  1. SOLD I tried selling this last summer and didn't get any serious interest, so I'm trying again. German-made SIG P220 .45 ACP, good condition with two OEM stainless 7-round magazines, two OEM stainless 10-round magazines, and one no-name 10-round magazine. This gun had Hogue rubber grips on it when it came to me, but I put Hogue G10 grips on it (you still get the rubber ones, too). Also comes with a nice SIG-branded padded nylon carrying case. KF date code makes this a 1995 gun. Night sights are long dead, of course, but could be replaced. I just painted the front sight orange and have kept shooting it. $700 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. Sorry, no trades this time. I live in Chattanooga and can drive a reasonable distance for a sale. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  2. AD CLOSED; GUN HAS A NEW LOVING HOME I need to find a loving home for this SIG P210 Standard; the US-made version of the original P210. This has fixed sights and a reasonable-size grip, unlike the P210 Target, which adjustable sights and what I (and many others) consider an overly large target grip. This gun handles extremely well and is a great shooter. I'm the original owner of this gun and it's been shot less than 200 times. Comes with four OEM SIG magazines. As you can see, it's unblemished and in outstanding condition. $1200 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. Trade possibilities: I'm looking for a Springfield EMP or other Commander-length (4 to 4.25 inches) 1911 9mm, also a Rem 870 in 12 or 20 gauge. Other possibilities considered, but no plastic guns or ARs (I have enough already). Thanks for looking, Whisper
  3. He was a long-time NRA member. He mentioned it in his 1993 and 2004 biographies. Cheers, Whisper
  4. It just told me that it wants to go live at your house. Cheers, Whisper
  5. GUN IS SOLD. German-made SIG P228 9mm, two-tone with electroless nickel slide and fire controls and with black anodized frame. KF stamp on slide indicates 1995 manufacture. This is the best condition SIG I've ever owned; it's immaculate. Not surprising for its age, the Trijicon night sights (also dated 1995) are dead. But the gun is perfect otherwise. Gun comes with two original SIG 10-round magazines (1995 was during the years of the Klinton Crime Bill), but there are also four new-in-the-wrapper MecGar 15-round magazines. Comes in original Sig box with unused trigger lock, but the manual has been lost. $750 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. For trades, I'm looking for a P220 with no rail, and a P239 9mm. Also a CZ P01 or SP01. Might consider others as well; let me know what you have. Don't need any Glocks or ARs. I'm located in Chattanooga; will drive a reasonable distance for a deal. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  6. Nice work, DTJC45. Please let us know how it runs. Cheers, Whisper
  7. Shooters Supply in Hixson, Montlake Freedom Works in Red Bank. Both have interesting used guns, including milsurp. Anthony's Armory, also in Red Bank, usually has some interesting consignment items but they're seldom open on Saturdays. Cheers, Whisper
  8. Yeah, same here. For a gun that expensive to be non-functional right out of the box, and the manufacturer not to have someone standing by to fix it the minute it gets back into the shop, is inexcusable. All manufactured products can have problems, but when you pay a premium price, you should get corresponding levels of service. Six to eight weeks ain't it. Cheers, Whisper
  9. Man, I have no use for it, but I'd still dearly love to have that FN. Cheers, Whisper
  10. Six to eight weeks? And that passes for customer service? Are they that swamped with returns of defective guns? Making a note to myself re future gun purchases.... Hope things work out for you, Whisper
  11. An awful lot is written and said about the accuracy of the Carcano, but almost all of it comes from people who know nothing. Here's an interesting article that I just came across this morning: Army Veteran Analyzes the Infamous Rifle That Ended JFK's Life | SOFREP (Short summary -- a trained rifleman could make this shot repeatedly.) Cheers, Whisper
  12. As a great appreciator of fine cookies, I lament his passing. Cheers, Whisper
  13. Nice gun. I'm not recognizing the device that's on the buffer tube. It's a stock, and not a brace, right? So this is an SBR and not a pistol? Just wanting to make sure.
  14. Which variant? How many magazines? Do you have the box? Thanks, Whisper
  15. I've replied to all PMs. Bump for the new week. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  16. Doesn't look like there's a market for these here, so I'll consign them. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  17. Too bad Scott DesJarlais didn't lose, too. Thomas Davis would have been an improvement.
  18. A thread back from the dead after 13 years. Is that a record? Maybe an administrator knows? Cheers, Whisper
  19. I used to have one of these. Wish I had it back. A wonderful gun.
  20. Man, those are wonderful bikes. What fun it would be to have one again....
  21. I'm reading impressive things about this gun, some from sources I respect. I'm eager to see one in real life. Cheers, Whisper
  22. I wonder if a folding-barrel AR is that much shorter than a folding-stock AR. Not a collapsible stock, but a true side-folder. It would be interesting to see some dimensions.
  23. The article is great. It provides a handy list of our enemies. I hope everyone reads this and votes accordingly. Cheers, Whisper
  24. Lots of Russian disinformation showing up on social media, too. Be careful what you read and recirculate. Social media is a cesspool of lying in the best days, and these aren't the best days. Cheers, Whisper
