You sure about trades? (free bump)

Yeah, this M2 is not clean by any means and the stock that is coming is a blemished discount stock so I may just run it. I do have the new one coming but if this holds together I think I’ll take the $200 back and return the new one. I got the stuff to refinish it as well so might sand it if the crack bothers me. The larger part where my hand is near is smooth and level at least.
-
Looks like the stock won't make it here today... didn't make the trek from Memphis to Nashville nor delivered like was planned. The wood glue said to clamp 30 minutes then dry overnight. I clamped it for a few hours and will let it dry overnight. It ain't as pretty as it could be but it just might work! I'd love to send the other one back and save that $200...

I pulled the barrel off and it came with it, I just wasn't really thinking about the possibility of stuff falling when I had the barrel in one hand and the stock in the other. In my head I was breaking the gun in half and I was holding the two parts. In practice, just like taking down an O/U, there is that darned third piece there. Once it popped off it just fell off the moment it cleared... All I could do was watch, any sudden movement only would have broke something else. I just watched and listened to it crack and break apart and the tension rings go flying. I hurried to set down the barrel and stock/receiver as fast as I could then just started frantically pacing the basement doing the surrender cobra U of Mich fans made famous on the miracle MSU punt return touchdown to win the game. I walked to the computer, started frantically searching because I resorted to used eBay for this piece and payed just about MSRP for a new one... luckily Midway USA had 2 in stock and I already have tracking on it. I'm now just over $500 turning the M2 into wood... Hope that stock fits! Yeah.. my wallet said the same afterwards.

I can't either. The stock was supposed to be delivered today but I haven't seen it. And I dropped the forend and broke it! GAHHH. There goes $200... ordered another which should be here in a few days. I also have this one glued and clamped together so hoping it will still function and look... rugged? The stock I got is a blemished one as well... so maybe she'll just start out as a wood M2 with a lot of character!

Ok, my main sporter is a Browning Citori, I let the tall guy from the gun shop youtube talk me down that route with the Japanese made Browning. I invested in that, it's my gun! That said, doesn't mean I don't want to see what the other manufacturers have to offer. In this case I managed a shipping trade. I was trying to move a 20G Franchi Reniassance I got on this forum, on a whim I offered an even swap for someone on the auction site with this Beretta Model S685 in what looked to be near new condition. They accepted, which shocked and worried me, but they were a registered FFL, everything checked out, and they documented the gun with a ton of pictures (like the last one I got on there). So I figured, I was probably going to have my O/U on here for a long time so I might as well see about this trade and make it work. I managed to complete the transaction though it took a while. I shipped first, he received, then he shipped to me. I just picked the gun up today after a couple weeks and it looks exactly like the photos! It actually still had some of the factory grease in some corners! So once again, I cleaned it up, snapped some photos and here we go, you be the judge! The model S685 is definitely an interesting one, it's a 'low-end' Beretta, I don't know if it is a 'pre-cursor' to or just a cheaper version of but is closely related (it seems from appearance) to the standard 686 with a few exceptions. The first and foremost bing this gun has 'lifters' or 'extractors' and not ejectors. Honestly I don't mind this as I'm not great at catching ejected shells yet. It also has the automatic safety catch in it, which none of my other O/U's have (but the Franchi did as it was also a field version). This one has fixed F over M chokes in the barrels. The model was discontinued in 1986, I just found the date code and this one is a 1985 model, which is a significant year for me, so now I'm definitely in love with this pick-up. Other big difference which you can kind of see in the pictures is there is quite a bit of right hand cant. The Browning's I have are much more straight, or at least you don't notice quite as much angle. I've only shouldered the gun a few times, it seems pretty comfortable, my whole grip feels more compact. I probably watch too much TGS on youtube but you can feel that there is definitely more of something in this thing... style? class? I don't really know but it definitely is less 'tool' than the browning but is still the most 'tool' version of a Beretta O/U I think you can get. Also, I am converting my Benelli M2 Field 28" from the comfort tech stock and forend to wood. I noticed they sell wood finished M2's over seas and you can get the parts so I found a discount stock on ebay and forend. As I was putting the gun together I dropped the wood forend and you can see what happened in the pictures. I have a new one on order and am gluing this one but darn what an expensive mistake. I'll post pictures when it is done in a week or so.

I have a Citori CX White 30” barrel as my sporter. The 725 is a beautiful gun but I was already stretching my budget with the CX at the time.

