Thank you just checked the numbers fall in line with 1960 sequence so how is is it possible for it to be two tone either nickel or stainless with a blued slide? Thanks seems like $650 would be too high?

Any way to tell the year made by the serial numbed? I really like the feel of it just want make sure its a good price

Thoughts? What would be a good price for a 1960 Belgium made model in two tone stainless Blued slide. I would be shooting it once in a while but mainly want to pass it on to my son someday. Would it be a good investment as it appears to be in excellent condition.

Working great just. Have to run it in a lower gear with higher rpms so my tractor does not run to hot. Especially in this heat. The guy at Moore's was great.

I am going to get it tested. We are not what I would call preppers but we do have provisions for about 6 months. We also raise our own fowl. So to have our own.emergency water supply would be great. If icould figure out how to do it I would add a picture of it.

So the new homestead is comming along nicely. I was brush hogging by the barn today I came upon what I thought was a piece of an old couch with beer cans thrown around it. So put all the cans in a trash bag and grabbed what I thought was a piece of old furniture turns out it was a old stand up shower base which I was going to drag off until I discovered what I think is a well? It appears to go down about 25 or so feet there is what looks like flat field stone layered for at least 20 feet. There is water visible looks to be clean? Clearly someone took a lot a lot of time and effort to do this there is no cement used just cant figure why it would be where it is and if it would be useable or if there is any way to tell the age of it?

Saw one of those at the MJ Petsmart looked like the range was only about 50 feet on it? Acoording to the package. I would need something that would have about a 300 foot range on it. I. Went over and asked him today after work and asked if he did not mind I would be happy to take the dog for a walk for him if he did not have time? I received a less than polite response. And was again told to stay inside an close the windows it wont be a problem. So I guess I am about ready to back my work vehicle up near. His house and light it up every time the dog starts barking. Clearly the problem is more the owner and not the dog.

Yes carfax limited at best. If your really that concerned about it have some run a NICB or ISO on the vin.

Ah not real sure about the crowded subdiivision thing as we don't live in one nor on a small lot so I guess these concerns are not subdivision problems.
-
Talked to him after about two weeks of non stop barking His thoughts were basically close you windows and dont go outside it wont be a problem then.

We have a hedge line about 12 feet tall on the property line so I am guessing its hearing us?

Thats an Idea maybe I should just start shooting the Mini 14 every time the dog starts barking Hmm . Ah I guess that would not work because then I would be annoying others I am sure. Gotta be something i can do.

Yes we live in the county I just looked it up on the web seems like there is something that is called bark off and a bunch of similar products that seem to have an operating range that would be in range. I want to go to Gouger Mountain this a.m so it might be worth a trip to Petco. we have two dogs and they may bark if some one comes up to the house they dont recognize but thats it. One is a St Benard so he does not care for the heat so he spends most of the time inside very well behaved well trained dog and he is basically my Son's bodyguard found that out when one of the movers whom Buster did not care for went Near my son Buster planted him self right in front of him and stayed at his side until the mover had left. So I really appreciate dogs and they are great family pets. Just don't appreciate ones that dont stop barking from 4 am on.

Next door 5 dogs on property all in seperate out door kennels. Not really an issue but once I step out side they start barking, last week I was installing fencing on our property making minimal sounds the dogs barked in excess of 4 hours constantly between the 5 of them. Finally I had enough and went inside and put on my ear muffs that I use when shooting. Which really helped but thats not a long term solution. I want to be a good nieghbor but I would really like to sit out on my deck at 5:30 in the a.m and relax and enjoy a cup of coffee with out hearing the dogs bark for the entire period of time. If I had to guess I would say the dogs are barking becuase they recevie little to no human attention. I thought of throwing one of my dogs rawhide bones over to it to see what happens but i thought what if the dog chokees on it etc. I dont want to be jerk but I also dont want to have to listent to this constantly. I have talked to them next door and he said yeah they bark all the time yes I have noticed and then he said well between the tv in the house we just shut all the doors and we dont hear it! So I am at a loss as it seems they really are not intersted in even addressing the issue. Thoughts?

Semi autos in 45 acp 9mm and 380 and 22lr. I am kind of leaning towards a long gun. Thanks

Ok so I have been really frugal for the past 6 months knew we would be moving and not rally sure how much the new mortgage would be etc. Well now it seems that well I have a nice little surplus of funds well over and above.what we normally save etc. So now I am kicking around the idea of getting some thing to shoot just for the fun of it. I have never really bought a firearm just for fun they have been purchases to fill a need. So I am looking for something fun to shoot could be either a handgun or long rifle. Best thing is my wife signed off on the idea so what are some things to consider keeping in mind I would really like something affordable to shoot and availability of ammo. Kind of looking in the $1k range thoughts? Thank you

Ammunition not really an issue if that's what you meant?

Went to Mount Juliet Wally world tonight they had a nice composite Ruger 10/22 with a stainless barrel priced at $254.00 seemed like a lower than normal price? I am kind of itching to get something to plink with now that my range is nearing completion. Doesn't. Seem like there are a lot of inexpensive options out there that wont break the bank to shoot on a regular basis? Seems like a a 10/22 might be an option any other thoughts on an affordable long rifle that would be affordable to shoot? Thank you

Oh yes i Contacted Bersa as the Store purchased it from was of little to no help after the sale. Chalk that one up to experience. But at any rate I shipped everything back to the Bersa Authorized service center. Thanks

Please explain? Maybe I am being to analytic about it? But it just did not sit well with me when it failed right out of the box. I did a lot of research on it before making the purchase. So maybe that's where the rub came in? For me I need to know it will be reliable. I remember when circumstances dictated a switch from 45 acp to 9mm I was hesitant but when the 92G performed flawlessly right out of the box I was lessaprehensive. That's not to say I stopped carrying my 1911 in the off hrs. I guess it all boils down to confidence.

Not to rude but that was kind of the point in buying the reloaded ammo and steel case stuff I figured that if it shot those well most likely it would be good to go with good quality ammo. Thank you
-
I have some factory reload and bought a box of steel case ammo from academy last night so I guess I will test out the new range and see what happens if passes a few hundread rounds then perhaps I will see about changing the grips really like to have frim grip and just dont care for the squishy grip feeling. But so far i have not been able to find them locally

Just got my Bersa 388 CC back from repair which failled to function the first time used 5 different types of ammo all same result ftf fte so do you trust it after that or just chalk it up to a bad purchase and call it good? i had plans on replacing the plastic grips on it as the factory ones are really quite flimsy, but at this point I really can noy justify spending money on some thing that has such a dismal record, Nor could i justify selling it to someone else knowing my experiences with it. The repair person confirmed that it was malfunctioning and states he honed the feed ramp etc and it should be fine.

Does any one know where I might be able to find used railroad ties? Or something similar that would be inexpensive to use on the back and sides of my berm? Or just be happy with the pile of dirt? Thank you

Seriously? all kidding aside, will potatoes grow here? My wife and I will be plating the garden this week and had not thought about that. We usually do the standard fare tomatoes, watermellon, green beans, squash, sweet red peppers, hot pepers, etc had not thought about potatoes might be a nice addtion we usually have anout a 3/4 to an acre garden. Really cuts down on the grocery bill.
