  1. I would start with .22 just so you can afford to shoot it a lot. Then if you get hooked you can start adding more. I currently have 4 Marlins and 1 Henry. I started with a .410 that was a gift when I was 13. I then inherited a .22. I added a .357 to go with a revolver I had and so I could shoot the cheaper .38s in it. Then I added a 30-30 just because I wanted something bigger for no real good reason. My latest add was the Henry in a .22 Mares Leg just for fun.
  2. Colt Peacemaker???
  3. We stopped eating margarine years ago when a friend did an experiment to prove to his wife that margarine wasn't good for you. He left a big gob of margarine on a piece of cardboard in his barn and after a couple of weeks it was still there and no signs anything touched it, not even bugs. Even mice knew it was poison. That doesn't prove butter is good for you just margarine isn't.

  6. Agree with most of what has been mentioned already. I have bought a few items on TGO, some at asking price and some with a private offer. When you say "firm" that means no offers. The distance can be taken care of by offering to ship at cost of shipping. Long guns do not have to be shipped to an FFL if seller and buyer are both in TN. One seller wasn't comfortable shipping direct to me and cut the price by what the FFL would cost me but that is all negotiable. I happen to like the two Kel-Tec's I have, but most KT tend to be specialty guns so they have a smaller market.

  8. Not quite the same thing but in WW-2 Hawaii printed HAWAII on the back of all the US money on the islands and destroyed the non marked money so if Japan captured the island the currency could be voided. I had a one dollar bill that was in very wrinkled condition and sold it with other coins and bills at a coin auction partially because I knew my Dad had a very nice one in his collection that I would eventually inherit. The one dollar bill brought over $100 at auction. When I inherited my Dad's collection his was gone, he apparently sold it along the way. Oh well not really into collecting coins or currency anyway.

  17. Well my few days turned into almost 2 weeks. Bad logic board, they had to order one, managed to wipe my drive then they installed an old operating system. So I finally have everything restored and almost back to normal. So now that I have my photos back online I will start again.
  18. Taking a few days off (hopfullly only) My primary laptop currently will not start up and all my photos are on it. I have everything backed up but hope I don’t have to move it to a different computer. Currently trying to make an iPad work for my needs till I can get lap top fixed.
