    Ruger Ar

[quote name="LMTFAN" post="1251808" timestamp="1426602881"]The Smith and Wesson isn't in the Brand X category if one reads the reviews on it. Along with some other guns, It gets very good reviews in the entry level AR category and has for some time now. I doubt that you'd find a lot of really significant qualitative differences between it and the Ruger. [/quote Wasn't making a judgement about the Smith and Wesson just using "BRAND X" To express my opinion that if this brand or that brand is so much better than the Ruger why are those brands still on the shelf and the Ruger is not? Just saying

    Ruger Ar

Stopped in a place today they did their best to talk me into a Smith and Wesson the guy said you know there are only 3 company's that make them and Ruger gets their parts and just assembles them in the US. Finding that hard to believe? Also if brand x was so much better why is it still sitting on the shelf and the Ruger is not. I am just looking for an entry level AR seems like Ruger is going to be a good choice unless I am. Missing something.
  4. No not really. I am pretty fortunate have a great wife and son. Funny I travel a lot for work and sometimes on short notice and irregular times. One of my co-workers kind of sees his time away from his family as a vacation. Me I must be weird because I see it as doing what I need to so I can provide for my family. I thank God every day and appreciate everything. Lfe is a gift.

    1945 M1 garand

Thanks if your interested they had it at the Reloaders Bench in Mj. If I decide to do it we may take a road trip to the store I heard that they were very nice there and a wealth of information.
  8. We watched it seemed like it got a bit over the top on the last episode of the 2nd season.

    Ruger Ar

Any one know anything about them. Gander Mountain had them advertised for I think $699.00 which means you can probably find them some where else for a reasonable price. Since I don't have an AR was giving it some thought.

    1945 M1 garand

Saw one today 1945 model around $900. Seemed kind of steep but seemed to be in good shape for the year. Kind of kicking around the idea of getting one.
  11. You hit it spot on. I just would like the piece of mind.
  12. Another thouught I had was since we have an active stream possibly looking a water filtration system? Plus we are walking distance to the lake. Thoughts?
  13. Ok that's too funny.
  14. Ok we will be at our home for a year shortly. Major stuff is done fencing etc. So now I would like to put a well in. I have spoken to a few of the people near by about the lack of wells. You would think I was the village idiot for asking about it? I am sure wells must exist around here? Or am I missing something? Any one know someone or a company that does wells or where I might start? Thanks
  15. Since we moved here we have been with them. Very friendly.
  16. No not anti it just came in conversation.
  17. Yeah "Excuse me while I go Google Mood Ring"
  18. That's wild
  19. Mood Ring?
  20. Ok so were out to dinner with friends last night some how we got to talking about guns and such. And I mentioned that I sure would not mind having a M1 Garrand. For me it would be worth while to preserve a piece of history not to mention being fun to shoot. Then our friends wife pops up and says something to the effect about being concerned of the history of the Rifle. My reply was something to the effect that ah you mean a history of keeping Americans safe and preserving Liberty? Then she said that she would not want it in her house because it may have been used to take a life. I about fell over. Then she says yeah you know it could be haunted. For me this was really off the rail. Anyone else ever hear something so preposterous?

    In-store Handling

If I may the Ruger Sr9c has been flawless. Nice trigger and lots of options for capacity. Combine that with a mag loader and its a good option. Even though I carry a 1911 now I still have the Sr9c as a bug. Sorry I cant help with the gun store side.
  22. I received a response from Corker which seemed to more of a pat on back for himself but a response none the less.
  23. Looks like a nice option. We have two of them 22lr and 22mag lots of fun. Wouldn't mind adding an addition just wish they offered it in the blue with the octagon barrel.

    Dollywood

We went to Disney last year. Seemed like it was lacking something? People were kind of rude and impolite. Guess that's a lot of places any more. I was also kicking around the idea of Savanna Georgia? They are supposed to have a lot of paranormal places there. My wife and son enjoy that kind of thing. For me its about spending time with family.
