  1. We've seen a ton of them this year on Elder Mountain (Chattanooga). There's one on the bird feeder even as I write this. Beautiful birds, but you don't see them except for a few weeks as they are passing through. Cheers, Whisper
  2. Welcome. Enjoy TGO. I'm also a member at Montlake. It's a fine range. Haven't shot any matches there but I am practicing a lot after being out of commission for a few months as a result of surgery. Cheers, Whisper
  3. Earlier Winchester SX models (SX, SX2, SX3) are pretty affordable these days. And the good old Browning Automatic 5 is still a clay-killing machine. Cheers Whisper
  4. I'll bump this again. Don't you want it to come live with you? Thanks for looking, Whisper

    SIG XTEN 10MM

I've not fired the G20 or the M&P 10mm, so I can't compare. But like I said, I consider the XTen to be remarkably soft shooting. Maybe there's a local gun store/range that would let you test them? Outpost Armory and On Target Shooting Sports in Murfreesboro are probably good prospects. Cheers, Whisper
  6. I learned years ago that if it’s a Phil Williams piece, at least a portion of it will be made up.
  7. Man, this will likely go fast. Wish I had time for a quick run to Knoxville. Cheers, Whisper

    SIG XTEN 10MM

I have one. It's a remarkably soft-shooting 10mm, and a much better gun than my previous two 10mms (Colt Delta Elite and AMT Javelina), both of which I sold years ago. I've read that there are some factory 10mm rounds that are a tiny bit too long to fit into the magazines, but I've not experienced that myself, and it may have been an early production issue. I like mine a lot. Happy to answer any specific questions you might have. Cheers, Whisper
  9. They need 60 votes, so they'll need 8 traitors to reach that mark. Four won't do it.
  10. Treaties are voted on in the Senate. They require a 2/3 majority approval.
  11. Then you haven't read them very much. Daily Mail - Media Bias/Fact Check (mediabiasfactcheck.com) Here's one of their classics: "Woman, 63, 'becomes PREGNANT in the mouth' with baby squid after eating calamari" But it's a free country, and you get to believe what you want to believe. Cheers, Whisper
  12. As a follow-up, I found the Daily Mail story, which did indeed come out today. But the Daily Mail is pretty much like the National Enquirer, in that they make a up a lot of stories, and not just on April Fool's Day. Coca-Cola makes cocaine in this secret New Jersey factory | Daily Mail Online
  13. We believe you; it's just that this story didn't break today. It's been reported often over the years; do a quick search and you'll find many stories dating way back. Also suspicious in your first post was the mention of the DEA; Coca-Cola products are regulated by the FDA, so that was a red flag for fake news.
  14. Amen.
  15. I started typing a response to this and then I noticed today's date. You almost got me. Whisper
  16. I've done many gun deals, with folks from TGO and elsewhere, with no problems. Some tips: Check the reputation of the buyer, be extremely cautious if the other party arrives with someone else, meet to do the transaction in the parking lot of a police station or a gun store. In case there's a problem, gun store parking lots have good potential witnesses who are likely to be armed. Be safe, Whisper
  17. You absolutely can. I have one in my range bag right this very instant. Cheers, Whisper
  18. Just a bit too far away, unless you'd like to bring it with you and come see Rock City. Cheers, Whisper
  19. Rats, too far away. I could use another one. Good luck, Whisper
  20. Welcome. Always glad to have new folks here.
  21. Bump for Monday. Somebody must want to add this to their SIG battery. Cheers, Whisper
  22. My mother used to make squirrel salad, using the same recipe as her chicken salad recipe, but substituting squirrel meat. Did the same with rabbit. Cheers, Whisper
  23. Don't sell it. You can buy the Macro grip module and some 17-round mags and put the XL slide assembly on it and then you'll have the ammo capacity benefits of the Macro without the bullet-velocity-reducing drawbacks of its "compensator." Cheers, Whisper
  24. When I saw this I thought "handloaded too hot," but I looked this incident up and read more details. This happened at a large gun rental range in Calgary. Ammo was factory Hornady, not handloads. Revolver had about 1,200 rounds through it at the time of this incident. S&W replaced the gun. Be careful out there, Whisper
  25. SIG P239 needs new home -- Gun is in excellent condition, German frame dates to 2007, comes with original box and two factory magazines. These are getting harder to find. Easy conversion to .357 SIG (you just need a barrel). I had planned on converting this to 9mm; now I've just decided to find one originally made in 9mm. SOLD Thanks for looking, Whisper
