  1. Concealed Carry???
  2. Snub Nose Tank?
  3. 4 Women pose for a picture in Maryland in 1950. They were showing off the weapons they used to round up 4 men who had been terrorizing the neighborhood for 3 weeks. They shot at the men, chased them down, forced them to surrender, and then waited for the police to arrive.
  4. Hard to pick just one. I like my 10-22 Takedown, I swapped out the stock for a thumbhole stock by Hogue and added a red dot. But I agree with the others there are lots of great .22 rifles to choose from and once you get started you may find yourself owning a few. I have 7 or so (there may be another one or two I'm forgetting) rifles and probably near that many .22 handguns. I had my Ruger American bolt out earlier this week, I put a scope on it and it does a nice job ringing the steel. It takes the same magazines as the 10-22. If I could only pick one it would probably be my Marlin 39a levry but that is considerably more expensive and if you're just getting started save that for after your hooked. I have been thinking about adding a Marlin 60, just because they're cheap, a lot of fun and very accurate for the price. Lot to be said for a tube feed, no extra cost in magazines.
  5. Russian Snipers WWII
  6. I agree about 2nd Harvest but the groups downstream from them are in need also. Our local down stream is JAMA, the Jonesborough Area Ministerial Association, it is the local food pantry but they have increased their hours and opened their doors to all of Washington county. Their food donations from local groceries have dropped way off and so has individual food donations so they have had to buy more food from 2nd Harvest and other sources.
  7. Not sure what is going on but it looks like they are having a good time.
  8. Good choices for your first two guns. My first 12g was a Maverick. If you didn't already buy it with an 18" or 20" barrel you may want to consider it for home defense for easier maneuvering. I bought mine with an 18" then bought a long barrel for clay shooting. Both Maverick and Mossberg 500 barrels are interchangeable so used barrels can be found. Easy to switch back and forth.
  9. Always go with a large caliber if you can handle it.
  10. Welcome What 9mm and shotgun did you get?
  11. The neighbor girl across the road from us at our old place, same age as our son, after several different career paths ended up as a deputy sheriff. She posted this the other day and I decided all you all would appreciate it.
  12. Other than a doctors appointment (skin cancer removal) a couple of weeks ago, it has been over 3 weeks since I have been inside any building or walking around any place but our property. I have done some curbside pickups of groceries and takeout and today at TN Hills Distillery. Realized we were getting dangerously low on our favorite rums from our local distillery, the only hard liquor we keep in the house, and called in an order an the owner carried it out and reached through the passenger window and put the box on the seat. We are good now for a few weeks then we will probably do another parking lot pickup at Krogers.
