  1. HoosierDaddy seems like a wise man. I could probably even afford a modest discount for someone who buys both.
  2. SOLD Looking for a new home -- Winchester White Box 5.56 ammo, 25 boxes of 20 rounds each. That's 500 rounds for $150, or 30 cents a round, which for American-made brass case ammo isn't an easy price to match. I live in Chattanooga and would prefer a local sale. If you don't live here, maybe you'd like to come visit and buy some ammo and see Rock City? Thanks for looking, Whisper
  3. TRADED More Russki ammo for sale: One unopened case of Wolf Military Classic 7.62x39mm ammo, 124gr FMJ. A good deal at $425. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance to meet a buyer. Buy other things I have in the classifieds here and I'll drive even farther. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  4. TRADED We can't import Russian ammo any more, but I have some for you: Two still-sealed 1,000-round cases of Russian Vympel 7.62x39mm ammo, 124gr. FMJ. $425 per case, or if someone wants both cases, I'll sell them together for $825. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. Or, buy this ammo and one or more of the guns that I have listed in the Firearms section, and I'll drive even farther. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  5. SOLD Still thinning the collection: S&W M&P9 Metal 2.0 for sale -- this is the all-metal version of the trusty M&P semiauto. Comes with two magazines, box, all grip adapters, optic mounting plates. Excellent condition. This one comes with the outstanding Holosun Solar Charging Sight, a green-dot sight specifically made for the M&P. It fits directly to the slide without need for a mounting plate and the original sights can still be used with the optic. It's a great system; I'm only selling it because the sight won't fit any gun other than the M&P. Holosun makes a similar version for the HK VP9 and I have it on one of mine. The gun and the optic are for sale at $750 to any resident of Tennessee legally able to purchase handguns. I have the exact twin of this pistol also for sale in the classifieds, with the only difference being that it does not come with a Holosun. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. More photos available if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  6. SOLD Still thinning the collection: S&W M&P9 Metal 2.0 for sale -- this is the all-metal version of the trusty M&P semiauto. Comes with two magazines, box, all grip adapters, optic mounting plates. Excellent condition. A great deal at $600, available to any resident of Tennessee legally able to purchase handguns I have the exact twin of this pistol also for sale in the classifieds, with the only difference being that it comes with the Holosun SCS green dot sight. I live in Chattanooga but will drive a reasonable distance for a sale. More photos available if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  7. SOLD Excellent condition S&W Shield .45 needs a new loving home. This one comes with original box and one each 6-round (flush fit) and 7-round (extended basepad) magazines. This is my personal favorite compact .45; only reason I'm selling is it's a duplicate and I'm thinning the collection. A real deal at $325 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. I live in Chattanooga but will travel a reasonable distance for a sale. More photos available if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  8. M&P 22 is a great choice; a shooting school where I worked used them to introduce new shooters to live fire. It's also a great "understudy" gun if you used the M&P 9mm as a carry weapon. Cheers, Whisper
  9. OK, I've seen your ad before but just recently got interested in the USC, so now I'm considering this. Trade possibilities I have: Springfield SA-35 9mm -- clone of Browning Hi-Power, already posted here in the classified ads S&W M&P Metal -- all metal M&P, available with or without Holosun 509T x2 sight HK VP9 9mm, available with or without additional HK longslide, and both slides available with or without Holosun sights And you didn't mention rifles, but I have one of those also: HL SL8-6, new in the box, never fired. Does some combination of those sound interesting to you? I can send photos. Just out of interest -- why are you selling this? Thanks, Whisper
  10. SORRY, IT'S GONE I'm continuing to slim down the collection, and up for a new home now is a Springfield SA-35, like new (fired less than 50 rounds). I've painted the front sight with fluorescent orange paint but aside from that it looks exactly like a brand new one in the store (and if you don't like the fluorescent paint I'll wipe it off with nail polish remover before you take possession). I like this gun fine, and it works well, but I have two Browning HP clones and don't need both. The other one has some sentimental history (a gift from a brother), so this one goes on the block. Like new, comes with everything that came in the box, plus something that didn't come in the box -- a second Springfield 15-round magazine. New guns come with only one mag. $625 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. I live in Chattanooga but can drive a bit for a deal. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  11. If you look online ,you'll see a number of comments about 10mms breaking the mounting screws on dot sights. 10mm recoil is tough on them, Since you've already chosen your sight, you might want to see what aftermarket mounting screws are available for it. Cheers, Whisper
  12. Make your wonderful HK VP9 even happier than it already is -- give it new capabilities with an optics-ready longslide conversion kit. Comes complete with new slide, barrel, recoil spring assembly, and even a set of spare O-rings for the long barrel. High-profile HK sights suitable for optic or suppressor. Made in Germany; slide bears the antler proof mark of the Ulm proof house. This kit is brand new in the box, never fired (although the box does have some handling wear). $300; I'll meet a potential buyer near Chattanooga or, since it's not an actual gun, I can ship anywhere at buyer's expense. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  13. For sale, grip adapters for S&W revolvers. All gone. I live in Chattanooga and will meet buyer locally or will ship at your expense. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  14. I'm sure it would love living at your house.
