  3. My problem is I only buy and never sell. I have a few I probably should sell because I don't get them out often but I bought them for a reason. Last (only) gun I traded was when I was about 14 and I still regret it and it was just an old junk single shot 10g.
  4. Here is one for the 4th of July. 1945 - Group of U.S. Army nurses sunbathe beside a 40mm anti-aircraft gun
  5. Welcome from the other side of the mountain, nice to have another member in the neighborhood. I get to Erwin often, only 10 miles away through the pass, was at Ford today. I usually shoot my bigger stuff at the NF Shooting Range just so I don't aggravate the neighbors.
  6. I have an earlier version of this Makita set https://www.amazon.com/Makita-LCT209W-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless/dp/B005CQ1RGI/ref=sr_1_6?s=power-hand-tools&ie=UTF8&qid=1530584432&sr=1-6&keywords=makita+drill+set&refinements=p_89%3AMakita%2Cp_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A2399140011 I was amazed at what these little drills can do and they are so small and light it doesn't wear you out to use it. I just got done putting wood siding on my steel Carolina Carport using the impact driver. I thought I was going to have to run 100 foot of extension cord to use my heavier corded drill but the little impact driver did the job without breaking a sweat.
  7. I put one of these on my want list a few weeks ago when I first saw a review on them. I haven't tried to find one yet, to actually touch, but will be looking. Being KelTec I expect it to be a long search. I have their 2nd Gen Sub 2000 and SU-16C, love both of them. Was wondering what the street price would end up being.
  8. Yep house and shop are about 80-90% switched to LED. When I started the conversion 3 years ago I looked into direct bulb replacement for my 4 foot florescence and at that time fixture replacement was cheaper. I ended up putting about 3 times as much light in the work area of the shop and moved most of the displaced florescence to the storage area of the shop. As they go bad I will replace them with new LED fixtures. The fixtures I used were lower profile than the florescence fixtures and had the added feature of plugging end to end so one power run could power a whole long strip. Most of the of the house bulbs were just tungsten floods and lamp bulb replacement. I replaced the ones I used the most first, the rest are being replaced as they burn out or I fall in to great deals. Just pick the right color temperature for where they are being used.
  9. Any takers

  14. I would wait till the first deposit from SS went into the new bank before I completely closed the BoA account. When we moved I kept my old credit union account open for about 6 months till all the dust settled and I was sure I didn't need it any more, then I closed it remotely with a phone call.
  15. Looks like another good one for a caption.

  22. Double trouble
  23. Just thought I should add the first gun I ever bought new, the rest before that were gifts, is a Hi-Standard Dura-Matic M-101 semi pistol - 1969. Still have it and try to get it out at least once a year. I had to put a reproduction grip on it a few years ago, it cracked the first year I had it and I glued it, but now a fellow makes reproduction every so often and when he sells out they are unavailable till he thinks he can sell another batch. Took me a couple of years to catch them in stock.
