Free Full-Auto Fun for a Good Cause
FightingSheepDog replied to FightingSheepDog's topic in Events and Gatherings
Yes, a HUGE thank you to: Windrock Shooting Range Eric Matson Joe and Lisa Kobli Michael Dresner Law Enforcement Sales Kris Paulson DTV Tactical Innovations Keith Bridges And all of the other RSOs, volunteers, and assistants we had on Sunday! The turnout was amazing. The guns were amazing. The charity is going to benefit SO MUCH from all of the toys collected, and from the cash donations we'll turn into toys for donation this week! We're already looking forward to next year! :) -
We've always operated under the idea that we want the customer to have a Level 10 experience in our store. If we raise prices on something, we damned sure better have more value to add to it at the same time, and the value had better be MORE than the dollar amount of the price that we raised.
-
That's crazy. We do about a dozen a day from Bud's, KY Gun Co, etc. That's an extra 12 customers each day that come in that might not have known about us otherwise. Hello? Free advertising? SMH.

Free Full-Auto Fun for a Good Cause
FightingSheepDog replied to FightingSheepDog's topic in Events and Gatherings
Any age. The Marine Corps only specifies a "new, unwrapped toy". Anything else is up to you. We'll be accepting financial donations on site as well and purchasing toys with them on Monday if you can't bring a toy. -
Yeah Spots, we're still $10 for the firearm and $10 for the background check. We decided from the day we opened that we'd never punish a customer for finding a better deal elsewhere. Some of our local competitors actually charge a percentage of what you paid for the gun for the transfer! That's none of their business!

Did we mention there'll be FREE hamburgers and hotdogs...plus we're putting a CAR on the range to shoot?!?!?! Have you RSVP'd yet?

Did we mention there will be a CAR on the range for you to shoot, too? We're at over 110 RSVP'd on Facebook! Don't forget your new, unwrapped toy or cash donation to participate in our Toys for Tots FREE Food, Firearms, and Full Auto Day next weekend! Looking forward to seeing everyone there! -
What if you could win a one-off custom 6.5 Grendel AR (or a .308 suppressor) and support a charity that you knew 100% of your donation went to the people who were supposed to get it? What if you could find out that you won, eat a belly-full of hamburgers and hot dogs, and shoot full auto (and/or suppressed) firearms to your heart's content? What if you could do it all and not have to leave East Tennessee to do it? YOU CAN! Fighting Sheep Dog (in Claxton/Powell and a TGO sponsor) has teamed up with Mike Dresner (also a sponsor on TGO), along with Windrock Shooting Range to support our local Toys for Tots. We prefer this charity because they only take toys and all of the people who collect, package, and distribute for T4T are all VOLUNTEERS! So, for the month of October, we'll have raffle tickets ($20 per ticket) for your chance to win either a custom, one-off 6.5 Grendel AR (donations from Black Hole Weaponry for the barrel, Spike's Tactical NiB bcg, JP Enterprises silent capture spring, Unique ARs handguard, and more!) or a Silencerco Specwar 762 suppressor. There's also a silent auction going on the entire month of October at Fighting Sheep Dog as well. 100% of all proceeds go to Toys for Tots! Then, on November 1st, come spend the day at Windrock Shooting Range. We'll have FREE hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone who joins us! Plus, a donation of either a new, unwrapped toy or cash, plus the cost of ammo from Windrock will give you the opportunity to shoot: - M60E4 LMG beltfed 7.62mm - M249 SAW beltfed 5.56mm - MP5A2 9mm - HK 416 5.56mm - M16A1 5.56 (Vietnam Style) - M16 300BLK - M16 9mm - M16 22lr - Sterling SMG 9mm - Ingram MAC-10 9mm - Accuracy International AW Covert 7.62 bolt action SAS Suppressor - Glock full auto 9mm (x2) - M4 10.5" - M4 13.5" - AR308 - Full Auto AK47 - Full Auto AR - Full Auto Polish PK 9mm - And at least 7 more ARs, most of them suppressed! RSVP on Facebook: https://www.facebook...08468702576791/ or stop by the shop at 530 Edgemoor Rd in Powell (across the street from the Breadbox Shell Station) and let us know you'll be there! Don't forget to stop by and purchase a raffle ticket or add your name in the silent auction, drawings are on November 1st at the range! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Free Full-Auto Fun for a Good Cause
FightingSheepDog replied to FightingSheepDog's topic in Events and Gatherings
Everyone knows that Fighting Sheep Dog Range Days are epic. You show up and shoot any of our ARs (suppressed, SBRs, rifles, pistols, etc) for FREE. Just get the ammo from Windrock so we can control the quality of what's going down our barrels. But on this VERY SPECIAL Range Day, we're celebrating the anniversaries of both FSD and Windrock while generating a MASSIVE drive for Toys for Tots with Law Enforcement Sales' Mike Dresner! On November 1st, you'll have the opportunity to shoot: - M60E4 LMG beltfed 7.62mm - M249 SAW beltfed 5.56mm - MP5A2 9mm - HK 416 5.56mm - M16A1 5.56 (Vietnam Style) - M16 300BLK - M16 9mm - M16 22lr - Sterling SMG 9mm - Ingram MAC-10 9mm - Accuracy International AW Covert 7.62 bolt action SAS Suppressor - Glock full auto 9mm (x2) - M4 10.5" - M4 13.5" - AR308 - Full Auto AK47 - Full Auto AR - Full Auto Polish PK 9mm - And at least 7 more ARs, most of them suppressed! Cash donations or a new, unwrapped toy plus the cost of ammo is all you need. We'll take care of the guns and food! RSVP on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/908468702576791/ or stop by the shop and let us know you'll be there! Don't forget to stop by and purchase a raffle ticket or add your name in the silent auction, drawings are on November 1st at the range! -

