    Weekend Trips

Fun.......No Go phone. In the past we have really enjoyed such things as the Living History Farms in Iowa. Wisconsin Dells and water parks. Also before our son was born we went to the Smokey mountains there was a place there called Hillbilly Golf that was fun. We also enjoy the corny comedy and dinner shows. Really we just want to get away where there is not a lot of traffic and fun family friendly activities.

    STI 4.0 Lawman

Got it out today. At. 25 yards it was spot on. Seemed to be very well balanced. Only thing I did not care for were the sights. All my others have three dots. Guess it might be me being picky but just I really want a set of white dots for it. I have heard good things about Wayne at Mason Henry anyone ever have him do any work for them? Thanks

Yes that's exactly what I was getting at. We could do a mid week thing. Is it still only 30mph on the road in? Thanks
  8. Being new to Tn just past the year mark. Much of last year was taken up by getting settled in. Not much time for fun. So after recent events I have begun to think about what is really important Family. On our drive down here there appeared to be a old west style amusement attraction near southern Kentucky it was right off 65. Growing up in Michigan we had a place called Stage coach stop. Kind of corny but fun for children. My son just turned 11 so I was wondering what there might be to do within 3 or so hours drive? The idea of visiting the East side of the state sounds like fun but all that traffic not so much. Any ideas? Thanks
  9. Not being sarcastic....but if you ever read the Quran it really gives you quite a bit think about.
  10. Next thing your going to want people to stop using the left turn lane for a lane of travel. Good luck with that.
  11. Trap it out back. Release by front gate if it wonders off well at that point it relocated all by itself.
  12. We have a coyotes size trap? The one I saw yesterday was really big. That's why I didn't just shoot it. When ever I am out there I always have at least a 22. Now that we are getting things cleaned up I a finding a lot of things such as water snakes etc. I am not sure if it was fat or carrying young. So I may just set a live trap outside the whole that way no harm no fowl. And if is getting ready to have young it can do it at the recreation are down the road.
  13. Ok so I made a positive id on a suspect today. Clearly the large holes on our property are being made by ground hogs. I was mowing today and watched him go across the field and right down its hole. Aside from the obvious how do I get rid of them? Is there something I can put down to cause them to move on? I always try not to harm animals but when we get livestock I don't want them to step in one of their holes and have issues. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

  15. Ever since my son was five I have have been spending time shooting with him. We always say a prayer for those who never came home and their families. Then we talk about the sacrifices that were made for our freedoms and liberties and the importance of honor and integrity. There is something especially gratifying about shooting a 1911 an M1 Garand or even an M9 on this special weekend. What's your tradition?

  16. Just wondering how this happened? Someones idea of a bad joke? I had to open it I could not believe the cool aid content in it. Understanding we all have different views but really a dose of reality would be nice. I cant believe one of the questions was asking which Republican candidate you feared the most? I mean really what are they tryjng to do? Get a idea who to target with ad campaigns? I could not resist answering the question with Donald Duck. Guess if they are stupid enough to send me the survey they can pay the postage to hear my answers to their questions.
  17. Had not thought about sheep? As you stated it might be wiser to wait till fall. I do plan on taking a deer this season we can literally hunt off our back deck. They seem to go back and forth to the lake down the same lane over and over.
  18. I must be somewhat cold hearted. I really would not have an issue in dispatching it. I would think that we would have given it a better life that it would have had versus a feed lot somewhere. Besides giving your family the best you can means a lot.
  19. Bought a magizine loader for my wife and her Sr 1911 she loves it.
  20. They are prominent in Michigan South Dakota Indiana and Nebraska. We have until now never lived anywhere where there were Waffle Houses. Thanks
  21. Is Waffle house like a Dennys?
  22. Thought we would have that concern too. Until he named the turkeys at the time Christmas Thanksgiving and New Years. Kind of funny side story my son had the most difficult time convincing a classmate that milk really came from cows not Walmart.
  23. Did they say "Clean Bore" on them? I inheriteda few boxes of them was trying to date them as well?
  24. We already do chickens and turkeys and they taste a whole lot better than commercially raised. So I figured why not expand out a bit. We do a lot of veggies and I have even learned to can chicken and veggies so it carries us through the winter between freezing things and canning. I have not had a good steak since we left South Dakota. There must be a livestock exchange around here somewhere. Although the fair should be coming up soon so that might be a good place to start.
  25. We now have our back fenced in. With pretty decent pasture grass mix. So I was looking to find out if there was someplace locally to get bacon seeds and a calf or two? Thanks
