  1. Oh, my. I will officially begin my search for one of these. Thanks for posting this video. Cheers, Whisper
  2. I've been reading more about these guns, although so far there doesn't seem to be a lot of reliable info available. And some of it is contradictory -- for example, whether the barrels are stainless or 4140. Sources disagree. From looking at the photos, it appears that there's not a pin in the trigger, which encourages me to think that perhaps they've done away with the magazine safety. Maybe we should note in this thread any sightings of these guns at TN gun stores? I will probably get either the L9A1 or the case-hardened model, if -- as I mentioned before -- it's real case hardening. Cheers, Whisper
  3. Agreed. If she's a grabber, that's a reliable presentation of her world view. Why Did it Have to be ... Guns?, L. Neil Smith of The Libertarian Enterprise (survivalblog.com) When people show you that they're your enemy, believe it. Cheers, Whisper
  4. If that's real color case hardening, and not some chemical bath like the early Rugers, then I'm probably going to have to buy one of those guns. Thanks, Whisper
  5. Action Target has free shipping on everything until July 7. Several places can match Action's prices on some targets, but I saved $35 on shipping on a bunch of IDPA targets.
  6. SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS Here's one that doesn't come along often -- a S&W Model 629 no-dash, .44 Magnum, 4-inch barrel, with WO rear sight and RR front, smooth combat trigger. Only a few of these were made in 1980 and 1981 before the 629-1 came out and the pinned barrel and recessed chambers were eliminated. The gun is in very good condition. Wooden grips are S&W but not serialized and I do not believe are original to the gun. No box. Because of this, I'm letting it go for $1300 to a TN resident legally able to purchase handguns. More photos available on request. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  7. OK, I've done a little bit of looking on her. She was one of those calling on Gov. Lee to hold his laughable "special session" on gun violence in 2022. Here's a fine quote from her: "It shouldn't require more education and licensure to drive a vehicle that was designed for transportation than to get a gun that was designed for the sole purpose of killing." And this: "We've reached a place where nowhere is safe." More info here -- Nashville Councilmember Courtney Johnston wants special session on guns - Axios Nashville She wouldn't be getting my vote, unless her only opponent was Hillary Clinton. Cheers, Whisper
  8. "I support the Second Amendment, but"... is usually code for "I'm a grabber." But I admit I know nothing about her.
  9. This and a 3.5-inch S&W Model 27-2 are my dream guns. Too bad I'm unlikely ever to be able to afford them. Good luck finding a nice loving home for this wonderful gun. Cheers, Whisper
  10. Yes. If it's like some gun shows, there will be a mosh pit of buyers and sellers near the entrance.
  11. There's a show at Camp Jordan in Chattanooga next weekend, June 29-30. Cheers, Whisper
  12. Hmm. 50-gr bullets in the 9mm. I know nothing about this company, but I'd want to see some testing. I also don't think carrying 147-gr bullets in your magazine all day instead of 50-gr will be the physical chore that Lenny seems to think it is. Cheers, Whisper
  13. This might do better in the Classified section, as a "wanted to buy" ad. I'm a little surprised moderators haven't moved this there already. Good luck finding that PX4. I know some folks love them. Cheers, Whisper
  14. Didn't know about this either. Looks like they did one good thing this session.
  15. HoosierDaddy seems like a wise man. I could probably even afford a modest discount for someone who buys both.
  16. SOLD Looking for a new home -- Winchester White Box 5.56 ammo, 25 boxes of 20 rounds each. That's 500 rounds for $150, or 30 cents a round, which for American-made brass case ammo isn't an easy price to match. I live in Chattanooga and would prefer a local sale. If you don't live here, maybe you'd like to come visit and buy some ammo and see Rock City? Thanks for looking, Whisper
  17. TRADED More Russki ammo for sale: One unopened case of Wolf Military Classic 7.62x39mm ammo, 124gr FMJ. A good deal at $425. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance to meet a buyer. Buy other things I have in the classifieds here and I'll drive even farther. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  18. TRADED We can't import Russian ammo any more, but I have some for you: Two still-sealed 1,000-round cases of Russian Vympel 7.62x39mm ammo, 124gr. FMJ. $425 per case, or if someone wants both cases, I'll sell them together for $825. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. Or, buy this ammo and one or more of the guns that I have listed in the Firearms section, and I'll drive even farther. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  19. SOLD Still thinning the collection: S&W M&P9 Metal 2.0 for sale -- this is the all-metal version of the trusty M&P semiauto. Comes with two magazines, box, all grip adapters, optic mounting plates. Excellent condition. This one comes with the outstanding Holosun Solar Charging Sight, a green-dot sight specifically made for the M&P. It fits directly to the slide without need for a mounting plate and the original sights can still be used with the optic. It's a great system; I'm only selling it because the sight won't fit any gun other than the M&P. Holosun makes a similar version for the HK VP9 and I have it on one of mine. The gun and the optic are for sale at $750 to any resident of Tennessee legally able to purchase handguns. I have the exact twin of this pistol also for sale in the classifieds, with the only difference being that it does not come with a Holosun. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. More photos available if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  20. SOLD Still thinning the collection: S&W M&P9 Metal 2.0 for sale -- this is the all-metal version of the trusty M&P semiauto. Comes with two magazines, box, all grip adapters, optic mounting plates. Excellent condition. A great deal at $600, available to any resident of Tennessee legally able to purchase handguns I have the exact twin of this pistol also for sale in the classifieds, with the only difference being that it comes with the Holosun SCS green dot sight. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. More photos available if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  21. SOLD Excellent condition S&W Shield .45 needs a new loving home. This one comes with original box and one each 6-round (flush fit) and 7-round (extended basepad) magazines. This is my personal favorite compact .45; only reason I'm selling is it's a duplicate and I'm thinning the collection. A real deal at $325 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. I live in Chattanooga but will travel a reasonable distance for a sale. More photos available if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  22. M&P 22 is a great choice; a shooting school where I worked used them to introduce new shooters to live fire. It's also a great "understudy" gun if you used the M&P 9mm as a carry weapon. Cheers, Whisper