Absolutely! I can stick your tickets in the mail to you after payment is received! Whatever we need to do to raise as much money as we can for a great cause! -
Fighting Sheep Dog is kicking off it's annual "Toys for Tots" drive and this year is gonna be epic! Forget the raffle for the custom-built 6.5 Grendel AR (1st prize) or the Silencerco SpecWar 762 (2nd prize). It's the day that we DRAW for these prizes and close the silent auction that'll be the most memorable for you! We're teaming up with Windrock Shooting Range and Mike Dresner of Law Enforcement Sales to bring you a day of FREE hamburgers and hotdogs, FREE access to shoot any of our firearms (suppressed, sbrs, 300blk, and more)... ...but that's not all! See, Dresner's bringing some full-auto goodies (SAWs, M60s, and more) and Windrock already has a full auto Glock and full auto AR available. And all you have to do is get the ammo from Windrock to play! Full details are available through us at Fighting Sheep Dog. Swing by and introduce yourself, grab some flyers to put up at work, and let's make this a fun time for both you, your family and friends, and the kids who'll receive a very special gift from you this year.

Fighting Sheep Dog is excited to announce it's next "FSD Range Day", coming up on September 20th from noon-5pm at Windrock Shooting Range in Oliver Springs. This event is FREE to the general public! We'll supply ALL of the guns. We usually bring between 6-8 ARs decked outh with some of the hottest accessories (JP Silent Capture springs, TacCon trigger, various muzzle brakes (Primary Weapons Systems' CQB, Strike Industries Cookie Cutter, Black Rain Ordnance Miculek-style brake, etc), Gibbz side charging handle billet upper, a variety of buttstocks, etc). We also have a suppressed DMR, suppressed SBR in 5.56, and suppressed 300 blackout SBR - all FREE for you to shoot! No range fees! You'll receive a handout with the accessories in each gun so you know what you're shooting and can document what you like, don't like, etc. All we ask is that you don't bring your own ammo, but rather get it from Windrock Shooting Range. This allows us to control the quality of the ammo being shot through our barrels and support a local range at the same time. Come prepared for an AWESOME time, shoot some really cool ARs, see what's possible, and discover some accessories you may want for your next build!

UGH, yet another AR-15 technicality that I learn a little too late.

Cerakote or Duracoat ?
FightingSheepDog replied to WhiteJD4's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
We're in Powell (Claxton, technically) and do both Duracoat or Cerakote in-house. We're happy to discuss options on either with you and go over what you'll be doing with the firearm to make sure we choose the coating, color, and whether a clear coat is necessary. Our gunsmith is also happy to go over any questions/concerns you have while you're here in the store as well.
