Welcome to TN and TGO. I took the NRA's handgun self defense course and found it very helpful. They did require the basic handgun course first. Had a very good instructor for both (same person) and he added some extras beyond the NRA required parts, by talking through lunch (if you brown bagged) and extending the day for those that wanted to hang around.

I was surprised when we got them last time because of an inheritance in 2019 that I thought would put us over the limit, they must have used 2018 taxes. Gave most of it away to local food bank and bought gift cards from four of my favorite restaurants that if they survive I will use after they have recovered. So I probably will not get any stimulus this time, if I do I plan to spend them the same way I did the first time. So far the 4 restaurants have survived and we try to get curbside often, but probably not often enough.

Tanya Roberts died on the 3rd and I thought I post a few shots of her in the Bond film A view to a Kill 1985 and some shots from the year she was Charlie's Angels.

I pick these pictures up around the interweb and I think some get mislabeled after a few postings so can't swear on any that I have captions for. So I take no offensive if a few get corrected.

I'm getting close to enough .22s. I may be forgetting a couple but I think I have 7 handguns, 4 semi, 3 revolvers and 7 long guns including an S&W 15-22. All are fun for and get out on a regular bases. Cheap fun even at today's inflated ammo prices. I stocked up after the last shortage so I'm good for a long time.

At least down here the snow only stays on the ground for a few days to a week. Some years in NY we didn't see the ground from before Thanksgiving till March and the piles finally went away in April or May. My only surprise was when they talked about more snow at higher elevations that the 300' we are up on the side of the mountain can make a difference of 2 or 3" of snow from a mile away. A neighbor that now lives about 200 feet lower than us use to live about 300 feet further up and he said that would make another 2-3" of difference.

Thanks Red for the recommendation I have two different proximity alarms on my 1200' drive. One is the same style as the Dakota and the other is above ground. The below ground one was first and was missing about 20% of the traffic and almost always missed the UPS truck, can't get much more mass than that. I added the second one after a friend had good luck with the brand and it is about 80% also and also misses UPS trucks most of the time. I figured if both were 80% I could get close to 100% between the two but they both seem to miss the same vehicles most of the time. I was looking to see what else was available. I really would like to know why the UPS trucks misses most of the time, like you my lawnmower, that has a fiberglass body on a steel frame, sets both off no problem. A plus for have two with different alert sounds is you can tell if the vehicle is coming or going.
