  1. What exactly are we going to do..? Do we have the millions of dollars it took to plan, organize and mount a rally that even marginally compares to the show they put on this past wknd.? Do we have the support and millions of dollars that was donated from dozens of Hollywood actors? Is delta airlines going to fly thousands of us to destinations for free? Is some NFL team going to going to let us use their private jet for free to fly us all over the US? Which organization/s are going to help us organize this, they had hundreds of WELL FUNDED antigun organizations all over the country that helped put these events together..Not to mention unlike them, we would have 0 positive media coverage.. Who do we have? The NRA Are they going to dole out the millions and help us organize such an event? Don't hold your breath, because that is very doubtful.. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the folks that are passionate about firearms are a very small minority in this country, and most do not have the time, or the money to organize such events.. Sure, there are plenty of so called "gun owners" in this country, but that majority are the "dads old .38 revolver in a shoe box buried somewhere in the closet", and grandads rusty old single shot shotgun stuck behind the bedroom door" types..And as long as these anti gun groups don't target them items, they are perfectly fine with your AR15 being banned.. I would love to see a huge grassroots movement to support the 2nd A happen, but the reality is the numbers don't line up with that pipe dream..
  2. I guess my biggest issue with this whole school protest thing is not that they are exercising their 1st A right, it is that fact that they are using one of the rights in the "bill of rights" to try and do away with one of the rights, in our bill of rights... Lets use our 1st amendment rights to get rid of the 2nd amendment right.. Kinda silly when you think about it that way..
  3. The wifey's ride (Dodge Charger) and my land yacht next to it lol And my old hot rod...73 road runner, I miss it
  4. While I believe that it is a good thing for our youth to be exercising their constitutional rights(maybe some of them will actually read the bill of rights lol), I don't think the majority of them are doing this for the sake of the cause, they are doing it so they can get out of class.. I also agree with davetn that these kids are being used by the leftists to further gun control efforts..The leftists don't give two ####s about the true safety of the kids..
  5. You win the gun internets today.. Sooo jealous..
  6. See that up there in bold^^, thats where this "discussion" stops for me... That stuff isn't a solution to anything, It is plain and simply more government intrusion that restricts rights of people of millions of people that did nothing wrong.. The criminals, and the few nuts out there that have it in mind to carry out these shootings, aren't going to be stopped by your solution..The criminal mind doesn't care about laws, and the criminally insane is unable to understand them..
  7. I didn't take the first shot here, you did.. I get sick and tired of people calling me, and the others in here childish because we see this issue as past the point of reasonable discussion..I, nor the others in here that see this as what it is are not acting like "teenagers"..We are simply reading the writing on the wall, which isn't in invisible ink, their stance on this is very clear..They aren't willing to discuss this in a reasonable manner anymore, and they aren't interested in hearing our solutions to the problem, they want the guns, period.. I took the red pill..
  8. Alright, since you believe that having a discussion with them is going to somehow turn out in a solution that doesn't involve infringement on our constitutional rights, here is the mouth piece that the left has anointed to speak for the kids on this issue.. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/378307-florida-shooting-survivor-proposes-having-walkout-every-14th Contact him to set up a meeting to "discuss" the issue, and then come back here to let all know how it turned out.. Meanwhile, I'll be looking for deals on more guns and ammo to stock up on..
  9. So we don't want to have a discussion? A discussion about what? Guns? They don't want to have a damn discussion, that was very obvious during the CNN/NRA hit piece.. The only thing these people want is to ban firearms, and restrict the Constitutional rights of millions of people that have done NOTHING WRONG.. They can all kiss my ass, I'm through having any "discussions" with these leftist marxist freaks...
  10. All the peasants would have 3 squares and a cot at the iron bar inn... And this witch gets off basically with a bit less than slap on the wrist... Grrr ...these politicians that continually get off with basically nothing for criminal acts pisses me off to no end..
  11. Geez! I'd have paid money to witness that..
  12. I'm fairly certain that no real gun control will be passed in the wake of this particular incident, could be possible when the next mass shooting happens.. As far as Trump's actual motives in this push, hell man I just don't know anymore..It's like trying to figure out which direction the leaves are gonna blow in lol.. My problem with this whole "chess move" thing is not that he is doing it, it's what he is playing chess with..I am 100% fine with political chess on issues like immigration, foreign policy, and the economy, none of that stuff is directly protected in the bill of rights, and he is free to wheel and deal on them issues as he see's fit... In contrast, I am NOT ok with any politician playing political chess with anything in the bill of rights.. I will not support anyone gambling with my natural rights..
