  1. Never had a Savage in my hands so this is not a comparison. I fell in love with the Ruger American the first time I held one, it felt right. I would have loved to bought it on the spot but was out of state at the time. When I went back home I went to my local gun store and they had one for $50 more than the out of state shop. I mentioned that to the dealer and he sharpened his pencil and came down $40 and I took it home. Mine is the original American and I have added a scope. It shoots better than me.

  4. Wonder what is going on here.
  5. Any one have a gun that shoots .219?
  6. A friend has an older 9.5" that was his Father-Inlaw's. Been getting the urge for one of those beasts. I always gave him a hard time that the reason he was a better shot than me was his barrel was closer to the target. Do they show up often? I see they are still made but would rather have a more vintage version if I can find one. My friend made a real nice holster for his, if I find one I will try to talk him into making one for me.
  7. It does take some time to get use to living in a free state.
  8. Wanted Dead or Alive 1958-1961 Been re-watching these shows, he sure could handle that Mare’s Leg. Still tempted to buy one from time to time.
  9. An I thought the lever gun was the interesting part of the image, who would have thunk it.

  11. Several mentioned air rifles and it reminded me of a someone on a different forum say he used Aguila 22 LR 20 Gr Colibri Quiets. The fellow said where he hunted squirrels there was often several on the ground under nut trees at the same time. The Quiets were so silent that he could kill several before they noticed their friends were falling over. I have shot them a few times and in a rifle I could hear the hammer hit and the bullet hitting the target. They will not cycle a semi and they have a lot of drop to compensate for but they are fun. People have warned about squibs but I haven't had any problems. Very similar to CB caps.
  12. Oops!!!
