Are you talking about the CCI Quiet-22 Segmented HP? I've found those to be highly effective on tree rats, and in a .22 bolt gun they're quieter than my RWS Diana pellet rifle. I've never tried the ammo in a semiauto but it does seem to burn dirty so I guess it's not surprising if it wouldn't cycle reliably after a while. Hope the cleaning helps.

I agree totally with all of this. Cheers, Whisper

You apparently weren't paying attention to the right polls. The high-quality polls during the last week all said it was too close to call; Nate Silver, probably the best pollster we have now, said it was within the mathematical margin of error, but his gut feeling was Trump would win. Trump got 50.5% of the popular vote. Harris and Biden both gave calm, reasonable, and gracious concession speeches. (If Biden had spoken that well at the debate with Trump, he would have been the party's nominee.) They accepted their loss like adults and agreed to cooperate in the transition. What would you have preferred for them to say?
  4. I see much good stuff about that SFAR, and I've been impressed with ones I've handled at the gun store. But I already have too many guns that I hardly ever shoot, and I probably don't need more. Probably. Maybe. Gee, what do these cost nowadays.... Whisper
  5. He died of cancer in 2008. His last film appearance was a small role in Scarface in 1983.
  6. Carrying concealed gives one a tactical advantage if a problem requiring use of your gun comes up. If it's important to you to give up that tactical advantage, then go ahead. Just remember that none of the nationally prominent firearms trainers recommend open carry. That could be considered a clue. Cheers, Whisper
  7. I hope this class gets back on the schedule soon. I'd love to take it; just can't do it this weekend. Looking forward to reading an after-class report.
  8. Still available. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  9. I see there's a show in Sweetwater this weekend, at the NG Armory. Never been to a show in Sweetwater. Are they usually any good? Thanks, Whisper
  10. I'm in Chattanooga. If you ever think about traveling south to See Rock City or something like that, I'd like to have that 7.5 Swiss. Cheers, Whisper
  11. I love Leupold scopes, but those little Redfields are pretty near indestructible. I have one I bought in 1968, when I was in the seventh grade, for my first deer hunt. Still using it today.
  12. Well...I just don't know what to say. At least we're entertained, Whisper
  13. Thanks for trying to help, AdamB. I don't think he's paying any attention to you. My texts remain unanswered. Well, there's a gun show in Chattanooga this weekend so maybe I'll see one there.
  14. I sent you a text Saturday. Just resent it again. Cheers, Whisper
  15. You only live once, at least as far as we know. If it's not right, get rid of it and get something that is. You deserve it. Cheers, Whisper
  16. Still no response to my text, so I'll try this once more. If you don't want to sell/trade gun, maybe close ad? Thanks, Whisper
  17. Maybe -- just speculating here -- it's because Tennesseans in general are smarter than Floridians. Cheers, Whisper
  18. Sent you a text Saturday morning. Still interested if gun remains available. Whisper
  19. Warrig, I'm certainly willing to discuss. Message sent.
  20. Glad you appreciated it. Cheers, Whisper
  21. You need to attend a class at Citizens Safety Academy in Murfreesboro. Aqil Qadir and Tiffany Johnson are some of the best people in the industry, not just in TN, but nationally. EHCP requires no maintenance other than renewal every three years, and it doesn't affect your driver's license. Getting the permit so you can carry in other states is an excellent reason to have one. Cheers, Whisper
  22. GUN IS SOLD Continuing to reduce the collection. Here's a fine little SIG P365XL with a ton of extras: original grip module, two Wilson Combat grip modules (one black, one olive), original box with manual, plus 10 magazines -- six 12-rounds, two 15-rounds, and two 17-rounds. Also has Holosun 507KX2 red dot sight, plus original open sights. $650 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. Check the going price of SIG magazines and you'll see that this deal is hotter than a Hezbollah pocket pager. Sorry, no trades this time. I live in Chattanooga and will travel a reasonable distance for a deal. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  23. AD CLOSED, THANKS FOR LOOKING The guns are all sold; here's last of my HK items for sale: HK VP9 longslide conversion kit, complete with slide, barrel, recoil spring assembly; HK high-profile sights with luminous dot on front sight; BK date code indicates 2019 mfg; Ulm proof marks. Gun also has Holosun 508T green dot sight; slide was milled for the sight by J&L Machining (direct mount; no plates ). In addition, slide comes with one HK 15-round magazine and one HK 20-round magazine. $450, and since this isn't a firearm, I can ship at buyer's expense. Or I can meet in Chattanooga or a reasonable distance away. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  24. SOLD I tried selling this last summer and didn't get any serious interest, so I'm trying again. German-made SIG P220 .45 ACP, good condition with two OEM stainless 7-round magazines, two OEM stainless 10-round magazines, and one no-name 10-round magazine. This gun had Hogue rubber grips on it when it came to me, but I put Hogue G10 grips on it (you still get the rubber ones, too). Also comes with a nice SIG-branded padded nylon carrying case. KF date code makes this a 1995 gun. Night sights are long dead, of course, but could be replaced. I just painted the front sight orange and have kept shooting it. $700 to a Tennessee resident legally able to purchase handguns. Sorry, no trades this time. I live in Chattanooga and can drive a reasonable distance for a sale. Thanks for looking, Whisper
