  5. I use to push the button for a Sport Clay competition a coupe of times a year at my old club. There were several shooters that I enjoyed watching, 2 used .410. One was a woman and the other a teenager, both could hang with the best of the 12g shooters. They made it looks so easy.
  6. I have used several approaches to Kudzu Control. The big stuff back in the woods I just cut off, some as big as 2" in diameter going up into the top of the trees. One hill side that was pretty clear of trees but solid Kudzu I spread some old tarps over and weighted them down and let the Kudzu bake for a couple of years with no sun and it looked like it worked then I decided to extend a flat area and dumped 5 very large dump trucks of shale on it, that seemed to work so far. Areas I can mow works till I stop mowing. I found the Coop generic brand of Trycera herbicide works well keeping it from spreading, same stuff the power company uses but I dilute more than they do. I tried to get a local goat farm to put a few goats in one area but since it had water running through it, he was afraid they would drown themselves. I paid a guy for 40+ hours of work with an excavator and 9 normal dump truck loads of "clean" fill to make that area so I could mow it once a month and get to another area to spray. To get back to clover I think the nitrogen rich fertilizer and more grass seed is probably the best bet. Since clover puts nitrogen in the ground and cause the grass to grow then gets crowded out till the grass needs more nitrogen, if the nitrogen was supplied by fertilizer the grass should keep growing and crowding other things out. If you are not fussy what kind of grass is in your yard you might try adding some fast growing variety like rye grass.
  7. I think you are right on the flipping, the buttons are on the wrong side for a normal woman's shirt/dress.
  8. I like clover and find it somewhat amusing how hard people work to get rid of it. What I have been fighting for 6 years now is Kudzu. Now there is enemy worth fighting. I have it beaten back to only a small amount in a few area from covering several acres. I think it would have grow over my driveway if I would have been gone for a couple of months the first summer we were here. I have been told you can't beat it, only control it. Sounds like clover shares that attribute. The other thing in common is it will come back if you don't keep after and it spreads from adjacent areas. I was told that our road had no Kudzu till the town talked one fellow into accepting some fill dirt they wanted to get rid of. Unfortunately that area is adjacent to my property. I have a like thinking new neighbors that bought 4 acres beside my place and is trying to control Kudzu in the 2 acres beside my place currently and would like to get rid of it on the other half. Unfortunately the other side of me is a riven that the that owner doesn't care one way or the other but I don't have a strong enough sprayer to control it to far down into the area (I upgraded my sprayer last year and I can get out about 40' now). I'm convinced if I stopped control for a few years it would be back pretty much as bad as when I started. I will do my first spraying in the next couple of weeks.

  10. Guess you already knew about them. Thanks for the pointer. A friend really wants Maverick 88 in 20g, so his wife could handle it, but they seemed to be unobtainable in the present market so I think he will end up with on in 12g. I told him about the mini shells as an option so he may be in the market for a opsol mini clip.

  13. I can point to it, but there is an adapter that make the Maverick and 500 feed the mini shells. It is easy to install and fairly cheap. As I recall you have to take it out to feed full size shells.
  14. So are you just visiting to talk guns or moving to the great state of TN?