  13. Well, looks like the senate repubs are on our side in contrast to trump's call for gun control... http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/376172-senate-gop-rejects-trumps-call-to-go-big-on-gun-legislation Senate Republicans say President Trump’s comments Wednesday calling for more ambitious gun-control proposals won’t change the political calculus in their conference, which supports a limited response to the shooting at a Florida high school. Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas), who is leading the GOP response to gun violence in the upper chamber, told reporters after the meeting with Trump at the White House that he still favors a limited approach. He wants to put a narrow bill on the floor that would give state and local officials more incentive to report relevant information to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System known as NICS. "For me the most obvious place to start is the Fix NICS [National Instant Criminal Background Check System] bill that has 46 cosponsors," Cornyn said of the bill he’s co-sponsored with Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy (Conn.). Cornyn warned that the Senate risked a repeat of this month’s failed immigration debate if it tries to draft an expansive piece of legislation. "I think the best way to start is to start with Fix NICS and then we can see what sort of amendments people that can get 60 votes," he said. The narrow approach favored by Cornyn is the strategy that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) effectively endorsed the day before. Trump surprised lawmakers at a White House meeting Wednesday afternoon when he voiced support for a five-year-old proposal sponsored by Sens. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) to expand background checks for firearms bought at gun shows and over the Internet. Hours before, Senate Republicans said it had no chance of passing and wasn’t really on the table. Trump also reiterated his support for raising the age requirement for purchasing assault-style rifles from 18 to 21 years, dispelling uncertainty on Capitol Hill about where he stood on the question. GOP leaders at lunchtime Wednesday said that raising the age threshold wouldn’t have enough votes to pass. “There aren’t the votes there for that,” Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Thune (R-S.D.) told The Hill. Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), who over the weekend indicated support for raising the age for buying rifles, on Tuesday walked back his earlier statement. And Trump urged lawmakers to fit a variety of ideas into one bill, dramatically expanding the scope of the legislative response that GOP leaders had tried to keep as narrow as possible.
  14. I watched the whole damn thing today... I'm absolutely sickened by some of the things i heard come out of his mouth.. Especially the statement about taking the guns first, then due process second..
  15. It is quite clear to me now, that we(2nd amendment gun rights supporters) are to the republican party as african americans are to the democratic party...Every election cycle, the left promises the moon to the AA's, and then after the votes are cast, they throw them under the bus...The right preaches support of the 2nd A to get the votes, and then when things get difficult, under the bus wheels we go also..I'm going to start building my collection of AR's from here on out, I've had my fill of this ####.. This isn't some 4D chess move crap, we just got tossed under the bus wheels by Trump... Crow is on the menu at Someotherguy's house this week..
  16. I hung mine on a old metal clothesline T post...I cut up some pieces of old dog chain I had laying around for the hangers.. Excuse the pic, just walked out back and snapped it with my pistol light for the light lol
  17. I believe I'll skip this year's episode of "russia russia russia"...
  18. The discussion of politics, sooner or later is bound to lead to hurt feelings, no way around it..With that being said, I believe this particular community is too close knit to discuss politics without it becoming a problem, especially after this past election cycle lol.. There are plenty of other forums where you can let your opinions fly without much blowback, and plenty of differing opinions to get all bent out of shape about I find that if I hit the keys on my computer really hard when I type out a response, that it really makes the other person know that you're serious.. Oddly enough, I find myself more active in other areas of this site without the politics..
  19. Terrible situation with no winners in the end... The marriage will suffer... The family will suffer... The taxpaying people of Nashville, will suffer... Sex and money, the two always seem to go hand in hand at making alot of peoples lives miserable, yet is the very thing that most folks desire to have the most of.. Maybe them Monks are on to something here..
  20. I'm not sure if it would fit with the laser grips, it is a tight fit with my lcr with stock grips. But keep in mind this is a leather holster, so it would eventually conform to the laser.. No calf strap...

  22. I remember a time when kids settled things behind the dugout at recess, and if they got caught settling it, then their butts got paddled by the principal.. And guess what, everyone went on with their lives.. And the two kids "settled it" after school in the alley behind billy's house.. And everyone went on with their lives... The problem is kids aren't being allowed to be freaking KIDS anymore...
  23. Ugh Prayers for the folks directly effected by this..
