Apple marches forth becoming less relevant by the day. Apple Pay is the only good idea they've copied in the last 5 years. The business is based on selling overpriced crap. I was always amazed that they felt the need to reinvent the wheel until they went with Intel architecture and a BSD based OS. And guess what happened when they got on board with the rest of the world... sales went up! Wow, shocker. Apple being as big as it is, and the fact that most people 25 and under know who Rhianah (or however you spell it) is but don't know who their own governor or senator is. .... is a true representation of how it has all gone wrong. Ours, and therefore the rest of the world to which we export only culture these days, is a culture that celebrates ignorance and narcissism. This is the reason that I'm a facebook shareholder even though I don't have a facebook page.

That was my thought, seems it would make more sense to have interchangeable barrels.

Yeah, I think it's because of proximity to Nashville and the party cove crowd doesn't like to drive too far home when drunk....  All lakes are fishing lakes to me! :)

I'd also add that I believe it does matter which lake your on, and when... I've been on just about every body of water in TN. There IS a different group on say Dale Hollow even than on Priest..... Priest has got to be the worst.   HOWEVER, Priest is the BEST for boat ramp ridicule! I've seen pure fail so many times at the ramps there.... If the fishing is bad we sometimes go to the dock to get a beer and watch the awesomeness.

We always try to get on the water at first light to avoid the pleasure boaters... they're all still hung over that early. Cooler weather keeps them away too... come November there's almost nobody out there.

Look what dad dug out of his safe today during our visit.... Pretty cool! They sure we're cheaper back then too!

I'll have to look at the spring again, but last time I took it apart was to fix just that issue.....   Oh, and that image is just one I found online to use for the post! :rofl:

Have a used Doublestar lower, when I got it someone had put the trigger spring in backwards.... so it wouldn't fire consistently. Turned that around, but now the pins have a tendency to walk..... Thoughts?

I've had 4 or 5 of those Wildgame.... They never last more than 2 years, if you use them regular. And I've never seen one that deer didn't notice, like the one in your picture.... who is looking right at the camera. Most of the WG cameras I've had, make noise... Almost all of them make a glow.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty swelled up on it. Good point on the box, I did put it in a safe place. However it is deteriorating, seems it has oil on it or something that is eating the cardboard up. It also came with ( a wadded up =/ ) test shot target paper. Not sure the best way to keep the box in good shape.... thoughts? Also, is Weatherby the only ones that make ammo for this thing?! I can't seem to find it anywhere else Cabelas.com has a box at $83! Wowzers

Thanks guys, I've never owned a "pretty" rifle... most of mine are more in the "tool" category. I'm actually nervous handling it!   It's a .270 Weatherby Mag... Don't know much about that round, but it seems like a hot load from what I'm reading!

So my dad calls me yesterday and says "I'm going to drop something by your house" and stops by while I'm at work and leaves this with the wife for me: New in the box Weatherby Mark V he bought back in the 80's. Never fired. He's had some significant health setbacks this past year, so he's thinking about things like this more now. I put it in the back of the safe, so maybe one day one of my sons will get it... never fired... in it's original box....... MAYBE! =) QUESTION THOUGH: I've never had anything this pretty before, do you guys think a silicone gun sock will hurt the finish? I put it in one so that it maybe doesn't get bumped in the safe.... it's tight in there.

I pulled the trigger on the ChannelMaster. My UVerse bill was $200 for this month. I'll be getting internet only from Commiecast until Google Fiber is ready. I'll post up about the CM and let y'all know how it goes.   I live really close to Lipscomb in Nashville so I should have pretty good reception to a lot of channels.

You've got to be ready for that. I took my Dodge Power Wagon to the top of lbl, of course I got some racing stripes along the way. But thats just a part of it. I took that Dodge up a lot of jeep trails, and it weighs about 2,000 pounds more than a raptor.... got a lot of funny looks at the top of those hills! Haha

:lol: That is a lot of people's idea of "wheelin"... dirt roads. "Oh no, look out for that mud! Uh oh there's a tree branch on the 'trail' " The raptor is cool, but we are a long way from a desert or sand dunes. So, unless your going to get reckless with your new $60k truck... in TN a Raptor is a mall crawler. But don't get me wrong, they're still cool.

Just put ours out in our indiana spot 2 weeks ago, will be pulling cards in a week or two. I've got 6 out in Indiana, 2 going out in my Maryland spot this week... hoping to see some good sika stag on that one. Still haven't done anything in TN spots though.... ughhh My wife is going to kill me this year.

I did this to my 870 in an attempt to salvage a bad hydro dip job that I tried to do at home. Been wondering how it would hold up long term, I've only had it out a few times since. Had one weird issue where bug spray got on it and made the paint sort of sticky, wiping it down with a damp cloth seems to fix it though...

I wanted something to mainly take videos and pictures of the boys, but also of my outdoors adventures.... I'm pretty rough on electronic devices. .. and well pretty much everything really... I've seen videos of GoPro's being blown up, shot, sitting on the bottom of the ocean for weeks, run over by cars.... I figured it was the best option to get good quality pics and video in pretty much any situation. Pretty pleased so far. With it plus my Samsung S6 Active phone... I'm good.

Interesting suspension idea, the level on a hill side thing is neat. Doesn't look very durable though.... and in the TN mud you're going to want more tire than that. Still, pretty neat
