  1. What the crap is going on with .22? Walmart the guy said they don't get but less than a case every week. Academy, none... Dick's none. WTH?
  2. How do you go about staking a spot? First come, first served?
  3. Ok... well doh.... after searching for an hour and then posting this I immediately came across the following after posting: http://www.tn.gov/twra/gis/wmapdf/PercyPriest_13_web.pdf     But still, has anyone hunted this? What was your experience?   How do you stake a claim to a spot and are those islands covered also?
  4. Anyone on here ever hunted (deer) the WMA at Priest Lake?   What was your experience?   The website only says that it's near Poole Knobs, but doesn't outlay the area. Or at least I'm not finding it.
  5. Needed more room to get speed up, awd is the way to go for crowd plowing... but that boxer doesn't have the torque of a v8
  6. I'd love to see them at least fix that nonsense so that one could obtain a suppressor or an SBR without having to pay a right to by tax. Main reason I don't have a can now is because of all the red tape nonsense and undo attention it brings. Total BS.... And SBR rules make NO SENSE.
  7. Arms Up... Drive Thru.....     http://insider.foxnews.com/2014/11/26/watch-car-plows-through-crowd-ferguson-protesters-minneapolis     http://youtu.be/WiziJBg4Odc
  8. Saw yeager's video interviewing him. Thoughts? Are you a member? http://www.nfafa.org http://youtu.be/cMvk9j7617E I know he's a polarizing figure, hopefully not strating anything here just interested in the NFA lobbying
  9. Um.... Post says "don't" come down here... :squint:
  10. I ended up with this scope and I like it a lot: http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/CenterPoint_Optics_4_16x40_AO_Adventure_Class_Rifle_Scope_Illuminated_Mil_Dot_Reticle_1_4_MOA_1_Tube_See_Thru_Weaver_Rings/3909 I got it off Amazon for like $70. I'd agree with the assessment of the trigger... though I'd say the newer NP2 Trail has a vastly improved trigger over the previous NP model. The biggest downside to me of the new one is that it's quite a bit heavier, and very heavy by any measure. Also the build quality is lower, the NP is actually a pretty good quality piece.
  11. +27 on pyramyd air. Excellent service I like the Benjamin Trail NP2 I just got, I can consistently hit targets at 50+/- yards out in .22 with alloy pellets The NP2 comes with a pretty horrible Centerpoint scope though. I had a trail np before and it came with a much better scope.
  12. Thank goodness I live in the United States of Dixie. Y'all don't come down here when the SHTF...
  13. I recently ordered upper parts from them, got them in like less than a week... the next week ordered a couple of tools. Got them 20 days later with no apologies or notification of the delay, only after calling them and being on hold for about an hour did I get an update. .. that's of course after my emails went unanswered.
  14. That thing is sexy... wow. I bet that is like end the world loud! Haha my ar pistol is a 11.5" barrel and it's crazy loud, can't imagine an AK with a 7" barrel! That's really a "stun gun" heh... They'll be deaf and blind if you miss, so double protection!
  15. My son and I are the only ones eating it over here, last week went to make some steaks from a vacuum sealed buck from last year and it was rank as road kill... tried two other packages. .. same. Then I remembered that we had lost power for just about a full day back during the heat. Killed 4 last year, had about 15lbs left maybe. All bad, same with all my duck and goose from last year. It's an old crap freezer I got for free, guess what I'll be buying here shortly. Still, I had two 5 gal blocks of ice in there for just such an event. Backup power? Anyone rig that up before?
  16. From last year... And due to children.... That stand is still (maybe?) in that tree, and I've not even been back to check on it..... =\
  17. Any updates on this? I'm definitely interested...
  18. I've got some of these: Got them from Academy for like $8 each. Use those in with the Turbo Dogg crow sounds.... Works like a champ every time.
  19. I used two blocks of wood that I cut to fit the receiver, top and bottom, and then put it in my bench vise. But the damn barrel nut is on there so tight I guess it torqued the receiver a little. Nope, barrel is still on. :-\
  20. Total n00b stuff right here, but need some sage advice. Found out through trial and error that apparently if you want an AR that you should never try to disassemble, then by a S&W M&P.... I bought the optics ready version, and wanted to change out the hand guard for a longer free float one. So off has to come the gas block and the barrel nut. The optics ready version has this goofy looking gas block that is put on with like terminator force on the pin, and just to keep things interesting they decided to put the pin in BACKWARDS from every other gun out there. It takes some SERIOUS mojo to knock that little pin out.... So then I was trying to get this barrel nut off.... without the receiver vise block. ... Mistake. I'm pretty sure I bowed the side of the receiver just below the ejection port. So I squeezed it a tad with some pliers and I think it's pretty well back to straight, or damn close anyway. I really didn't have to squeeze it much. Should I be worried about this? And how much freaking force do they put on this damn thing anyway?! Right here is where it was bowed out:
  21. I've used a Bluetooth speaker of decent quality and my phone to call in crows.... Worked pretty good on them... Not sure about Mr Wiley. I've got a Turbo Dogg for him.
  22. Fixing to pull the trigger on a varmint upper for laying down some dogs this year. Thinking of this: http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=271 Cheap and seems plenty good enough for what I'll be up to. Anyway, being it's not super high-end... but also BRAND NEW.... I want to do a decent camo job on it. Thinking of they hydro dip, but I worry about durability. Y'all had any experience on that? Did you do it yourself, with one of those kits? Doesn't look hard, is the commercial stuff better quality? What about just plain old rattle can and fish nets? Seems sorta ghetto, and although I'm not taking this thing to war I wonder about durability of that also. What have y'all done?
  23. Due to family ....     So let's see'em.... go ahead... make me feel worse.
  24. I'm pretty sure it's not wood... I've seen it several times now under different light and it is definitely pink or maybe orange... Just turned to the TV and there were two LEO with them on. So it must be to designate non-lethal ammo or something?
