  Totally agree. Schneier is an over-hyped hippie douche..... but he's spot on with his stuff on The Scare Agency. I've made it through with my Kershaw on MULTIPLE occasions when I forgot to pack it.   And besides, a suicide bomber or active shooter to the security line is the most likely point of attack anyway. Easily accessible with almost no resistance, lots of people crammed close together with nowhere to run......

I'd buy one of those tomorrow if they were as reliable as my browning maxus... I've seen where you can get different barrels and chokes for them. That would make an AWESOME (although painful) snow goose hunting setup with a 28" barrel and full choke!

I don't own one, but a buddy does... Mossberg makes a great combo setup, smooth bore 18" barrel for defense and longer barrel for bird hunting all in the same box. And... in all the cool camo patterns. Can't beat the reliability of a pump gun

I've done a bit with cars, trucks and Jeeps.... but I don't know much of anything about marine stuff. Got this boat from my buddy's dad a few months ago. It's an 87 model, so... but it's in excellent shape for the age and was a great deal.   Anyway, I do know that he had issues with it getting too hot and shutting down this past summer before I bought it from him. He said they had fixed it by putting in a new water pump. The original just plain wore out, and there was a sensor on the motor that if it got too hot, it shut down. And the old water pump just wasn't flowing enough water even though it was peeing just fine.   So I get out on the lake with my step dad the other day, and he notices it throwing water and exhaust out the front of the motor under the cowl. I took a quick video, but didn't have time to inspect it because my 4yo was on the boat and .... well...  any of you that have kids understand without further explanation.   https://youtu.be/tI695RNZWP4       Boat ran (and sounded) just fine, no issues. Was peeing just fine.   I'm thinking some sort of exhaust leak in the lower unit maybe?   Thoughts?

Ocare is under constant threat, the Iran deal won't be around next year, whatever he just signed us up for in Paris won't be either. Granted it's been about 8 years since I was involved... but my experience in IT security around power companies is that there isn't a really credible threat of a major blackout. There can be temporary outages for sure, but not really on any large scale. The power pool brokers are the major weakness, and they are mainly billing aggregates. I think this stuff is mainly hyped up a lot. You're not going to see anything like the whole southeast blacked out, maybe like a city here and there for a day or two worse case scenario. And I had full access to power broker network environments at the time, so i wasn't doing "help desk" nonsense. And I do know that since then they have stepped up security quite a bit. As in like truly offline systems.
