Ransom Eli Olds founder of Oldsmobile started REO after he had a conflict with Oldsmobile that he had sold and was working for. He started with cars and branched out to trucks. Through many mergers and such it lasted till 1975 when it was mostly liquidated. Volvo owns the rights to the name.

I have been happy with my Gen 2 Sub 2000. Been tempted on the new Ruger and may eventually get one but hard to justify the money for something I already have a good equivalent, when there are so many other toys to buy.

You have an advantage not being a car salesman already, no bad habits. In 50+ year of buying cars I only liked a salesman well enough to go back and buy a second car once. I guess I can say that about dealers also. Would have bought more from that salesman if I knew where he went when the dealer went out of business. He remembered my name and would see me waiting for service and stop and chat for a minute. Didn't pull the I need to check with my manager to access and was willing to make the deal work for both of us.

Snipers at Stalingrad, not sure what they were shooting at or were they just shooting in the air in the hopes they would come down on someone.

Have you tried walking into your regular bank and asking for a mortgage? I applied at a credit union and a bank when we bought this place 3 years ago and both offered me a good mortgage. At the time I didn't have an account with either. The credit union was where I planned to do my banking and have, but actually got the mortgage with the bank. They had a .25% better deal on a 30 year mortgage.

I would have considered lifetime but the break even point for me would put me at 102 years old. The hassle was minimal doing it online. My photo is only 3 years old so they probably figured how much worse could he look. My drivers license renewal trailed by a day and I did that online also and they dd the same thing, so I lost 3 months on that also. Got it today. Thought both were interesting, since they both were shortened when I got them to sync with my birthday and now they are not synced anymore.
