    Home Range

After using cheap sale and flea market paint I started buying my target paint from https://www.rangestore.net. Target Paint has a higher percentage of pigment and covers faster. It cost more but covers faster, so goes further. Several of my heavy use targets was getting ruts under them from deflected bullets. I tried mulch but it turns to dust fairly fast. I then found rubber mulch and it holds up well, just rake them back in place once in awhile.

    Home Range

I have a small range. I shoot off my back deck out to about 30 yards into a hill side. If I set up a portable shooting table I can extend to 60 yards, but I checked it out the other day and some trees need some trimming for 60 yards since it was last used. My close target is 10 yards. I have an assortment of steel in different thicknesses That I color code when I paint them. Red for .22 only, Yellow for hand guns and carbine, Green for most anything within reason considering the distance. By doing a mix I could put up a lot more .22 steel for the money, and more reactive. I have a couple of places that I can hang paper when I need to sight in a gun.

  11. No it was an open match, no Boy Scouts were there accept to service breakfast. The Boy Scout Council decide they need to make better use of their facility and help pay for the place, so more shooting events was one of the directions they are going. Very nice place and built for large groups obviously.
  12. Went as an observer today to a shooting match at the Davy Crockett Boy Scout camp. My My first time watching something like this. Was interesting, could be fun. Didn't know if any TGO members were participants. With ammo prices so high right now not sure I want to get to involved but maybe. They have matches the last Saturday of every month and from the sound of it will be putting in a much larger facility over the next 2 years.

  15. I bought a similar quality .22 but a semi auto, from my sister inlaw that was in her husbands family and no one wanted it. When I bought it I didn't realize how cheap it was. After reading about it and having it slam fire when chambering I wrote a description of it's history and gave a description about how it should not be used and why it wasn't safe. I put the pistol and note in a ziplock bag and stuck it in a back corner of my gun safe for my son to worry about someday. I would suggest a similar note to go with your revolver.

  17. My wife forwarded me the recall from some FaceBook page she saw earlier this evening. Luckily they put a date on when the batch when out and saved digging through the reserve. Last Whitebox or any other ammo I bought was when Walmart was blowing it out when they decided no to sell hand gun ammo anymore.