  15. I've always been partial to "heater." Thanks for looking, Whisper
  16. SOLD Here's a gun that takes a little explaining. The frame is a Colt Police Positive Special in .38 Special, with a serial number of 178xxx, which dates it to 1921. But the Police Positive Special was made only with 4-, 5-, or 6-inch barrels. This gun has a 2-inch barrel stamped "Detective Spec." The Detective Special didn't hit the market until 1927, so apparently a previous owner replaced the original barrel with at Detective Special barrel to make himself a Police Positive Special snubnose. It's been refinished -- maybe when it was rebarreled, because the wear on the frame and barrel don't look much different. But there's nothing for certain about the history of this gun except that the Detective Special barrel wasn't on it when it left the Colt factory. The grips are not original either, so this gun doesn't have any value as a collector's piece...but if you want a tiny Colt 6-shot .38 Special, it will work just fine. $400 to a TN resident legally able to purchase handguns. I live in Chattanooga but can travel a bit if needed. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  17. Tolliver's Pawn Shop in Manchester had one, too, but I guess Knoxville is closer to you.
  18. For a gun as nice as this I'd probably try Ford's Custom Refinishing in Crystal River, FL. Won't be cheap, but guns I've seen from that shop are truly eye-popping. Cheers, Whisper

    Agree.
  20. I'd like for someone from TFA to weigh in on this. I'm a state government retiree who attended legislative session every year I was employed, and I never saw or heard of a GOA rep there. I saw several from the NRA (some were problematic, but they were there). Does the GOA in fact attend our General Assembly meetings?
  21. I don't know that they have mishandled funds. Their Form 990s (essentially their tax return) show that they spend zero money per year on lobbying. The NRA spent $4.92 million on lobbying just in 2021 (latest data available). But GOA doesn't really claim to be a lobbying organization. In 2022, GOA's total expenses were $10,698,495, and 16.2% of ($1,738,156) that went to salaries. Looking up their Form 990s year to year is a tedious task, but you can hit the high points on Pro Publica (Gun Owners Of America Inc - Nonprofit Explorer - ProPublica). Cheers, Whisper
  22. GOA spends most of its money on salaries and, last time I looked, there were lots of family members employed there. Little money actually goes to lobbying. FPC and SAF actually seem to do some things, and I give modestly to them. I've been an NRA Life Member since the 1970s and gave regularly to them until I realized that Wayne and his criminal cronies were looting the store. I am still a member, but I won't give another dime until all the old board members are gone and some new bylaws are put in place to prevent the type of corruption that Wayne established as a general operating principle. I always tell people to give to the state RKBA organization if they have one that's decent. TN and NC are good examples of states with effective freedom lobbies. Cheers, Whisper
  23. Welcome. Seems like we have a good number of members from the Manchester area. Cheers, Whisper
