A Machine Gun Corps post in a barn near Haverskerque, 1 May 1918 is what the caption said but I don't see any machine guns.

I don't consider myself burned out but I went on a buying spree after moving to a free state three years ago and there is only a couple of guns left on my want list and I haven't found them yet. Got two on my list back in January. I did add one new one a month ago but it will be an impulse buy when I find it, if I have the cash. I do need to shoot more, no excuse, just been busy or too hot or both.

Pocket holster recomendations for Ruger LCP II
Jeb48 replied to tercel89's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I use the DeSantis Super Fly on my LCP the shape looks like a wallet when it is in your pocket. The square part is Velcroed on if you want it smaller. I think I spent around $30 for mine so shop around. https://www.desantisholster.com/super-fly/ -
I have a 9mm and a .45acp revolver that take moon clips. I like them, I consider them as having light weight speed loaders. I found some soft rubber cap things that were used to protect/close the end of a tube that work as protective covers so I can carry a spare loaded moon clip in my pocket.

Mark beat me too it, was just going to say something similar. I have 3 large MagLite and MagLite like flash lights (lots of smaller ones, don't we all) and they are all in wall holders by doors, two in the house and one in the camper. Big, heavy, bat like flashlights have other uses beyond putting out light. The one non MagLite puts out a real 1000 lumens, it is by the back door ready to go if needed.

I did a 2 and a 3 cell that I converted years ago when MagLite first offered the upgrade. Made them lots brighter but not as bright as the new ones at the time that were made to be LED. Battery life is great, I often replace the batteries because they have reached the best use by date before they decide to leak because I didn't run them down yet.

Your's looked like the main parts were made out of what car people call pot metal. Same stuff they made cap guns out of in the 50s.

If that is the .22 short revolver you showed me, I guess I would pass on the long version. Not sure I would want to shoot it. They would have to improve the quality to get it up to Saturday night special.

We use to go to Maine once or twice a year. A lot depends on what your interested in seeing. A couple of great car and transportation museums. Owls Head is a very formal car and aircraft museum and the Cole museum in Bangor is general transportation and has so much stuff in it you have to look up down under and around constantly, the better of the two if you only do one. Highway 1 is a nice drive but can be a parking lot at times so you may want to have an alternate route in mind if it is too bog down. Lots of good lobster eating, the best are close to the docks and have fresh off the boat. A couple of times when on less traveled roads we found fisherman's wives serving lobster in the front yard at picnic tables. For a slightly lighter fair try the lobster rolls. Even some of the McDonalds server them. For way off the beaten path Bagaduce Lunch, Penobscot, it is a real hole in the wall but great Lobster rolls and onion rings, you sit outside on a bay where depending on the tide a creek running into the bay might be flowing out or in. Booth Bay also has an interesting fish shack for good fried fish. Lots of light house to see if your into them. If I think of some other good spots I'll post another note.
