  4. Concealed Carry?
  5. Yep I noticed that too. Wondered how long it would take for someone to see it
  6. Detectives William Murphy left and Owen D. Kennelly practiced jumping from a moving squad car with riot and machine guns, July 1939, preparing a Police and Fire Thrill Show at Soldier Field.
  7. Thanks Capbyrd for the research. I have seen numerous photos of the car and never knew who had it made. It apparently still exists and is in the King Ranch Museum. Here is a shot of the interior, not much of a gun picture but you can see the butts of three rifles in the fender.
  8. I have featured this car before but I think these are new photos.
  9. Yep did it again, I seem to have some duplicates to clean out of my files. Here is a different Texas Ranger photo from a bit earlier time.
  10. Texas Ranger Frank Hamer
  11. Just realized I posted a repeat so here she is all grown up.
  12. I don't have the acreage you have but a neighbor asked if he could put a tree stand on my property and I said no problem just remember where the house is and I get a steak if you get a deer. Had the same arrangement with some hunters at our old place. They appreciated the free place to hunt enough they brought me a steak the first year even though they didn't take the deer on my property. Since you say you're not doing it for the revenue maybe you should just ask for a list of who is hunting and ask for some of the meat for the use of the land. They may keep you in free meat and they may continue to help you with your property.
  13. I burned my Yankee card the first week I was here. I asked a fellow that was delivering some lumber at our house how long I had to wait to start complaining about the Yankees and he asked if I had my TN drivers license and I said yes and he said feel free to start complaining. Amanda/Jeremy if you're checking out your options feel free to ask questions, we are mostly friendly. If you have already jumped in to TN, welcome to the United States.
  14. Welcome. Our permits are Handgun Carry Permits. Carry any way you want. The good news is the signs are seldom if ever inforced beyond telling you to leave but unfortunately do have penalties if they are enforced. You will have to take an 8 hour course (unless I missed a change in the last 4 years) but other than cost (they vary but most are around $50) are easy including the live fire. Total time for me from course to permit in hand was about 10 days. I moved with a NY and UT out of state CC plus I had two NRA pistol courses with live fire but none counted.
  15. Greatest Generation
  16. This one has caption possibilities.
  17. Young Theodore Roosevelt with his high carved tiffany hunting knife and rifle circa 1885
  18. My wife and I had our shot for the first vaccine when we were first old enough, doctor made us sign a paper saying we would pay for it if the insurance didn't. We just got our second shot of the new vaccine. Heard claims the new one is 95+% effective, I hope so. I have not heard of any effective treatment once you have it other than treat the symptoms.
  19. A few photos in honor of D-Day.
  20. I had a console vault in my previous truck an F250, a different brand http://pickupspecialties.com/ but it installed easily and I liked it. Unfortunately the E250 I have now has a console that slides right out and no one would build a vault for it. Been trying to figure out other options. I liked it and would buy again if I had a supported vehicle.
