  1. New tires anyone?
  2. Loaded Packard
  3. Bonnie & Clyde want a be
  4. Her hobby helps fund mine. I don't question what she buys and she doesn't question what I buy. Since we are both cheap it works. If we weren't we would run out of money pretty quick.
  5. Looks like another photo begging for a caption.
  6. She had a great time, finished a bunch of lap quilts (I think she said 6) she had partially done (she makes them for several charities). Already has next year on the calendar. I think she said there were 28 women sewing away. One nights they went till midnight and 11pm the other 2 nights.
  7. Troops of the 64th Infantry Brigade, 32nd Division 10-18-1918
  8. Yep. I had my Passport and my wife had hers but it had expired a week or so before we went in and they would no accept it. She had to go back the next day with her birth certificate. We couldn't understand why they would not take a just expired Passport since she had went through the checks to get it in the first place. I don't know if they issue a different license if you are not a citizen but are legally in the country.
  9. Wife's back home, no more movie marathons for awhile, but the foods better and other things
  10. Grown up Girl Scout from above?? American woman in the war effort - WW II 1943
  11. Switched to super heros for my last night of no wife viewing. Watchmen was ok a bit confusing at times. Black Panther surprised me after all the hype, it was good.
  12. My wife and I are in the group that just renewed also. I don't understand why if the proof needed is the same as was needed to get a license why the new ones are not just automatically issued.
  13. Girl Scouts use to be better prepared
  14. The Way Of The Gun, looks interesting I added it to my list. Continued my, "no wife at home", watch list tonight with a Netflix original Polar. High body count by mostly one person. still very unbelievable action but a fun watch. Bailed on the double feature about 20 minutes in, Doom, just wasn't doing it for me.
  15. I found a place that backed up to a National Forest on one side and lots of space in the other 3 directions. I shoot off my back deck into the hillside that slopes up to the National Forest. I don't have anything as ambitious as 300 yards but I can't hit much beyond 50 yards anyway. I have neighbors but lucked out that on my 1/2 mile dead end road everyone owns guns and at least 4 others have ranges setup or are setting them up. I try to keep the shooting of the really loud stuff to just once in awhile. I have asked some of the closer neighbors and they say the rest of my shooting they don't even notice. One neighbor has a 300 yard range setup and I have been invited to shoot on it but haven't yet. He has been up and shot on my shorter range with his handguns. Just follow standard safety rules setting up your range and you will be fine.
  16. My wife is off to a 4 day quilting retreat so I get to watch all the movies she doesn't like. I had all 3 Expendables movies on the DVR so did a marathon, watching all 3. I saw them all before but not for awhile and not in one continuous showing. Lots of action, don't worry about reality movies. Only saw them reload a couple of times in 5+ hours of near non stop action. They didn't run out of ammo much more often. Good clean fun . Expendables 4 is expected this year. Was on the laptop while watching so I brought up the firearms movie database http://www.imfdb.org to look a few guns up that were particularly interesting. There were pages and pages of different weapons used in those movies. The two that I wanted to read more on was the Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) and the M134 Minigun. The AA-12 I wasn't familiar with, interesting gun and made just down the road from me in Piney Flats. Says it was built to only need cleaning every 10,000 rounds, which at 300 rounds/minute is not a long time I guess. The M134, once I looked it up, I had read about before. They were more realistic on how long a load last in the M134, 10 seconds at 3000 rounds/minute. Two more nights of violent TV then the wife gets home.
  17. Another Annie

  19. Since I really think Bonnie was a repeat here is an extra one.
  20. I don't think this photo of Bonnie has been posted. No gun but we know she has some nearby.
  21. I decided to get rid of my coins a few years back (before move to TN) and found an auction house that specializes in guns, coins, stamps and a few other collectibles. They don't mix them to much in one auction but they do coins and stamps together. I had bought a few guns from them and they seemed honest so I called and made an appointment and took about half my coin and all my stamps down. They spend an hour or so going through them with me and made the judgments on the fly what would sell high enough to be worth their commision (I think they charged the seller 10% and the buyer 10%). I went home with the coins they said to spend and all the stamps, they said they would not sell for even face value. Was generally pleased with the prices they got, some much higher than expected and some a little less, so I took the other half down and did the same thing. Probably could have spent years and sold them myself and made a bit more but this was easy and relatively fast. I say relative because they usually only did one coin auction a month and they had enough items consigned that they spread my first batch over a two months and the second batch was a few months later. I thought about keeping the silver for when the SHTF but I also knew my Dad's collection was still sitting at my Mother's place and it was several times bigger than mine and I would eventually end up with those also. I haven't looked for such a place in TN but they must exist.
  22. Another photo that needs a caption.
  23. A friend of mine from Western NY posted this on different forum about his Ryobi battery operated blower. In New York you need a pistol permit. If there are kids in the house you must have a trigger lock or have it locked away in a gun safe. You are only allowed to use a battery with 7 cells or less. It is illegal to use the big batteries with more than one row of cells. I installed a gun safe in my shop so I could have easy access to it to blow the sawdust off my table saw.
