  1. They FAXED the label. It goes back in the morning...
  2. Wow. For the first time EVER... two minutes ago... Ruger called ME. They are sending the ship label, wanted to verify the address. This might be looking better... finally.

    why a Glock?

Thou hast answered thy own question. For ME, Glock feels better. For YOU, that's not the case. That's why there are different brands.
  4. Yes, and that's what I HATE about the new P-07 Dutys. The slide is stupid wide, because it doesn't ride inside the frame rails. Bad.
  5. Dolomite... that just made my stomach physically sick. Literally. I don't know how I would have reacted, had I been face to face with those... "rear orifice-cers..." That is maddening.
  6. I had one, an older glossy blued one, that had the C&L/decock option. I regret letting it go, it was hands down the best 9mm shooter I ever had; but I had a reason in my mind to let it go. As I got older, it became harder for me to carry an all steel gun all day. I got my first Glock, and decided polymer was where I needed to be. That, and the grip angle difference. When I got used to the Glock, the CZ would point low. Wanting to stay consistent, I sold the CZ. CZ's are most excellent. The compacts are awesome, you will not be disappointed when you do find and get one.
  7. Ditto...
  8. Ba-da-BING!!!
  9. Dang! Didn't mean to hit a nerve... didn't know it was a discussion before. Ok, how 'bout 9 vs. 45???
  10. Obviously not a Democrat.
  11. Seeing "tactical" and ".22" in the same sentence.
  12. FWIW, the lady I spoke with yesterday said she's never had a complaint in the 4 years she's worked there. WHY am I always phuckin' # 1?
  13. That's another thing, Sarge; not ONCE did they ever contact me during the process. If I didn't initiate a call, there was nothing. I understand the holidays and all; it's just like I was completely overlooked UNLESS I was on the phone with someone. And it was a supervisor I spoke with yesterday. I don't really care about a freebie for my trouble. I just want this gun back and RIGHT. I was really looking at trying to buy a new Mini-14. Now, I'm not so sure...
  14. Came in today. And I thought I was just pissed at the long wait. It looks like some kid ran cold blue all over the rust, thick as icing and lumpy... didn't even touch the magwell, it's STILL rusty... and now the finish is knocked off the barrel band. I am soooooo pissed. I called them immediately. They are sending a ship label... do I give them another chance, or tell 'em to phuck off?
  15. timcalhoun; your list is competition shooters. Irrelevant to the premise of the thread. Nice off topic post, though.
  16. I dunno. The stupid is strong in this one.
  17. The difficulty of disassembly/reassembly of the 1911 platform compared to the Glock/Beretta/SIG platforms would keep me away from it, actually. Not something I'd want to mess with under pressure.
  18. That's the one scenario that never gets discussed; possible religion involved. And that's what it was.
  19. You are NOT an idiot, at all. You were curious, you asked a question seeking information about it, and you received answers from a knowledgeable bunch of guys. An idiot would have been on the news first. You did good.
  20. Safety rule #11: USE THE CALIBER YOUR GUN WAS MANUFACTURED FOR.
  21. 75 ft rifle ready range at Sumner Guns and Supply in Gallatin... open 7 days a week, 9-9... 12-6 on Sunday... $10 before 10am M-F... $15 otherwise... just sayin'...
  22. Think of it this way; it's really a German gun, just built by towelheads. Better?
  23. Mine is an F, not a Quicksight. Thing is, it's really practically the same size as my G19, not a 17. And it has 19 rds. How compact IS the C? Like a 26?
  24. For $110 plus shipping, it better have been reblued!
