Ok so the fun is about to start, was able to take advantage of the cool weather yesterday and brush hog the property what was once a overgrown disaster is now a good solid start for a pasture and other things. Bad news I found about 5 tires in the brush an old micro wave and part of gas grill. Microwave and Metal from gas grille are easy ones but the tires Hmm. Was wondering if there was some reason why i should not lay them out edge to edge across the back of the berm I want to build and fill them with dirt to add mass and height to the backstop? Thoughts

its a compact 32hp diesel I was maybe thinking about trying to find a 4ft one that way I might be able to get around a litte easier with it? I really did not want to buy a uese one from what I am seeing some look like they were rode hard and put up wet and they seem to be asking nearly new prices for them seems like Just asking for a problem. We have a small parcel So it most likely would not get used over and over but it would be kind of nice to have it around when you need it. I have walked the property and there are very little saplings or other debris on property but still I think it would be too much for a finish mower.

I was very lucky I bought mine from someone that just wanted it to do a driveway and then did not want it any more because it ran hot I tried telling him you can not run 50/50 coolant mix in it because it uses a thermo syphon and the mix needs to be about 30/70 he was sure it needed a head gasket so I offered him $2500.00 for it put the proper mix of coolant in it and it has not skipped a beat in the 6 years I have owned it

i was lucky enough for find a deal on a 74 Yanmar Tractor with a three point...had to buy in when we moved into our home in Indiana back 3 acres was all corn and when the guy took it out he destroyed the property massive 3 ft chunks of dirt ruts etc. With the snow and all I found a used back blade that I used with a middle buster to plow out a patch and then took the back blade to push it into a pile. It took about a day to make the berm so it was worth it because I was able to use what I had to get the job done while not ideal it worked.

Ok so the boxes are unpacked every thing is painted in the new house. So now I get to have a little fun outdoors. I want to construct a small range on the property. Problem is there is such heavy over growth of years of neglect so the lanwn mower is not going to cut it. I have been looking around for something to do the job and I am thinking either a brush hog or a rotary cutter would be needed to do the job? Is there much difference between a rotary cutter and a bruch hog and would either of them co ok for maintainence of the grassy areas? Also I am wondering about the size of the berm I would need to construct? I was thinking about an area around the size of four feet tall by ten feet across? We have a nice dip in the property which would appear to be ideal. plus there is nothing behind it. i would be using it primarily for handgun calibers and 22lr. Thoughts? Thank you

We will become residents of Wilson County Next week. My son who is ten is starting to get a little nervous with the move. So I was wondering if someone might be able give some information about children's activities in the area. I thought if we could find a soccer team in the area it might give him a chance to make some new friends. Also wondering if Tennessee has has summer programs for children through the parks and recreation? Do churches have sports leagues in Tennessee? Thanks

My wife has the Sr22 very accurate fun to shoot provided you can find ammo. She has been very happy with it.

SO was that store Just pricey or are there other stores near Mt Juliet that might be the same price here Indiana Just wondering if I should buy if before the move?

Wanted to verify my belief was correct from what I have read I will have 6 months to get a TN license? From what I have read that appears to be the case. We are closing on our house May 5th and will officially become residents.

Valparaiso climate has really changed since Chicago mentality seems to be spreading. I am thankful that we were given the opportunity to come here and call it home. Am I correct in thinking my Indiana ltch will be valid for 6 months after we officially become residents?

Finally after 3 months of driving back and forth from Indiana we found our home in Wilson county bigger home nice barn and elbow room. Can any one recommend a good gun store in that area? Also if there are any outdoor ranges or places to shoot near by? Thanks

After house hunting decided to check out one of the Gun stores in the area Frranklin Guns. Really busy so hard to find what I was looking for. But at any rate what made me wonder was the guy walking in at the same time. Made a purposeful effort to partially uncover his fire arm so that all the world could see loosely holstered weapon flopping around at his waist. I have heard of barbecue guns but this????? P.s can some one recommend a little smaller store that would have a good selection I am looking for a M 1a Thanks

I am staying in the Franklin area are there any lgs in the area that any one has a good experience with? Also I am wondering about this strange thing called a tax stamp? Does it mean that you have to pay an extrax10 cents per box of ammo on top of the of the sales tax? Also I was told its not legal to have ammo with out the sticker? That can not be right?

Looked at Harder? I have heard some odd things from speaking with people one even said that their instructor said that he discourages people from practicing at longer ranges????? Yeah I get some. May not want some people to think 30 yards is a good distance to practice at but really when did being competent become a bad thing. My wife does not qualify for an exemption so she will have to take a course; I may tag along with her just because.

Ok was talking with a guy at a cell phone store. Who said if you have a HCP you have to register the side arm you will be carrying?

What do you do when you encounter a posted business?
none replied to 10-Ring's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Well we elected not to go into the Cool springs mall. We were staying at the Residence inn there and needed a few things we saw the sign and respected their wishes and took our business elsewhere. I also sent the management Company a quick email politely explaining why we would not shop there. -
Ok so I just found out we do not have to use an agent referred by my relocation company. With that being said we decided to find a new agent to help us find a new home. We have narrowed the search down to the Spring Hill area. Can any one recommend a good agent in that area? Thank You

I have confirmed hotel does not have a policy against carrying. Just to be sure as long as its not a prohibited area I am good to go as long as there is no sign. In the case of a posted sign I will not be importing my money to their establishment. Also places that serve alcohol are off limits? Thanks
