What is it with you all and the NRA..? :rofl:   The NRA doesn't give two diddly shits about our gun laws, or lack thereof them...   They want one thing...YOUR MONEY...Meanwhile, they sit back and do nothing while many states have their firearms rights chipped away, little by little...   Keep sending in that check to them though, you dont want to miss out on that new nra hat and arm patch...

Just another overblown story...Gun control isn't "sweeping the nation" at all..It's give and take all over the map...Even steven in the big picture..   Sounds more like some rich folks dumped some big stock $$ into a few gun/ammo companies, and are looking for a nice return on their investments via another gun/ammo buying frenzy...So who do they call, they call their major media company buddies and ask them to run some stupid story about some poor sap in commufornia...

  Good points, but here's the loophole i am referring to...   The law...   Tennessee prohibits a person to possess or carry, whether openly or concealed, any firearm, not used solely for instructional or school-sanctioned ceremonial purposes, on any public or private school campus, grounds, recreation area, athletic field or any other property owned, used or operated by any board of education, school, college or university board of trustees, regents or directors for the administration of any public or private educational institution.  See Tenn. Code Ann. § 39-17-1309(c)(1)   The highlighted section is the loophole...If i as a homeschooler, have instructional classes DAILY on firearms, how to use loaded firearms, how to store loaded firearms, how to carry loaded firearms, and have daily ceremonies with firearms, etc etc...Then is is legal to openly/conceal carry, and or have firearms in your home if you homeschool...   you do not have to prove you have the instruction, just state that you have it if asked, which your are never asked, because they are completely unconcerned with it...

    This state does NOT support home schooling in any way, no help is given to home schoolers via state monies, basically they don't like it...So thats the loophole..If they gave any sort of support via funds, books, etc, then they would have a say so in it, but they don't, so legally they have no say so....And i'm glad that they don't...We home schooled our children for 18 years...We didn't want them having any foothold in how we done it...thats kinda the whole point of home schooling anyway, keeping the govt out of your business, and out of your childrens heads...Public schools are no more than liberal indoctrination centers anymore...

I have a bag full of supplies to get me HOME if i happened to out-n-about when something goes down...I do not intend to bug OUT, ever...My last stand is my homestead, i will NOT give an inch more...I will die defending it before i run out the back door...and if i see that my defense is hopeless, then i will set the whole thing ablaze with me right in the middle of it before i lay down and give away what i have worked for my whole life...   Some might say it foolhardy to not save yourself/family and let them have the home, and it may very well be, but sooner or later you're going to have to draw a line..My line is at my driveway...Not one inch more...

  Yeah, the covers added to the rail do make it considerably larger than the stock hand guard, but so far i like the way they feel,,The utg covers are rubberized, so i gives a feeling of better grip to me...I don't have monster hands either..I guess i just like hanging crap on this gun..kinda like a christmas tree lol :D

It will be used to water my garden, wash the vehicles, etc...I plan on putting one of them high dollar ceramic filters inline when i can afford it lol :)   I just shut it off a few minutes ago, it took about an hour to pump 250 gallons up the hill into the tote..Good enough for me :D
