  1. Gorgeous gun.
  2. Well I have to share my story from today.  Had a package from JC Penney that was to be delivered to my office today.  It did not come so I went to track the package.  The post office showed that my office address was un-deliverable and was returning the package to the sender.  This package started with UPS and then transferred to the post office for delivery.     The Irony,  I could not use my Post Office Box because it was being shipped UPS.  UPS gives it to the post office who cannot deliver to an address I receive mail and packages at daily.  Further Irony is my office is literally adjacent to the post office distribution center.     So I contact JC Penney.  They reorder my products, discount them 20%, refund my shipping charges from the first order and give me expedited shipping via UPS so it will not be placed in the post office's hands.  The lady with JC Penney literally said "Someone was to lazy to get their ass out of the car".  I had to agree, but in their defense I guess it was raining.  Another fine effort brought to you by the government.     Kudos to JC Penney for more than taking care of a customer.
  3. Wow. Thanks Dolomite. Wasn't expecting the Ready man business card tools. Cool. Now I don't know whether to open the cards or not. Ugh. The Children's Cancer Center, Humane Society and even the SPCA in Fredericksburg VA have donations with Dolomites name. A buddy of mine had a son selling mulch so their football team could go to camp. I bought some mulch and told him to donate to humane society. Said SPCA there was very thankful and even posted in their Facebook page. Thanks again for your generosity.
  4. Your good at exit 11. I've stayed there many times.
  5. Welcome to TGO
  6. 32 caliber
  7. I love the 40. Have several that see a lot of range time. I also have 9mm, 45 and 10mm. At the end of the day any caliber with the correct placement will do the job. My wife can drive nails with her 22. She handles it like an expert and can swap mags faster than you can blink. I would not want to be on the receiving end of a full mag from her. For me I would love to carry my 44mag Desert Eagle. Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice.
  8. Same here.
  9. Email sent.
  10. That should have said the grips ARE original. Me or auto correct messed that up. Also he said the side emblem came a little later. I didn't know that. Ejector rod was different at that time also. I love learning the history of these old guns.
  11. Yes Kukuri. Picture doesn't even come close to the quality of this knife.
  12. Gorgeous knife and sheath. GT does beautiful work. I love mine.
  13. Thanks. The grips are not original. The pictures posted do not show well at all. S&W guy pointed out several things I would have missed. But since I wasn't born until 65 years after gun was made I can probably live with myself having not known those details. Lol. Now off to get details on a Colt made in 1932 that I picked up at the same time as the Smith. Sometimes a gamble pays off. Good day.
  14. If I go down the path of special ordering I will be in big trouble. Lol.
  15. Welcome to TGO!
  16. It is a 1896 S&W. Had a S&W specialty guy look at it and it was made in last 3 months of 1899 or first 3 of 1900. All markings verified and certified. It is also now resting nicely in my safe.
  17. I got one 3 weeks ago from a motorcycle cop clocked at 70 in 55. Wrote me for 60 in a 55. I'm still waiting for it to post online so I can just pay the fine.
  18. You will not regret it. I'm just waiting for an opportunity to get another one from GT.
  19. Thank goodness they are already sold. [emoji27]
  20. Justice being served.
  21. Sharp
  22. Absolutely.
  23. That's the only area that has markings. He's going to send me better pictures tonight of the cylinder. Thx
  24. Same for me. I hate the trackpads. Wireless mouse is a must for me.