I recently rediscovered my passion around shotguns, specifically over and unders as well as shooting sporting clays. I have been purchasing some here or there and my main tool is a new Browning Citori CX White, it's a fantastic sporting gun and I love it, but I go with other folks who often times don't have their own shotgun or do but it isn't necissarily ideal for a sporting course. I have let folks use my gun and I really don't have any issue with it but I think it's always nice to have more guns so what better excuse to get a not so nice version of my gun to clean up and work on and also shoot and share? Now these guns are a bit on the pricey side, and not necissarily the most popular type of shooting style here in TN so I chose to go the online route in search of a deal. I came across a posting for a used Citori, with 78 photos for <$1000.00. So I jumped at it, after loking through the photos I was fairly confident I was getting a well loved gun, it had been used but also well taken care of and customized a bit for the previous shooter. Those suspicions were confirmed when the gun showed up at my local FFL. I wasn't sure of the age of the gun but was pretty sure it was older than me. When I finally asked for the S/N to date it the seller had already dropped it off at their FFL and didn't even take note of the S/N. I received it today and sure enough it is a pretty darn good shotgun, definitly shot, but fit and finish is very nice, it's almost as tight as my brand new one, and the S/N checks out as a 1978 production year and the model designation is J53, which is a special order of their standard Grade I Hunter "153" configuration, meaning it was likely part of a large batch of orders for a specific chain of stores. It has 26" barrels, fixed choke of modified over improved cylider, which happens to be exactly what I run in my CX White (I knew that when I bought it), it has the automatic safety bar removed, and the butt pad has been shaved and rounded, so it seems like this gun was used as a clays gun. The only thing it doesn't have that I prefer is a mid-bead which I will look to add at a later date likely. Right now I'm just very happy with my purchase, I happened to have an old case I got on here for a trade a while back that she fits perfect inside of (and my CX White does NOT fit in with the extended chokes installed). Anywho, this is the result of a lot of foam cleaner, a lot of bore cleaning, and toothbrush work and then oil and lube. She has a few nicks and dings but nothing I'm not going to add to, and if I get really frisky later I may just take a crack at some repair/refinish work as I do enjoy working on my firearms.

Here is a Franchi Renaissance. I am the second owner, the original owner stated they didn't shoot it, I did have to clean off the packing grease from it when I purchased it from them and it did indeed look unfired. I have shot 1 round of sporting clays with them putting the round count at about 100. It comes with everything in the photos. It is everything that was with it when I took possession. Price is firm, cash. Trades would be for O/U shotguns in 12G.

I guess I would yeah. Not sure of the value as I got it on trade. I’ll put everything together and update this post in the next couple of days with all that additional info. -
I have a pretty darn nice, lightly used Smith & Wesson M&P10 in .308 Winchester or 7.62x51NATO. I have shot probably 50 rounds through it, would be surprised if the previous owner shot many more. Looks like almost new, some handling marks. I'm not an AR afficionato so I don't know much about it or what to look for. I have disassembled to remove the bolt and look at it but that is it. It has a nice floating heat shield installed but comes with the stock one. M-Lock angled foregrip installed on it. Has some nice Troy Industries flip up sights that will go with it as well. 5 Mags with 1 all metal 10 round mag. It is a nice rifle, with everything included, in the bag, ready to go, first $1,300.00 takes it. Also, still willing to trade towards a .308 M1A and maybe O/U shotguns depending.

Ok, so this ended up being interesting enough. If you have been following this close with a keen eye for edits. You will notice the case was pictures from an ebay post, to pictures of the original as I located the original shortly after posting and updated with those pics (shoutout to @221 Fireballfor locating the case, reaching out to me, holding on to it after I forgot about it and ghosted him, and still meeting me in a rainstorm to exchange it and not taking any money, major kudos to you good sir!). The interesting thing is, the ebay case came and it is actually from a gun manufactured 62 numbers away S/N wise and has the same exact case and parts. That said, the eBay one is more complete with even the lock in the factory box. I've added those photos here and will include the ebay case and all the parts with the sale of the gun so you can make a truly perfect kit and have some spares. Pretty good for a 25ish year old gun.- 19 replies

For sale is a Kahr MK9 9mm sub-compact, all metal, striker fired pistol. This little guy holds 6 rounds in the standard magazine. As you can see there is an assortment of mags included, (not all of which I have used and/or can vouch for, MK ones are definitely good though). I have the box and paperwork that came with the Kahr MK9, it looks like a late 90's date of manufacture). Asking $500.00 Here are the pics! Located in Franklin TN
