  1. I bought a Homelite Super EZ 16 mid/late 70s. Cut many cords of wood, as I heated with wood as my primary heat source till about 10 years ago. I backed off to about 30% of my heat then and 5 years ago stopped completely when we move to TN. I finally replaced mine when the ignition module died and gave it to a friend that had the identical saw and he fixed it and uses it as his backup. Had what I think was an XL as my backup saw but it had the same fate. I bought a Husqvarna and could not believe the improvements in technology over the 30+ years. with all the shock mounts and such it is a lot easier on the hands and arms and chain adjustments requires no tools. Of course soon after that is when I started phasing out my wood cutting. Homelite made a great chain saw.
  2. Hopefully the threat that was also by the box of an upto $10,000 fine and 10 years in prison will slow down those that think they can get away with it.
  3. I use an app called CCW and I just did a data update and as of their latest data, only Nebraska is called out as Enhanced only. But info only as good as data so...
  4. Stimulus checks are still coming. I just got one for my Mother forwarded to me. She died last August. I was hoping that they had figured out that they didn't need to send one. At least they know their system is broke, there is a box on the front to check that says drop back in mail after checking if deceased.
  5. No I don't want a drink

  7. Custom in the German military at the time, the tallest and shortest men in a battalion were put together in juxtaposition and photographed.
  8. I used whatever cheap spray paint I could fine for years and then I ran across target paint. It has a higher pigment content than normal spray paint so covers with less spraying. It is a bit pricey but I like it. https://www.rangestore.net/collections/paints
  9. Trench mortar, used in British trenches by soldier of Worcestershire Regiment, World War I
  10. Just be warned steel is addictive. I started with 3. I now have over 20 of assorted sizes, not counting a shooting tree that I bring out from time to time. I have a couple of more spots picked out for a few more but haven't decided what yet. I have mine color coded since heavy targets don't ring as well with lower velocity ammo. I have red ones for .22 and airguns, yellow for pistols and carbines and lower velocity and green for most anything I own. There is a steel above AR500 that has the same abilities as AR500 but thinner. A bit more expensive but I have replaced some of my green targets to get better reaction when I hit them with less powerful rounds. I'll be 72 in a few weeks and more than one thing that I have bought in the last couple of years I have thought that will be the last time I will need to buy one of those.
  11. It helps to recognize that the car is a big american make, which narrows the possibilities. You're right the two ornaments are very similar in a low resolution photo. Never really thought about it before.
  12. Just an old car guy that recognized what it was. If you do an image search for around a 1928-32 Lincoln ornament you will see the sleek Greyhound. I spend about as much time on old car forums as gun forums.
  13. Looks like some really hot rods around it.
  14. Looks like a good one for a caption.
  15. It is a greyhound. It is a Lincoln.
