  1. Too bad Scott DesJarlais didn't lose, too. Thomas Davis would have been an improvement.
  2. A thread back from the dead after 13 years. Is that a record? Maybe an administrator knows? Cheers, Whisper
  3. I used to have one of these. Wish I had it back. A wonderful gun.
  4. Man, those are wonderful bikes. What fun it would be to have one again....
  5. I'm reading impressive things about this gun, some from sources I respect. I'm eager to see one in real life. Cheers, Whisper
  6. I wonder if a folding-barrel AR is that much shorter than a folding-stock AR. Not a collapsible stock, but a true side-folder. It would be interesting to see some dimensions.
  7. The article is great. It provides a handy list of our enemies. I hope everyone reads this and votes accordingly. Cheers, Whisper
  8. Lots of Russian disinformation showing up on social media, too. Be careful what you read and recirculate. Social media is a cesspool of lying in the best days, and these aren't the best days. Cheers, Whisper
  9. SOLD Here's a complete P365 setup, ready to put on and go. You get the P365 (2019 production, so there's still plenty of life left in the tritium) with Wilson Combat grip module. Also you get seven OEM magazines -- two 10-round with flat floorplate, one 10-round with pinky rest floorplate, and four 13-round with extended finger rest floorplate. Comes with original box and all accessories, with one exception: I've somehow lost the original SIG grip module. I decided as soon as I bought the gun that the original grip was too small for my Size L hands, so I replaced it with the excellent Wilson Combat grip module, which is still small but feels more usable to me. I like the Wilson Combat much better, but if you'd prefer the smaller original SIG grip module, I see there's one here in the classified ads for $30. To round out the deal, I'm including a kydex AIWB holster. I'm selling this only because I have a P365XL that gets used often while this one sits in the safe. (The P365XL also has the Wilson Combat grip module. I think it's just great.) Since I don't have the factory grip module, I'll sell this rig for $475 to a TN resident legally able to purchase handguns. I live in Chattanooga but would be willing to drive a reasonable distance for a deal. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  10. Oh, my. I will officially begin my search for one of these. Thanks for posting this video. Cheers, Whisper
  11. I've been reading more about these guns, although so far there doesn't seem to be a lot of reliable info available. And some of it is contradictory -- for example, whether the barrels are stainless or 4140. Sources disagree. From looking at the photos, it appears that there's not a pin in the trigger, which encourages me to think that perhaps they've done away with the magazine safety. Maybe we should note in this thread any sightings of these guns at TN gun stores? I will probably get either the L9A1 or the case-hardened model, if -- as I mentioned before -- it's real case hardening. Cheers, Whisper
  12. Agreed. If she's a grabber, that's a reliable presentation of her world view. Why Did it Have to be ... Guns?, L. Neil Smith of The Libertarian Enterprise (survivalblog.com) When people show you that they're your enemy, believe it. Cheers, Whisper
  13. If that's real color case hardening, and not some chemical bath like the early Rugers, then I'm probably going to have to buy one of those guns. Thanks, Whisper
  14. Action Target has free shipping on everything until July 7. Several places can match Action's prices on some targets, but I saved $35 on shipping on a bunch of IDPA targets.
  15. SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS Here's one that doesn't come along often -- a S&W Model 629 no-dash, .44 Magnum, 4-inch barrel, with WO rear sight and RR front, smooth combat trigger. Only a few of these were made in 1980 and 1981 before the 629-1 came out and the pinned barrel and recessed chambers were eliminated. The gun is in very good condition. Wooden grips are S&W but not serialized and I do not believe are original to the gun. No box. Because of this, I'm letting it go for $1300 to a TN resident legally able to purchase handguns. More photos available on request. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  16. OK, I've done a little bit of looking on her. She was one of those calling on Gov. Lee to hold his laughable "special session" on gun violence in 2022. Here's a fine quote from her: "It shouldn't require more education and licensure to drive a vehicle that was designed for transportation than to get a gun that was designed for the sole purpose of killing." And this: "We've reached a place where nowhere is safe." More info here -- Nashville Councilmember Courtney Johnston wants special session on guns - Axios Nashville She wouldn't be getting my vote, unless her only opponent was Hillary Clinton. Cheers, Whisper
  17. "I support the Second Amendment, but"... is usually code for "I'm a grabber." But I admit I know nothing about her.
  18. This and a 3.5-inch S&W Model 27-2 are my dream guns. Too bad I'm unlikely ever to be able to afford them. Good luck finding a nice loving home for this wonderful gun. Cheers, Whisper
  19. Yes. If it's like some gun shows, there will be a mosh pit of buyers and sellers near the entrance.
  20. There's a show at Camp Jordan in Chattanooga next weekend, June 29-30. Cheers, Whisper
  21. Hmm. 50-gr bullets in the 9mm. I know nothing about this company, but I'd want to see some testing. I also don't think carrying 147-gr bullets in your magazine all day instead of 50-gr will be the physical chore that Lenny seems to think it is. Cheers, Whisper
  22. This might do better in the Classified section, as a "wanted to buy" ad. I'm a little surprised moderators haven't moved this there already. Good luck finding that PX4. I know some folks love them. Cheers, Whisper
  23. Didn't know about this either. Looks like they did one good thing this session.
