  1. The very first time I ever drove to oak ridge I got one and I have never been back to oak ridge since. I will spend my dollars else where. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Not going to happen.   Could the HOA take away your freedom of speech and religion?   Take away your 4th amendment rights, so they can search your house any time they want?
  3. I moved here from CO and watched the state go from conservative/republican to a liberal/democrat majority.   The issue is more and more people do not have what it takes to go out in this world and do what ever it takes to become self sufficient. As the economy worsens, the number of people like this increases., as the standard of living decreases, those type of people increase.   Talk to young people today.    Lots of them have simply given up before they even got started. They had visions, taught by the older generations who raised them, of being able to make a great living etc.....All they talk about now is how life isn't fair, I was lied to, all I can find is a min. wage part time job, the older generations screwed up this country and stole my future etc... They want nothing more than to see wealth redistribution and most vote democrat. Around 65% and this generation is as big as the baby boomers.    Also, the younger generation are more diverse and socially liberal, so when republicans rant about conservative social issues, it turns the young away and they will not vote for them even if they like what else they have to say.    If the trend continues, there is no way to stop it as the old die off and the younger generation become a bigger percentage of the vote. They have the numbers. Some say we have already reached the tipping point. I don't think so personally.
  4. Only going to get worse until new manufacturing capacity is built. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. One huge problem is even though demand is through the roof, has increased year after year which will only continue to increase with population growth, and businesses are sitting on a ton of cash, they are so risk adverse they will not invest and expand to meet demand. Also, new players won't come into the market. Business today is about maximizing profits while continually cutting costs like labor, keeping your business at 100%+ capacity and leaving a bunch of business on the table. Increasing your market share is not a priority. Basically businesses today have no new competition even though demand is continually increasing because business today is so risk adverse. 6. New reloader here.   I am setting up a reloading area in my garage. It is insulated, but no heat or AC.   For those that reload in your garage, is it OK to store powders and primers in the garage or should they be stored inside?   I moved here from CO, where it was VERY dry and you never worried about moisture, rust etc..... so I am not sure what to expect with respect to dies (rust), powder, primers etc....    Any suggestions or what your experience has been would help out, thanks.
  7. I have either owned or shot every single stack 9mm out there. I went through a lot of pistols before I finally found something I was satisfied with.   The only one I still currently own is the M&P Shield in 9mm.   The Nano is a good pistol, but I don't like shooting high bore height pistols, I like the trigger pull on the Shield much more, Shield gave me 1 extra round of capacity with the standard magazine and I didn't like the absence of a slide release.
  8. The whole situation is absolutely ridiculous.    If the manufactures will not expand 22lr production, there is no end in sight.    Demand and ownership of 22lr ammo and firearms is only going to keep growing.
  9. The reason for the lack of 22lr is the manufacturers simply can't manufacture enough to meet demand.   The industry can produce about 8billion rounds of 22lr per year.   There are about 100 million owners who have a 22lr firearm.   Now usually, 90%+ of those owners don't shoot. Those firearms have been sitting in closets, under beds, hanging on the wall etc forever..... but panic set in and EVERYONE wanted to go buy some ammo.   Now do the math, 8,000,000,000/100,000,000 = 80 rounds per person per YEAR.   Now add in all the people who are getting it right off the truck and reselling it on gunbroker or at gunshows and there is no wonder 22lr has been impossible to find for so long.
  10. Never again!!! I don't care what the price is.
  11. Thanks for the info guys. I will stop on by and see David.    Of those two gun shows, which one do you guys like best?
  12.     Is this the gun show in Chilhowee Park?
  13. Hi guys, I am new to the area (Knoxville) and wondering where to go to buy powder and primers?   Any suggestions of local places in order to avoid hazmat?   Thanks
