  1. Do you have Internet? If so may I suggest you look into getting a Roku. We did so 3 years ago and have not looked back. Direct tvnis no more and we are not paying $80.00 a month for Tv. There are lots of old movies available as well as apps for history channel a and e and a bunch more.
  2. I don't think it is based on research on the serial number. Perhaps someone wanted it to appear so.
  3. A while back I purchased one. It is in excellent condition however it appears that someone removed the finish from the frame and buffed and polished it to have the appearance of stainless. The slide is black. Since doing a little reasesrch I have come to appreciate the quality and workmanship that went into the gun and I think I would like to return it to as close as the factory finish as possible. So does anyone know someone that could refinish it? Thanks

    Local Gun Store

Ended up purchasing the Mini at Guns and leather at Green Briar. Price was reasonable and was even given a free range. Pass not that. I would use it but nice thought. Still miss Jerry's Gun shop though.
  5. 5 days total. The real test will be how long it takes them to process my wife's application.
  6. Funny I did the same thing to demonstrate how weak a 22 lr round was to a know it all. Shot a steel case 223 casing with my Henry the weak 22 lr drove the 223 case into the 2x6 that was set in front of it. Me I would go with the 10/22 besides you can always use two or three of them. I have been eyeing the synthetic stainless model.

    4g or uhd tv

Anyone have any experience with them? Now that our aux heating unit is in place we are looking at adding a Tv set for the living room. Also curious if any one has any experience with the ones with built in Netflix? Are they as fast as the Roku? We have always had good luck with Sony's we are looking for something that's a good size but not off the hook.
  8. Thanks I think we are going to look in that direction. Seems to me a little extra spent on better quality is going to be well worth it
  9. Ok so my wife wants a practical 12 Guage. We were looking at the 870 Express in what they were calling synthetic to me it just looked like cheap plastic with Pitts groves and casting marks. To me for the price the fit and finish should at least be what I would call service grade. Seems to be it should not look like it was poorly assembled.

    Walmart

Any one work there? Or just want to voice their opinion. Looks like they will be giving 20% off firearms for Black Friday so I was wanting to get my son a plinker they have a nice synthetic stainless for $257.00. So that would put it about $207.00 plus tax not a bad deal in my opinion. So I was thinking of putting it in layaway and picking it during the sale. As I am not really sure how many they stock Wonder if that would work?
  11. $180 a month I would have had a heart attack! Even in Indiana we did not spend that. Usually about $350 for the year. But I am finding that. Grain mills are non existent around here. Pellets are a bit more but still reasonable. Happy to have our multifuel stove up and running.
  12. MINI 14
  13. Thank you. We don't really use the heat pump thing. We have corn stove that puts out a lot of btu's Basically we just run the fan to circulate the warm air around the rest of the house.
  14. I was messing around with the the thermostats and settings one of them said emergency heat. Being from the Midwest we really only had tempature settings never heard of emergency heat?
  15. Yup Grecian was the place we went to. Very good. Chicago(Chirak) style has nothing even close.
  16. Oh ok that makes sense now. The Checkmate portion is what was puzzling to me. Thanks
  17. We did some house hunting there initially when we were in the process of moving to TN. There is a fantastic Greek pizza place there in a little strip mall. Family owned good prices good service and really good calzones.
  18. We have two dogs that were from a rescue they had a terrible flea infestation. Before we realized it the fleas were in the carpet and it seemed like a vicious circle. We used a. Flea shampoo for the dogs and used borax on the carpets. From what I was told the borax dries them out and they can not survive. It worked well for us might be worth a try.
  19. My vote get it fixed by your shop of choice. Too many variables now a days with vehicle construction the advent of ultra high strength steel has been a game changer. Also your vehicle will now show a hit on nicb as well so I would definitely present a claim for DIV as well.
  20. Very nice. But checkmate restricted Mag's?
  21. If you dig down don't forget to put in drain tiles or some means for the water to run off. I forgot to do that and ended up with a small lake. I have since put in drain tiles.

    my wife called

She saw it thank goodness. The last time Buster tangled with a skunk back in Indiana in the middle of the night needless to say he spent the night out side after that. Seemed like you could still smell it a week later despite the dawn tomato juice and the no skunk smell shampoo from Pets mart. Guessing it must have been sick because she said it was walking right towards her and walking sideways.
  24. I guess the goose was going ballistic then the dog starting barking at the back door. Afterwards she went on a little backyard safari seems there was a skunk stumbling around spraying everywhere. Looks like the score ended up Henry 1 skunk 0. Funny because she thought it was silly to buy a Henry in a 22lr she never really shot it before today. I always told her you cant go wrong with a good 22lr. She was going on about how smooth it was and how nice the bullseye peep sight was( the sights were an add on you know the kind if that's what you want purchase) Funny that she went for the Henry even funnier now she wants one of her own. Looks like we will be. Making a trip to Greenbrier soon.

    Hard to believe

Exactly what I need but has to be ordered. Not really sure why they would not stock a few of them in the store. Thanks
