  1. I went to the first Independence Day parade in the nation at 12:00 this morning in Gatlinburg. It set the tone for further patriotism to come throughout the day. God Bless America!
  2. Glad I'm not the only one who was wondering this.
  3. I would like to apologize for the hostile nature of my last post. There were outside pressures that contributed to some of the comments I made, namely the amount of sleep I had, and the poor quality of the past few days. After getting some rest I realized that I had in fact contributed to the pettiness and hostility that I hate to see on these forums. This used to be a peaceful place where rational debate could take place, but as of late the quality of conversations is starting to decline. I'm using this opportunity to take the higher road and remove myself from further posting in this thread. If anyone has a problem with me or where I'm from so be it, you can say what you want about me here but I will no longer dignify it with a response.

    My Russian Lady

Oooo, she sure is purty, and I bet it shoots just as nice as it looks.
  5. We already know how you feel about it, and no one is forcing you to post in this thread. I believe the question at hand is "How much would you pay?", not "How much would you LIKE to pay?" And for me personally I would say $25.00 + TICS.
  6. [RANT] I hate it when places are closed on Sunday, it's one of the only things I miss about Michigan. I went to two different local gun shops on Sunday to buy my first XD and both were closed, well gander mountain wasn't and the gun was the same price...hmm what do you think I did... Then I go into shops and here them gripe about people going to big shops and not supporting the local places, well I would have if you open...jeez [/RANT]
  7. Welcome from a non-native Tennesseean.

    Hi

Welcome. I too am a yankee by birth, but a southerner by choice.
  9. Well I decided to sit on what cash I have and hope to God that something tempting doesn't come along between now and then. I made the mistake of going into some gun shops today and that only gave me more guns to lust after. Worse yet I could afford some of them now, I guess I'll just have to take it one day at a time...and hide my money somewhere clever.
  10. My cheap-o uncle mikes is a single clip and it doesn't move around at all. I would have to imagine a higher quality IWB would be the same way. Is the holster for the sigma or the cougar? It's been a while since I read this thread last. Either way I've been looking into a crossbreed supertuck: http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/beltslide.html and they make them for both.
  11. I don't see how that solves anything. My XD9 fills the Glock 19 position already, and slightly better IMHO.
  12. I don't want the Kimber because it's small or else I would go with the ultra carry. I just like the size and the weight of the aluminum frame. Also the EMP is more than double what I can get the Kimber for, and as sexy as it is I can't wait a year to get one. The more time I spend thinking about it the more inclined i am to wait it out and keep them both even if it means paying full price down the road.
  13. I'm thinking about trading in on of my XD's toward a Kimber Pro Carry. The only question is which one (or neither)? Do I keep the 9mm so I can shoot more affordable ammo? Do I keep the .45 so that I have two guns that use the same caliber? Or do I just sit on both of them and wait until I have the cash on hand to buy the Kimber outright (probably 3-6 months)? Ideally I would do the latter, but I found a lightly used one at a very reasonable price and it wouldn't take too much cash plus the trade in to get the Kimber. I tend to overly analyze every purchase I make non matter how simple but this is a big one so I need a little help. Let me know what you think.

    FN Five-Seven

Interesting you'd say that I've been seeing them all over lately and for less money than usual, $850 at one place IIRC about a week ago.
  15. And here I am squandering every penny to get just one gun... Congrats on the purchases they both look amazing.
  16. Shame I don't live closer, I hear these shows are pretty decent. There's a show here in Knoxville on the 30th but I've never heard anyone say anything good about the shows here. Just did that a week ago, luckily it was only 92 and humid and it only took 2 16 hour days . Good luck with that.
  17. Yes, but once she did and found out it didn't break her shoulder she liked it.
  18. Don't do that. I already have her bugging me for an M1a thanks to tower I don't need her desire for expensive guns to grow, unless she would share...but I know her better than that .
  19. Welcome. I'm relatively new to the state as well, lived here about 1 year now and I've loved every second of it.
  20. You're tellin' me.
  21. I know I have a timeslip of a 13.7 that I can post I may have a video as well. Check out http://www.regalgs.org/ if you would like to see them in the 11's. EDIT: Heres the timeslip, I'm on the right obviously, the other lane was a neon IIRC. I've formatted my computer twice since then and this one was on an old external HD so I don't have the vids anymore, they weren't of my car anyway but another regal. I think I still have the actual timeslip of the 13.6 run but I just moved so It'll take some digging before I can find it.
  22. We had a good time as per usual. Of course now I have to buy a P22, but other than that it was a harmless day. Sorry I killed your mic .
  23. Yes, it is a Regal GS supercharged. I don't know if my mod path was "normal" or not but I will tell you y progression. I started with SLP ceramic coated headers and a full 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster 40 series, then I under drove the supercharger from a 3.8" pulley to a 3.4" pulley. I built myself a cold air intake and installed some solid upper motor mounts, then I did my own reprogram of the PCM. Then I added 1.9:1 ratio rockers and under drove the s/c again to a 3.25" pulley, and that is where it sits now. I know fully well that it isn't the fastest car on he road but it is good enough to embarrass a lot of cocky drivers on the road.
  24. It's not really a money pit anymore, because the miles are getting up there. Most will probably just laugh but it's quick for what it is. I've done quite a few mods to it and 13.6 @ 104 is my best time.
  25. Well a D+ isn't bad but we have to push harder for that F.
