  1. Ended going with Novaks target master trijicon night sight and Competition wide notch Navaks rear sight. They are fast and offer the confidence I need when long shots become necessary. Very pleased with the combination.

    STI Lawman 4.0

Ok so after much deliberation I decided on Target master trijicon front sight paired with a competition wide notch Novaks rear sight. Well got them put on at work today and sent about 200 rounds downrange. I have to say very fine weapon accuracy is amazing. I have to say I am very impressed with the STI. It ate every thing with out issue.
  3.     I feel your pain yesterday I ran over a ground nest with the brush hog. The little jackwagons would not let off. Multiple stings. Later last night a mixture went on their nest a small explosion and fireball was visible in the night sky. Problem solved
  4. Looks like there is Person Of interest in custody for the latest atrocity in Memphis. My thoughts and prayers go out to the officers family and co workers. Sad day in deed.

    Mowers

Ok now I am intrigued. Paying some one to cut your grass? When we first moved in we were given a quote of over $300.00 to knock things down. That was a easy choice off to Moore's we went and a Bush hog came home with us. Today I cut out back with it the grass was over 6ft tall. I was being cheap and letting it go to seed. So I did not have to buy seed to over seed it. Plus I had not put gates in until last week so could get through the new fence. The Bush hog we have is 48 inches and although it was not lighting fast it realy did not take that long to cut it down. So I am thinking for a lot of reasons the 48 inch deck should be fine. The one we are looking at has the Kawasaki engine and a welded deck. Not as big as the 60 but I think a better fit four our needs.
  6. Ok so I liked the the picture in the local mj paper.
  7. Good stuff. We adopted two from a local shelter. The next day no one would have had the option to adopt them. They have been the best dogs. The big one has taken on the role of head of security for my son. Hope people will take advantage of the offer win win for everyone. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Ok I would go with the 9mm. Two reasons I carry the Professional daily. So I would not opt for the 45 acp. I am sure the 45 is nice but just wouldnt be my choice. Next I did not realize how much 9mm Perfecta I acquired when they were on roll back. Either way I think you will be happy.
  9.     True signs do not carry the force of law in Indiana; but carrying in a casino or riverboat casino is prohibited by statute regardless of having an Indiana LTCHG or any other state for that matter. Also you can carry on school property as long as you are dropping off or picking up a student and you do not exit your vehicle. Additionally a duly authorized citizen may carry in a designated school with the express written permission of the school board and superentendant. So carrying in a casino no go

    Brownells?

I saw that they offered discounts but I wouldn't feel right about accepting some thing that was not available across the board. I did however ask someone at work about the recommendations that they made and they were spot on. I am going to send them an email letting them know how helpful Curtis was. Didn't get his last name so hopefully there is not more than one in their tech department. With shipping looks like what. I really wanted will come in just under$100.00 which is about $30 to $40.00 less than some other places which I would have had to compromise on getting exactly what I wanted. Maybe the month plus worth of research was actually worth it.

    Brownells?

Anyone ever order from them? They look like they have a target ring trijicon night sight for the front and a wide notch plain black novaks sight for my STI. Hard to believe I have spent over a month researching a set of sights.

    Mowers

I think we are going to get the 48 inch deck we have a fenced in area around our chicken coop which has a tight entry with a gate I would have to up root some post and make the gate bigger. This way we can get a little smaller mower with better features. I stopped at the Wilson County co-op store real nice down to earth people there. We will be purchasing from them. Hard to beat quality service and a fair price. Not the cheapest around but I think they will offer the best value.

    STI SIGHTS

Ok so I had it narrowed down to 2 choices. XS sights and Blazos custom set of Strait 8 night sights. I emailed xs and asked them if rear sight was about the same size as the stock sight or if would be smaller? Fair question I thought then I get some wise crack response telling me how the Great one never intended for Novaks sights to be on a 1911. Never answered question. Guess it will be the Blazos sights at least I can see exactly what I am buying.

    Mowers

No they were very up front on it its a 10 year warranty on the shell. On our Crap Cadet the spindle dropped right through the deck mounting area gave way. Which I don't get we replaced the blades every season. It never had any vibration etc until it gave out. I think this has been the highest maintenance cost mower we ever owned. Not it basically useless except for transportation around the property.

    Mowers

That's the thing that has me on the fence. We looked at some that did not have stamped deck but the warranty was substantially less. We also looked at a Bad boy mower but it was more costly and warranty not as good.

    Mowers

Anyone have any experience with Huskvarnas? We are lookingat one of their Zero Turns. Seems like the deck is not as heavy duty as some? But it has a 10 year warranty on the deck. On our Crap Cadet the deck spindle mounts rusted away. Right after I bought a new belt plugs fuel filter and changed the oil and filter. Good old MTD.

    Papa Johns

Kind of thinking there was no logic. Two things first I had sent an email back in June 2014 asking about their policy. Which was several months prior to the atrocity in Columbia. Second I highly doubt the changed their policy based on a single email? Still think they are trying to regain lost revenue. Guess that's just the cynic in me.
  18. I feel like Bersa guy saying this but why not try the Thunder cc with a good owb holster you wont even know its there. Besides range time would be a bit more enjoyable as well. Just a thought.

    Papa Johns

So I was a bit bored so I emailed Papa Johns corporate below is the response I received today. The response was edited to remove any names. Also it should be noted that I did not identify myself in any way other than being a consumer. Hello Mr****** My name is *********** I am the General Manager of the Mt Juliet Papa John's. I would like to welcome you to our store and address the no guns sign that I removed from my stores front window. Papa Johns never intended to offend anyone when rolling out the no firearms policy. In Oct 2014, a 21 year old shift leader in Columbia, Tn was robbed at gun point of which ended fatally. At that point Papa John's decided to promote the safety of their team members in the attempt to deter theft and violence. However, when your complaint was submitted, I spoke to the management staff in my store and we all came to the agreement that we would remove the sign to allow consumers like yourself to feel welcomed into our establishment. I apologize for any inconvenience this sign may have caused and hope you will become a happy customer of My Juliet Papa John's! .....

    Donuts

Ok l am wondering who has the best donuts in Wilson County? When we lived in Boone Grove the Walmart in Valparaiso baked them on site. They were always fresh so I would stop sometimes and get some for my son. Now since we moved here it appears its a bit of a chore to find fresh donuts. Any suggestions? Thanks
  21. Believe it or not we use the Dog Goose combo very effective. The Goose is the loud one. The dog really quiet but 140 pounds of dog haulling down the drive way really makes some one re think the idea of even thinking about opening the gate.

    Papa Johns

We had supper last night at The Corner Pub in MJ. We ended up parking at the other end near Papa Johns and we walked past the entry door I had to do a double take their posting was gone. So after after we ate we again went past tbe entry door one of the drivers was walking back in so I asked him why the posting was gone? He said too many people complained so they took it down. Kind of wondering if it was a corporate directive or a store based decision.
  24.     Not being sarcastic but were you able to get the same results with stock sights? Also do you have have manipulate the placement of the dot at farther distances? Thanks
  25. Ok i feel lke i have been doing two much research. From what i am hearing xs sights are getting mixed reviews with some saying that they are not a sound choice for anything beyond up close. So I guess to me it seems like I would be limiting myself going with the xs sights? Seems like the two dot set up might be a better way to go? Besides I am wondering why mess with a proven set up?
