My Father was a tech sergeant, was at a lot of the famous battles but a day or so later to setup infrastructure. He was an amature photogapher and took hundreds of photos but very few while in Europe, most were when he was in England or in boot camp before shipping over. Growing up and seeing some of these photos and seeing a miniature Minox camera he owned I was sure he must have been a spy in the war.

CCW Time from Application to Receipt
Jeb48 replied to stRay's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I waited about 7 months in NY. Got my TN 5 years ago in 10 days. Process in TN was much more complete in making sure I at least knew how to handle a handgun and shoot it, not that it was that great, but NY had none, just bureaucracy and stalling, not even basic laws of the state. I would highly recommend getting further handgun training if you're new to shooting. I took two NRA handgun courses, basic handgun and a self defence course and the were excellent starting points. -

A New York attorney, representing a very wealthy art collector, called and asked to speak to his client. "Paul, I have some good news and I have some bad news." The art collector replied, "You know, I've had an awful day, Jack, so let's hear the good news first." The lawyer said, "Well, I met with your wife today, and she informed me that she has invested only $5,000 in two very nice pictures that she thinks will bring somewhere between $15 and $20 million; and, I think she could be right." Paul replied enthusiastically, "Holy cow !! Well done !! My wife is a brilliant business woman, isn't she? You've just made my day. Now, I know I can handle the bad news. What is it?" The lawyer replied, "The pictures are of you and your secretary.”

My big safe had a pop out plug in the back to run a cord through then you put the plug on after it is through so the hole is small and low in the back. I have a Golden Rod dehumidifier in mine and put a gauge inside to keep an eye on it and it stays between 42-45% in my drive in basement. My small safe is a Winchester, about 100lbs not fireproof, from Tractor Supply, that is in our walk in closet. Both are bolted to the walls/floor. The small safe has one of those rechargeable dehumidifiers.

Picked up a gun at my FFL yesterday and the approval took less time than filling out the form. When he said I was all ok I just stood there because I thought he was talking about his part of typing in everything. A minute later he said anything else I can do for you. Then I realized what he said the first time. I was still putting the pistol back in it's case.
