  1. She does indeed make us very proud. She is using it toward her college bill; she's studying to be a dental hygienist, and she needed that badly. Wonder what she'll get at the upcoming New Year shindig?
  2. He's a LEO, and they're scared of him.
  3. It's a very exclusive country club; loaded with Thurston Howells.
  4. ... is a waitress. At Fairview Plantation, in Gallatin. She just called to tell us she got a tip. A $1400 tip. Can I have a life redo?
  5. They are a supporting vendor here. Perhaps their silence in this speaks volumes.
  6. I'll ask again; where can you get them?
  7. I must have one. Or more. From whence did it come, kind sir?
  8. Whiskey, I'm sorry, but I gotta have some fun with this, because you sound just like me! The parentheses additions would be what my wife would say:
  9. You can get them now.
  10. The LCR has the best snubbie revolver trigger than anything, my opinion. S&W's are much harder, and thereby harder to be accurate with; my experience only. I also like that a hammerless revo is good from inside your jacket pocket, as well. No casing to jam up. BUT, these things are not "all day at the range fun" guns. Of the two choices you present, I would go with the LCR.
  11. Looks like... ... all of them.
  12. Yeah, for the $#it in his pants!!!
  13. I am so sorry. I hope and pray the season goes ok for you. My intro to firearms was my Great Great Uncle Al Bradlau. My family is from CT, and Al was a 'smith at Colt's during the glory days of the 30's, 40's, 50's. His retirement gift was what got me. Two gold SAA's in a blue velvet presentation box. He wouldn't let me touch them, I could just stare... and I stared plenty. My first gun was a Colt Frontier .22. (New Frontier? Can't remember.)
  14. THIS!
  15. Don't leave home with it out, either! Wait...
  16. I think it probably stems from the fact that we have such better and more instant forms of communication, and find out about everything now, as opposed to years ago where news wasn't nearly as pervasive. Combine that with the fact that at least some of the world is less barbaric, and I think that gets us to the "now" parts.
  17. We've all seen the replies when speaking of the more diminutive calibers; you know, the ones that just "piss people off," unlike the "fo-nickel." (Yes, there is a segment of the population that refers to the Communion Wafer of the Church of JMB as the fo-nickel instead of .45. They're usually in mug shots. But I digress.) Anyway, it's common to read that they're "better than a pointy stick." However, we always say a man with a knife (basically a "pointy stick") is far more dangerous than a man with a gun. Anyone else see some inconsistency there? Perhaps the pointy stick is the better choice...?
  18. Caster, I've been this route. The biggest difference is the grip angle. Your muscle memory is set at a 1911 angle from the XD's. When you do the "eyes closed pick up" test, the Glock is going to be pointing way high. Once you've handled the Glock enough, the XD will point way low. Personally, I didn't want to mess with my "muscle memory." I wanted to settle on a platform of consistency for me, one that I would be used to regardless of caliber and would be automatic IF I NEEDED IT in a stressful situation. For other reasons, as well, I chose Glock, and it's all I use now. My 2 cents.
  19. I really, REALly, REALLY, REALLY would like this. But, I know I would never leave with a paycheck, which is what I need. I would keep turning them in for toys. Not good.
  20. Buy one. If you don't like it, give it to me. Problem solved.
  21. I... uh... think... it's the one... flying over Knoxville.
  22. Why can't I find a "Free Gun" zone?
  23. I think this is the first time I've ever seen so many freak out over MSRP. Like anything ever sells for that when it hits the street... (Unless it hits the street in front of Uselton's. That seems to give it a +10% bounce... )
  24. I think this is the best reply over there on Tacoma: "As a general rule, State-Oriented guns sites suck balls. PFOA, TNgun owners, MDshooters, ect. All are exceptionally ****ty for B/S/T stuff. Most of the time you get better deals at gun shows." Obviously hasn't been to a gun show in about 10 years...
