  1. Wow... I would LOVE to meet them!!!!!
  2. Great stuff, climber!!
  3. Steelharp

    Trying to decide

PPQ carries only 15 rounds in a package the size of a G17. Doesn't make much sense to me.
  4. Forgot; did an album project years ago with Dennis Weaver (Chester)... nice guy!
  5. Ah... well, then... but you know, most of that stuff is man made stuff that doesn't matter, anyway.
  6. Nah. We never kick anybody out. Jesus wouldn't have, either. "Neither do I condemn you," He said. You don't have to "get right" to go to church. You get that way after you know Him.
  7. Just laugh it off. Don't show it to folks... lol... Come to church with me. You can meet him. Cornerstone, ol' Maury.
  8. Yeah; snopes is kinda left of center... their "facts" are subject to interpretation.
  9. Take your time; I'm anxious to hear whatcha got, though...
  10. Uh... my Pastor was in prison. (Yeah, that one.) He says that's EXACTLY what it meant.
  11. They look just about like that... and that ol' Bud is looooooong gone... lol...
  12. Ba-da-BIIINNNG! Love that...
  13. Image Optical, 2531 West End Avenue, 327-1614.
  14. I met her under completely different circumstances. She was singing, doing a jazz gig, and our own evicted "Ralph G. Briscoe" (David Hungate) was playing bass. He introduced us, and she was very nice. But, ya never know...
  15. I met Josh once. His sons, Josh and Billy, are friends of mine. Josh was on H'ville PD... Billy's out in... MO or CA now, I think.
  16. Joe Bonsall. He's the tenor. Bumped into him at G&L in Hendersonville a couple weeks back. I snuck up behind him and said, "Whatever Richard's done now, it ain't worth it, Joe." He turned and looked at me, laughed out loud, and hugged my neck. He's a great guy.
  17. No, they won't do it. I did find a place, though.
  18. Richard's a pretty shy guy. He really is nice, just not as outgoing as the other guys.
  19. John Schneider is awesome. Ben Jones "Cooter" is awesome. All of them are... ... except Wopat. Not so much.
  20. "What would you say if the father of bluegrass music was to put his hand right there?"
  21. "There's a couple of big ones... a-all-RIIIGHT!" (Lester "Roadhog" Moran)
  22. He was so nice. It's a long story, but the short of it is he walked up to me, hand outstretched, and said, "Hello, son, I'm Ronald Reagan." Like I wouldn't know!! I said, "Hello, Mr. President, I'm Mike Douchette, and it's an honor to meet you." He then stood there and we chatted; he asked me questions about the instrument I was playing, etc. Extremely personable, affable man. I really miss him. Last true statesman we had.
  23. I did fondle a PPQ the other day. Trigger felt really good, and it fit my hand very well; but it seemed sizewise to be on a par with a G17, and it only holds 15 rds. That big, and 2 less rds doesn't seem like a good idea, to me.
  24. I was lookin' for that guy and couldn't find him...
  25. I have an antique (circa 1900) pair of reading glasses, and I really need some new +1.75 lenses made for them. Any idea where I could get that done locally?
