  1. The question for me would be, how often do I leave here to check something else?
  2. Well, this would seem to differ: http://www.dpmsinc.com/about/
  3. 9... not a 40 guy.
  4. If they can support themselves, they can bring a premium...
  5. Could be from guys that spent a lot and are po'd?
  6. Walther PPS... now there's tremendous lust in my heart. Gonna have to sell a male child, though...
  7. Doesn't the phrase "mil-spec" mean that certain quality requirements are met, and there's not a hoot's worth of difference to those parts, regardless of price tag?
  8. Awesome! Thanks, David!!
  9. I just received an e-mail alerting me, and sent a PayPal renewal... THEN I saw David's post here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/46940-benefactor-subscription-process-being-overhauled-thur-april-5/ Hope my renewal goes through ok...
  10. Yeah, that's hard to justify, in other than a serious photog's world. That's why I think $1500 1911's are crazy...
  11. Agreed, but define the parameters of "crap." Are you talking about the quality of the glass itself, and the image it produces, or the 5.6 speed instead of a very nice (and very expensive) 1.8?
  12. until

So, how does one get to it from the forum page? I can't see a link, just the old classified section. edit: I just made a separate bookmark for it. Only way I could figure out how to access it.
  13. Why anyone would have them priced differently is beyond me; it's just a color injection in the mold. It's not a different material or anything... like the pea soup... uh... OD models. (I do NOT like the green; yuck.)
  14. So he was fairly young. Pity.

    Trying to decide

Speaking for me... the 19. I don't like triggers that do a DA/SA transition. The 19's trigger pull is the same every time.
  16. Welcome to GGC! (Who died?)
  17. You're a Nikon guy. That Nikon set will be like getting back on a bike. It'll feel natural to you. And that's a pretty good range in the two lenses, from 18 to 200. They're not fast glass; that's expensive. And, the lens you have will mount to it. It won't do the auto stuff, but it will work.
  18. It's real. http://gunblast.com/Glock-21DE.htm
  19. I'd like to know that, as well.
  20. For me, My Glock 21 is most accurate. To each their own...
  21. I got turned down at a Gallatin pawn shop one time on an 870. They gave me the form, and on the way home, the guy called me and said to come back and get my gun. TBI called and said they accidentally typed in one wrong digit on my SS number. They apologized and told him to call me to come back and get my gun. (The BC was done over the phone, and the agent on the other end was typing in the info as the clerk related it.)
  22. Even the repair dept?
  23. FWIW, the ONLY M&P that fits my hand great is the .45c. I don't know why, but the full size .45 and the 9's regardless of size just feel like red-headed step kids. BUT, the .45c is perfection... for me. A G19 just feels like home...
  24. Ok; worked all morning, then got wife sidetracked... managed to get to the range for a short bit. After I got the sights where they needed to be... rear sight was way right... it is one good shootin' son of a gun. Dead on, and out in the sunlight, I would have to say the finish is actually very good. I'm happy with it. Why in the world did it take 5-6 months to get it right?
  25. Well, it showed up today, Friday. The box it went out in was a new cardboard box. The one it came back in was tattered, torn, and nothing but useless. Holes, chunks out of it; I guess someone in AZ was quite pi$$ed. The carbine itself looks better than it did last time. Looks like they might have actually disassembled it and stripped the old bluing and rust off this time. I plan on stopping at the range tomorrow after work and trying it out. Overall, at this point, I am really no longer much of a Ruger fan. We'll see if tomorrow changes that any.
