    m1 or clone

Having a hard time making a choice would really love to have a M1a but having lived near Illinois I have seen the effects of their pollitics and I just can not justify supporting that state even in directly thus I can not justify buying a new Springfield product. So I guess that either leaves an import or if any one knows of a used one in the area?
  2. Asking for prayers for his family and his co-workers.
  3. [quote name="TrickyNicky" post="1185262" timestamp="1409583594"]As mentioned the super colibri are generally fine through a rifle in my experience. I load the Henry up and plink away. Other than that I just use them in my revolver or single shot through a semi.[/quote Love my Henry Frontier joy to shoot and plenty aaccurate. I was wanting to get some range time in now that temps are Dropping a bit. Good to hear they will work in a Henry.
  4.   I am in the works fine for me crowd carry mine daily mostly owb but can carry comfortably iwb as well, but I am a big guy (tall) so that may have something to do with it.  Have no issue  with the 92G being decocker only. Just my .05 ( .02 adjusted for inflation0
  5. Looks like an excuse to buy a 22lr revolver then. My wife picked up two boxes not knowing. Thanks everyone
  6. Looks like it says primer only? Recommended for hand gun use. Anyone ever try it? Was really wondering if it would be ok for use in a lever action?

    It's Hot

Cold last Winter???????????????? We lived in South Dakota for two years berfore moving to Indiana and now here.  How is it possible for it to be cold in TN?  32 degrees below zero actual temp not taking into account wind chill thats cold.   Love the weather here and will not be moving again lol
  8. Yes we do rotate for things like chicken and dumplings you just cant beat home grown chicken. We have about 100 chickens about a week away from transitioning free range to freezer and canned meat and chicken stock.
  9. Any one know what the average shelf life of Canned Chicken. It was canned used preasure canner, canned according to directions. Thanks
  10. Thank you very much. I exchanged a few emails with the pastor there. He was very helpful and did not shy away from direct and to the point questions. I had inquirered about their firearm policy and he advised that there were fellow leos that attended on a regular basis as well as members that carried as well. Understanding that church should be a safe place where one should beable to trust that nothing would happen however history has shown that not to always be the case. As one of the pastors I knew would say "trust in God but row to shore in a storm" Thanks again your response was very helpful and thoughtful.
  11. Thank you was not sure. For some reason I just thought perhaps because of the United part. Thanks again
  12. Methodist? Thank you
  13. Thanks carrying for me never really an issue. Although I did ask their firearms policy to which they have no prohibition. One of the churches we attended was very clicky and it seemed that new people were almost discouraged from attending. So I guess we will keep looking.
  14. Anyone attend there? Being new here we have already tried a church and found they were not a good fit based on several factors. I have been in touch with the executive pastor there and they seem to be consistent with our beliefs and they appear to be con cerned about the safety of those attending services. So I was just wondering if any one attended there and if they were willing to share any information. Thank you
  15. Agreed too many people thinking that there way is the only correct way to do x y or z. I utilize a retention holster for consistency. Just as I carry a full size Semi Auto for consistency. I have encountered a few people who have let me know open carry really is not the correct way to carry and how basically they were obligated to educate me. Before we moved here I had some older fellow approach me at Meijers in Indiana tell how he could not help but notice my firearm and how state law requires it to be concealed. I asked him how was it that he could not help but notice my side arm but he did not notice the bright shiny object next to it? Then at that point I could not resist correcting him on his statement that Indiana law requires hand guns be concealed; because Indiana issues a LTCHG (license to carry a hand gun) the law is silent on method of carry so that concealed or open carry is permisible.
  16. Not to be sarcastic but could you provide supporting documentarion and facts to support your assertion? Additionally as I stated there are fringe groups in many areas not just religion I did not state all were bad. However again if someone calls for the death of anyone based on their religious views that is terrorism. As precviously stated Islam is not a religion.
  17. Agreed there are fringe groups in a lot of religions.... But any group that calls for the death of all that do not recognize Alah is a terrorist in my book. If you doubt me read the Koran.
  18. I only have only been a registered voter in Tn for a little over 3 months. It did not take me long to research that he is not as advertised. He will not get my vote next week nor will any other of the so called conservatives. They really cant hide from their voting record!
  19. Anyone happen to attend there? Or know anything about them? The family and I are looking for a local church. Thank you.
  20. Have one of those up too right next to the no trespassing sign. Buster is really quite friendly. We just finished fencing the front in before he just had a small section behind the house until I could tie the fence together. Now he has about 3 acres where he can run yet still be on our property. Slowly I am working on getting the rest of the back fenced in but it is going to be a fall project now just a bit too hot to be sinking post. My guess is he is just claiming it as his and letting others that show up unannounced and decide the closed gate does not apply to them that they just made a poor choice.
  21. I have not purchased any since moving here. In Indiana they were about $7.00 for. 50 before all the hoopla then they went up to $9.00. I saw some yesterday almost a full shelf of them which leads me to think they were way over priced they were any where from $12 to $18 for fifty
  22. Perhaps not but guessing you would be the first person there helping if a child was in need,

I could not tell that by the  one in Mount Juliet Maybee that one is independently owned buyt there was a plaque as Big as day from the Wilson county chapter of the NRA thanking them for their support. Fox news was on all the tv's ( i know fox news has few Alan combs on there but overal the are far better than cnn nbc etc)  Additionally there are no postings, trust me after the Papa Johns sign I pay close attention to Gun Buster signs as a matter of principle.  Yes I respect the business owenrs decision but I equally have the right to spend my hard earned money in a  manner that  is consistent with my Beliefs.

Stopped in tonight as my wife and son are visiting my mother inlaw. Low and behold the was a plaque on display from the Nra thanking them for their support. Seemed like a really nice place food was good a little spendy but I would rather support a chain that is not anti Gun.
