1. How old is he,20 ga.too big?410 ammo is expensive! He is 11
2. I want to get my son a long gun for Christmas. He has a 10/22 already. He wants to take up small game hunting. So I was thinking about a 410. Some time ago I seem to recall seeing a lever action but really didn't pay that much attention to it now I am wishing I had. Anyone have any ideas? Or other suggestions? Thanks
3. try the 21 foot rule and i think the empty chamber will disappear  with most of you. Better yet watch the episode of mythbusters!
4.
I keep an empty chamber mainly because I am still relatively new to firearms and despite practicing hard I can still find my figure on the trigger.  When I find it I stop and force myself to fix the issue but it takes time to train muscle memory like that.  I am getting better and am making mistakes less frequently but until my mistakes are pretty much zero I am not ready to carry one in the camber.   Thanks Robert What do you carry and how? I am guessing its not a wheel gun. There is a lot more to it then just the side arm. Holster location of carry can be a big part of it. Also snap caps can be your friend to help with training. Not to sound like a jerk... but you owe it to yourself and family to get the training to carry comfortably at the ready.

Has anyone had a chance to see one of their 1911's? Thanks
6. I want one that can be modified to fix stupidity and lies......that would be a magic button.
7. Normally I don't chime in on stuff like this...but I can relate. True story when we lived in Valparaiso Indiana my wife would shop at a no frills grocery store called Town and County. It was a nice clean place no fancy coffee bars and such but good prices. We are a single income household by choice so my wife clips coupons. She usually has all the corresponding items placed together and her coupons organized. It might take the cashier an extra thirty seconds to ring her up. One day there was this fine upstanding entitlement person behind her in line with her Bridge card( Indiana's version of the ebt card) out who told her she needs to get the F out of her way and she ain't got time to be waiting on some cracker with coupons. Love my wife she told the little princess that when she starts paying for her own groceries she can complain. Until that time I suggest you close your legs keep your mouth shut and get a job.
8. Yes first hand. My wife has one. Was her first handgun. Hers has been very reliable accurate and easy to shoot. Very well built in my opinion a good choice. My wife carried hers for about a year or so. Would highly recommend it.
9. Mini is a solid choice for a variety of situations. I trust mine and would not be with out it.
10. Ah that can not be right?
11. What does the green box represent in your profile? Thanks
12. Karma Perhaps? Our a by product of living right and being there for people? Glad to hear things worked out for you. As a side note Thank You for your service and sacrifices you have made.

Finally gave in

We now have An AR in the safe. Again another great experience with Guns and Leather. For a low end Ar or so they say Ruger seems to have done it right. It seems to feed a lot of varieties with out issue. Overall very happy with it although I was really surprised to see it did not come with a Ruger mag.
14. How about a gate at the end of the drive? Combined with a chain and lock. Ours is posted as well. If after all that and someone shows up beyond the gate then its Houston we have a problem.
15. Quite possible I don't ever recall seeing her there before. I get that not everyone always has a great day at work. But working at the co-op is a fairly safe environment you don't have to deal with things that defy explanation other than there is evil in the world. Perhaps being nice is too much for some.
16. Sorry I have not lived here all my life. We know the people that live down the road. But that's about it. We were at the Wilson County Co-op today there was an unusually cranky lady there. We needed to pick up some feed and they are a bit cheaper than tsc. So we usually shop there today we asked about buying corn in bulk. Ultimately the lady was of 0 help and said look you just need to buy a gravity wagon and find local farmer. Great advice there! Would have appreciated it so much more if she would have just told us look I am reading my magazine and I cant be bothered with your stupid questions. Does anyone know of someone that grows corn and sells it in bulk. Were talking about 40 bushels at a time. Thank you
17. Agreed. I sent corporarate a nice email expressing how we appreciated their friendly staff.
18.
Not under 25", no.   You could swap an 18.5 incher onto it, but it's unclear to me whether the Wingmaster barrels have the same nicely blued finish as the receiver, or are just powder coated or whatever like the others.   - OS[/quote Wonder if it would be a big deal to have it cut down a bit and threaded?
19. So we getting ready for the South's version of winter. So we are cleaning up the homestead fixing fences etc. Today we decided to make our run for a a pallet of wood pellets. We were checking out and my wife said to the cashier were hoping for the annual 10% off coupon to come out looks like we missed it this year. The cashier said a lot of people are stealing them out of peoples mailboxes. Then she says to my wife my truck is the red one with the dented door here is my keys I have a few in my truck your welcome to one. Wow talk about a nice thing to do. Then when the yard girl was loading the pallet she caught the underside of the bed liner with the forks and messed it up a bit. She was really upset and said the store would take care of replacing it for us. We let her know that would hardly be necessary we were wanting to take it out anyway. Maybe customer service has not gone away completely.
20. Under $1k. Looks like she really wants one for pest control. She likes the pump action. Nwondering if the Wingmaster comes in a shorter barrel?
21. Its just something she wants. No specific purpose.
22. Ok my wife would like a 12 gauge. Looking for suggestions. I would like to get her something a little nicer than an 870 express. Not knocking the 870 but the finish to me is not all that great. Any suggestions? Thanks
23. If you go the 17hmr route Henry sure makes a nice octagonal barrel one. Just my. 02
24. Funny training is not all that expensive. Its actually a lot cheaper than using ammo. It doesn't cost anything to practice your draw aim at multiple targets and dry fire. In my opinion far to many people focus too much on hitting a ring on paper. It more beneficial than many realize to simply practice with snap caps or a confirmed unloaded weapon.
25. Your certain to make friends here. We really loved the Irish Hills area. Despite the winters I still miss it sometimes. But we have had to move a lot for my Job. I think the Cabellas in Dundee was the nicest one I have ever been to. Good luck you're sure to enjoy it here.
