+1 for a RIA FS 9mm tactical. If I were buying today I'd get the 9mm/22tcm version. The 22tcm is apparently a hoot to shoot.
  2. 25 people in the class I was in and maybe 5 hand NEVER SHOT B4. All passed. When I found out that one round of the shooting was at 3 yards I thought I better try that B4 the test. It was so close it was really weird. Pay attention and when your instructor says 'this is important' or talks really loud, it's a good bet that it will be on the test. You won't need it but, Good luck.
  3.   My 1911 is a Rock Island Armory 9mm. Full size and the tactical version that has better sights. Very nice gun, accurate, easy and cheap to shoot.
  4. +1 on Rock Island. I would go with Tactical version for better sights. I have the 9mm version and love it.
  5. As stated above, I do not like the design. Berms just don't cut it for me. Rifle shooters would be afraid of pistol shooters and pistol shooters would be afraid of rifle shooters. I also think 300 yards from nearest house is just about 2 miles to short.
  6. At Fort Bragg in 1967 there wasn't one drill Sgt that ever cracked a smile. I sure hope this kid can fly a drone or something.

    cz 75

CZ 75 is on my wish list and I found some good reviews on the Canik 55TP-9SA which is a CZ 75 clone made in Turkey and a lot less expensive. Decisions, decisions decisions.
  8. I have the RIA FS Tactical but in 9mm. The rear sights were black but had 2 indented dots on either side and it was a nice place to put drops of white paint. The front sight is now red, I painted from the top of the sight down about half way.
  9. I have the RIA 9mm Tactical and it is flawless!! Blacked out sights but a place to put 2 drops of white paint on the rear sight and I did the front sight red. LOVE the pistol.
  10. I went to that show a couple of years ago and was not impressed. Has it gotten better? Maybe next year.
  11. Strong balance sheet and no debt.
  12. Thanks for the RR. The lc9s is on my short list with a M&P Shield and a Glock 26. I have be able to shoot the S&W and the Glock but only dry fire on the Ruger.
  13. Ruger NM Blackhawk 357/38. Single action is the way to go at the range. Plus Rugers are easy and fun to work on.
  14. +1 on RIA. Why 45? If for plinking etc get a 9mm and save a bunch on ammo. I have a RIA 9mm Tactical and love it. Got the Tactical version for the better sights. Gun is fun to take apart and reassemble.
