  1. My local gun shop before I moved had a good setup. Their entrance was up a few steps so a car could not be used to smash in. They had steel bars on the windows and steel doors that had cross bar locks on the inside. Several area shops with solid glass protection were robbed up their also. Two of them went out of business after the robbery because they couldn't afford the insurance after a break in. A gun shop of any size could not possibly lock everything in safes every night. The number of safes and the time to open and close everyday would be prohibitive.
  2. Mine are do next Summer, both DL and HCP, I seem to remember at some point we are old enough (dirt is dirt) they don't think we need new pictures. Anyone know if that's true?
  3. Only a little off topic. I have an app on my smart phone called CCW that gives all kinds of gun law info for all 50 states and DC including reciprocity and such. Every time you start it up it checks for updates for the data it uses and asks if you want to be updated. It wasn't free but it was only a couple of dollars.
  4. How about Armed Motorcycles or do you have a good caption?
  5. John Y. Nelson - frontier scout
  6. Yep, you may be right. Looks like a solid floor not dirt he has the barrel balanced on, still not good. but better than dirt. I'd still take it.

  8. I have one like Hozzie uses in my big safe along with a meter to keep an eye on humidity and it has stayed below 50% ever since installed. My smaller safe has one of the Eva-Dry https://www.amazon.com/Improved-Eva-dry-500-Renewable-Dehumidifier/dp/B00BD0FN8A/ref=pd_sim_201_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XE73AD975F3W3YMSW5SQ I just pul it out when the indicator shows it needs to be charges and plug it in the wall over night. I also keep another Eva-Dry in one of my ammo storage cabinet, a small frig, and the dry packs in my other long term ammo storage boxes.

  18. I agree the money isn't enough from what I see in East TN for 60 acres. I have not had any problems with the native born treating me as an outsider. My best shooting friend has roots back to before TN was a state. Maybe because I don't think of them any different than anyone else. I have more problem from a few yankees that complain about things not being the same as where they came from. I actually told one fellow maybe he should move back. I partially solved the land problem by buying next to the National forest, I only have 7.5 acres but have tens of thousand of acres out my back door. And I do shoot off my back deck. Half hour or less from big cities that have everything I need.
  19. The Earp photo may be from a different movie. Here is a picture of Wyatt, if it is the same person this picture is when he was older.
  20. Maybe Judge Roy Bean can settle the dispute :-)
  21. I looked up Tombstone's publicity shot and if mine isn't real it isn't from the 1993 movie. Here is the movie shot.
