  1. I got a coach gun for Christmas
  2. I have a 8 year old 16" Husqvarna. I had it narrowed down to Stihl or Husqvarna, same dealer same great service and it came down to the ease of adjusting chain tension on the Husqvarna that won me over. When came time to buy a heavy duty weed chopper I went Stihl. Both are great brands. My old place I had the same problem for longer shots and never did get a path through the trees cut.
  3. A ski-soldier of the American 10th Mountain Division. M1 Carbine over the chest instead of on the back was common for the alpine troops when traveling on skis.
  4. If you decide to expand your steel check out these guys, https://shootingtargets7.com/ I have a lot of steel on my range and most has come from them, I find there prices and shipping very competitive. When you get on their mailing list they send you an eMail for every holiday for a special discount and I mean every holiday, even groundhogs day. I usually wit for sale to expand or change my setup. I particularly like their bullseye targets. I use to pick up cheap paint at discount stores or flea markets but recently bought a case of target paint from https://www.rangestore.net/ covers much better and faster. I color code my targets so they don't all have to be the biggest thing I want to shoot. I have some .22 only targets then handguns and carbine and then a few that I can shoot most anything at within reason. The color coding helps when you have guests. Home ranges are great, I can go out to 30 yards from my deck with no real setup and if I drag out my portable shooting bench I can go out to 50 yards. Have to drive to a public range for longer shooting but have two neighbors that plan 100y and 300y ranges and both have used mine and say their range will be open to me when completed. At least two other neighbors have ranges but I haven't introduced myself yet, I just her the shooting.
  5. Soldiers of the 8th Panzer division of the Wehrmacht posing at the captured French heavy tank Char 2C Champagne. France, may-June 1940
  6. If there is power in shed or could be added, why not add a little insulation and make a he-shed. Add an electric heater mounted in a safe spot and you're all set. I would think a sealed box with some desiccant bags and you could even leave the powder out there.
  7. Hadn't checked them out before, just put in an order last night for some 30-30 range ammo, cheapest price I had found on a small order (200 rounds). I was waiting till after Christmas to put in an order to a different site for the exact same ammo and had to buy 400 rounds to get it as cheap.
  8. Nice Chevy
  9. Another what movie who's the actress? This looks like an early movie. I would not want to run into her.
  10. Super Secret Under Water Tank Shermans off the coast of Donegal Ireland
  11. There was a dish in my backyard when we bought our house. Once I was happy with the outside antenna I installed and what I could stream over 6mb DSL (never subscribed to Dish), I removed the dish and told the company to come get it and they said I should keep it so it went in the landfill. The nice post they had it mounted on made a nice place to cantilever a target hanger and it became part of my back yard range. Unfortunately the target is close enough to the post that it is getting rather holey and may have to be replaced at some point. Already getting a bit weak.
  12. When I got mine 4 1/2 years ago I checked online the evening I finished all the requirements and it already said it had been approved and to expect the permit in 10 days to two weeks, it took less than 10 days as I recall.
  13. Texas Rangers - Nat B. Jones
  14. Guess I was lucky, only been to DMV twice, once to get my drivers license when we first moved and once for my carry permit a month or so later and both time I was in and out in under 15 minutes. Didn't plan a specific time or anything just went when it was convenient.
  15. I have an LCP and LCP-2. I much prefer the LCP-2 for reason stated, but if you go for the original get the Hogue grip for it, otherwise your hand will be sore before you finish the second mag. The 2 grip is just enough bigger in the grip that it doesn't need the Hogue grip unless you want to shoot it a lot. I usually shoot 3 magazines most times out to the range and then move on to more fun to shoot guns. Moped said the magazines are not interchangeable but they are, the only difference is original mags will not allow the LCP-2 to hold back the slide on the final round. Original does not leave the slide back on final round with either style magazine. I interchange mags all the time.
  16. I also use Precision One in my Ruger .380, based on the testing from Ammo Quest.
  17. Kel-Tec PMR30 feeds 30 rounds reliably from reviews I have seen. Was tempted last month at a gun show but resisted.
  18. Nice Uniforms
  19. We get by very nice with an outside over the air antenna, 50+ channels with around 20 unique and worth watching, at least some of the time. We add Netflix minimal (1 TV and Standard Res) and last year got the Hulu 99 cents a month deal that just ran out and haven't decided if I should cancel since my wife like some of the programing. Just recently added a Roku and still exploring that (no monthly fees if you stay away from the premium stuff). I feed the antenna to a 4 tuner box hooked to my main computer and use Plex to record and arrange my shows so we can watch what we want when we want an skip commercials.
