If you were a cop, and you knew that admitting to a negligent discharge would result in a suspension or loss of your job, wouldn't you blame that lousy gun and/or the administration that forced you to carry it?

P365 for sure. Cheers, Whisper

Sold. Thanks for looking, Whisper

The AARP started as a marketing device for selling insurance to old people. Today it still sells insurance, but it also is a large lobbying organization that, while officially nonpartisan, spends tens of millions of dollars each year lobbying for programs espoused by the Democratic Party. And of course, more gun control is one of those programs. Cheers, Whisper

As Luckyforward has already suggested, there's a vast difference between being "thought to be mentally ill in any fashion" and being "adjudicated" to have mental problems. I don't think any of us expect mental health workers to guarantee that someone will be free of any kind of disorders, but I do believe that someone who has been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution should have a thorough mental evaluation before being allowed to purchase a firearm, even if such an evaluation is expensive and time-consuming.

We've seen a ton of them this year on Elder Mountain (Chattanooga). There's one on the bird feeder even as I write this. Beautiful birds, but you don't see them except for a few weeks as they are passing through. Cheers, Whisper

Welcome. Enjoy TGO. I'm also a member at Montlake. It's a fine range. Haven't shot any matches there but I am practicing a lot after being out of commission for a few months as a result of surgery. Cheers, Whisper

wanted Semi-auto 12ga for casual sporting clays
Whisper replied to Fencersms's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Earlier Winchester SX models (SX, SX2, SX3) are pretty affordable these days. And the good old Browning Automatic 5 is still a clay-killing machine. Cheers Whisper -

I'll bump this again. Don't you want it to come live with you? Thanks for looking, Whisper -
I've not fired the G20 or the M&P 10mm, so I can't compare. But like I said, I consider the XTen to be remarkably soft shooting. Maybe there's a local gun store/range that would let you test them? Outpost Armory and On Target Shooting Sports in Murfreesboro are probably good prospects. Cheers, Whisper

Phil Williams TFA/John Harris Hit Piece
Whisper replied to Defender's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I learned years ago that if it’s a Phil Williams piece, at least a portion of it will be made up. -

Man, this will likely go fast. Wish I had time for a quick run to Knoxville. Cheers, Whisper -
I have one. It's a remarkably soft-shooting 10mm, and a much better gun than my previous two 10mms (Colt Delta Elite and AMT Javelina), both of which I sold years ago. I've read that there are some factory 10mm rounds that are a tiny bit too long to fit into the magazines, but I've not experienced that myself, and it may have been an early production issue. I like mine a lot. Happy to answer any specific questions you might have. Cheers, Whisper

They need 60 votes, so they'll need 8 traitors to reach that mark. Four won't do it.

Treaties are voted on in the Senate. They require a 2/3 majority approval.

Then you haven't read them very much. Daily Mail - Media Bias/Fact Check (mediabiasfactcheck.com) Here's one of their classics: "Woman, 63, 'becomes PREGNANT in the mouth' with baby squid after eating calamari" But it's a free country, and you get to believe what you want to believe. As a follow-up, I found the Daily Mail story, which did indeed come out today. But the Daily Mail is pretty much like the National Enquirer, in that they make a up a lot of stories, and not just on April Fool's Day. Coca-Cola makes cocaine in this secret New Jersey factory | Daily Mail Online

We believe you; it's just that this story didn't break today. It's been reported often over the years; do a quick search and you'll find many stories dating way back. Also suspicious in your first post was the mention of the DEA; Coca-Cola products are regulated by the FDA, so that was a red flag for fake news.

I started typing a response to this and then I noticed today's date. You almost got me. Whisper

I've done many gun deals, with folks from TGO and elsewhere, with no problems. Some tips: Check the reputation of the buyer, be extremely cautious if the other party arrives with someone else, meet to do the transaction in the parking lot of a police station or a gun store. In case there's a problem, gun store parking lots have good potential witnesses who are likely to be armed. Be safe, Whisper

You absolutely can. I have one in my range bag right this very instant. Cheers, Whisper

Just a bit too far away, unless you'd like to bring it with you and come see Rock City. Cheers, Whisper
