  1. With those reviews I wouldn't have bought one either. I frequent the the sccy forum at sccyforum.com and it seems a bad batch has came out recently but most that have called and worked with SCCY have had their issues resolved fairly quickly. You do need to make sure you get a 2nd gen though as the first gen was a majour problem child.   My Girlfriend has the KelTec P11 which is almost identical and in comparing the two the SCCY wins hands down by every person we've let shoot both.    Also from reading I didn't see anyone else that specifically said they had first hand experience with them. I searched hard for about 2months before buying mine because it was my first pistol and the first gun I ever bought and I planned to carry it every day. I had a very tight budget and if I picked wrong I was SOL.    And I'll go ahead and apologize if I came across as if I'm undermining the peoples above I'm sure most have way more knowledge of fire arms than me I'm just sharing my first hand experiences.
  2. Guess I'm odd man out. I have one and carry it every day. I've got about 600rds  down it with the only trouble coming from the springs being installed backwards in the magazines and a squished magazine. I've been in contact with their customer service a few times to get some parts that they have updated and every time the parts shipped the next day and at no cost to me. I have have faith that if I ever need to send my gun in for repairs it will be a quick turn around time.
  3.   Just yesterday I was at an auction in Sevierville that my dad frequents and they auctioned 50rds of lead nosed plinking ammo and there was people bidding it up to 15$ a box. Dad said they've been auctioning ammo for a while and 22lr always goes for around 12-15$ per 50rds. People are just crazy. All the rest of them ammo they had, 44mag 45 and 40, all went for pretty good prices just the 22 was through the roof.

  6. I've got a 6.5in model I picked up in June for a present for my Girlfriend. She loves it and it's dead on accurate at hitting a 8in metal plate at about 25yds. I paid 140$ for it (a little too much looking at prices now) with just the LR cylinder. She love's it and it's been great. Haven't shot it much as I've only been able to aquire on bulk box of 22 in about a yr. You are gonna wanna check the screws on it from time to time as they do have a habit of lossening from time to time but it only takes about 2min while cleaning to make sure they're all good. Also when I last checked, about a week ago, you can still buy the WMR from them for 30$ I picked up a set of grips for it off ebay in poor condition and painted them with a pink and black snakeskin pattern for her. 7. According to 2 different HCP instructors; one being a senior officer for the sheriffs department; I've talked to it is legal under the new law. One of them did tell me though that he has heard that they will be changing the law again in the next year. He wasn't sure though which way the law would go though. As always though both their advice was long as you don't make it known you probably won't have a problem, unless you need to use it one day.
