  1. My workbench for dirty work is a very old used machinist bench. My gun work bench is two used office 2 drawer filing cabinets (the ones that are deeper and have heavy slider drawers, lots of good storage), not the cheap box store type. I added a solid core smooth door for the top. I covered the whole thing with low nap carpeting. Plenty heavy for a light duty vise.
  2. I never got around to ordering one but did some looking last summer. I was looking for one to plug in and leave that I could read from my smart phone. Some/all of the cheap ones were not recommended to leave connected all the time because they pulled some current even when the vehicle was off. The more expensive ones didn't pull as much or none at all.
  3. I think we have a malfunction

  5. Thanks, wonder if the wife will let me by a hog gun, just in case.

  7. Just curious here since I don't think the hogs have moved in to this part of TN yet. I haven't hunted in years and at my age I don't plan to start again but if a wild hog is on to your property can you shoot it out of season and without a license as a nuisance?
  8. Thanks, after reading your review and a couple others online, I bought one. Found a coupon for another $10 off, $88.20 delivered. Already arrived and I have played a bit. Haven't had time to do a lot with it but should help trigger control. May even try some holster draws. I debated on what caliber to get and finally decided on .380 since my Ruger is where I need the most work. I figured there was a good chance it might also work in my 9s and if it didn't I order another laser if it looked like I would use it. Works fine in my Glock 19 and KelTec Sub 2000. No ejection grove so will not work with my LCR 9mm with moon clips but the 9mm laser wouldn't either since if they put the grove in the semis would eject it.
  9. Don't know the story on this one. Appears to be a dead man carrying a rifle.

  13. Maybe, but since she has a gun too, maybe she said: You shot it you clean it.

  15. I own both LCP 1 & LCP 2 and would go with 2. I paid $240 for mine last Summer.

  18. You will love it down here. It will take a while to get use to all the freedom but it is great. I made the move about 4 years ago. First gun shop I stopped in, even before we had officially moved, asked where I was from and when I told him he said welcome to America. So I pass it on to you for when you get moved.

  23. First refund I have had in years. First time doing electronic filing since I never saw a reason to rush a check to them. I filed last Thursday afternoon and the money showed up in my checking account yesterday. Hard to believe, would have been happy with 3 or 4 weeks. I have already adjust my withholding so I should be even or owe some next year.
  24. Here you go. The longer one I made for use on the barrel also but I usually use a bore snake.

    Collections

I auctioned my coin collection before I moved, majority sold at silver value but a few good things, I got around $600 for that. Tried to auction the stamp collection, which had lots of new plate blocks and such, the auction house said use the stamps. Nothing rare and they would not even get face value our of the unused stamps. I gave them to a stamp collector friend didn't want to put 8 to 10 stamps on each envelope. Both collections were started when I was a kid and not much done with them for 50 years or more.
