FFL to FFL can ship via USPS. Last time a dealer did that for me (about 3 years ago), it cost $12.50 to ship the handgun.

I'm supposing, because he said: ... that he did indeed mean what generation. That being the case... it depends on what grip style you like. The finger grooves of the 3rd gen models fit my hands perfectly. That's not the case with some. My hands are kinda big, but I have skinnier fingers than most. You need to try both 2nd and 3rd gen to see which feels most comfortable for you. Performance wise, there won't be any difference.

That's why there are different platforms. To satisfy everyone. I couldn't disagree more. Most balanced, best shooting .45 compact ever, to me.

Don't confuse the luck of your personal experience with one or two examples of the platform over someone's collective experience with 100's of examples, and deem it "not true." Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then.
