  1. I owned a 2004 vstar 650 for 5 years, put about 18000 miles on it commuting back and forth to work. I averaged 50-55 mpg. Biggest complaint was above 70 mph the engine "feels" like its gonna hit the rev limiter as it turns a lot more rpm's than a larger displacement bike. Maintenance is no big deal. It runs best on regular gas, which is what the manual calls for. The best forum is 650ccnd.com Tons of useful information and a lot of help with maintenance and repair if your not mechanically inclined. It was a great bike, The only reason I sold it was too many near misses from cell phone yakkers! I still ride dirt (9 bikes and counting!). Ive owned Harleys, Triumph, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Bultaco, Montessa, and Yamaha. My first bike 40 years ago was a Yamaha and I own 6 now. They make good bikes.

My mastiff is 160lbs and my boxer is 75lbs, they both are doing very well on Purina One and all the table scraps they can beg! Neither are "fat" they are just solid, active, and both are happy and well adjusted.

  6. In the late 70's / early 80's i think the local police dept. used it.Maybe check with them and see who runs it now.
  7. Ive found burnt cars/trucks while dirtbike riding around coalmont, a couple of old strip pits that are flooded, but you can see cars in them if the angle is right! Usually we just find peoples junk and garbage. If you can haul an old bed or washer 5 miles out into the woods why cant you take it to the dump?
  8. I have a 7 month old Fila Brasiliero (Brazillian Mastiff), weighs 110 lbs now, and a brindle boxer 9 months, 55 lbs. I lost my best friend another brindle boxer last summer but these guys are helping alot.
  9. My first ship was an adams class also, USS Sellers DDG-11,1982-1985. She was scrapped a few years ago by Metro Machine Corp in Norfolk. (www.memach.com) They used to have a list of all the ships they were dismantling. I was also onboard USS Klakring FFG-42 from 1985-1989. Im an Engineman, so I REALLY prefered the FFG over the DDG! Tours in Iceland, GTPPT Greatlakes, and Panama brought me to retirement. I read the other day that we are still building Arliegh Burkes for at least 10 more ships.
  10. My son plays some, He's always swapping guns, gear, etc. The only one he has kept is the BT-4 I gave him last year!
  11. How do you get to Waldens range? I live in Manchester but havent heard of it. Is there also a shop? I usually go shoot at Viola Valley Range. thanks
