I prefer "y'all" because it makes more sense as a contraction of "you all."

I bet Ruger would trade out the problem magazine if you called them. Worst case scenario, they have you send in the whole gun. The one time that I had to send back my whole gun, it took about 2-3 weeks time from sending it to receiving it back.

Is it too much to hope for ARs with sights, no outdoor barrels of guns, and a distinct lack of full auto weapons?
-
Wizard and Glass could be used as flashbacks in the other movies, maybe. I hope they keep the ending of the entire series.
-
I would like to see that as some type of plot point. Either someone gets killed because they ran out of ammo, or they make a point of converting CA legal rifles/magazines to more sensible ones.

Several years ago, during one of the previous disease outbreaks, some people got in trouble for using a wood chipper for both euthanasia and disposal of chicks, I believe. Although it is debatable how much pain the birds actually could feel before dying, it was gruesome enough to cause an outcry.

Did you see Clint Eastwood's son in "Fury?" He somewhat looks like a young Clint Eastwood while being his own man. Maybe Stephen King will play himself when he shows up in the later movies. Just kidding, I hope they cut that completely, along with the Golden Snitch and Lightsaber-wielding Doombots. The Wolves can literally look like anything else and be more believable. They are going to need to run Detta's lines by several actual black people; I think I remember cringing at some of the dialogue that came from the mind of a white guy. I'm thinking Roland doesn't lose any fingers, because that would be a pain to CG in every shot.

It seems to me that the more people that must disarm, the more chances for a negligent discharge.
-
So if a LEO in a traffic stops knows that I am carrying because I told him, and he can legally disarm me, how does that work? I am not touching any gun around a nervous cop if I can avoid it. To disarm me on most days, you would have to untuck my shirt and get really close to my body, and I can be ticklish. Can I say that I will not remove my gun, but I will also not resist? Seems like a good reason why you should not volunteer that you have a gun. The one time that I was pulled over in Georgia while armed, and answered yes to the deputy's question about being armed, he just told me to keep my hands in front while he talked with the other driver who he also pulled over.

I just found this week that they changed something after the initial production that affects magazines fit. I have an early model that does not like USA-manufactured magazines, but never has a problem with the Italian ones. I found that out after having a second magazine that would come unlatched and failure to chamber a round multiple times. I thought it was my grip causing me to touch the release, but it only happened with the American magazines. With the first problem magazine, I could sometimes strip the magazine without touching the release. So I had the opposite problem; maybe Ruger's fix for this problem has resulted in your problem. Check and see if the problem is dependent on the type of magazine. I would check that before they have you send the entire gun back. They did not admit to the problem with the first mag, but did with the second mag. They did send replacements though for both. I can see slight differences when comparing Italian and American mags, but I cannot figure out how it affects the function.

TN Attorney General Opinon On Park Property
dawgdoc replied to 300winmag's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I would say the AG opinion is pretty unambiguous. Can the AG bring an action against the city, or does someone have to sue on an individual basis? The arrogance of Solomon is jaw-dropping. Nashville needs to be taken down a notch and humbled. -
I use a Remora with the tuckable option daily with a tucked-in dress shirt. 4 o'clock position. However, I have not used any other type of IWB holster.

JULY 25 TN/GA/AL Suarez Training Group !!!!

I'm glad I took advantage of this excellent learning opportunity. Thanks. -
I guess I should update my experience in the last year. I still have not seen any cats have the typical permethrin toxicity (tremors and seizures) from Seresto collars, but I have seen some have topical reactions (excessive itching). So the Seresto collar goes against my conventional wisdom of avoiding permethrin products on cats, so far. It works really good for fleas. I have used Bravecto since last year, which is an oral product that kills fleas for three months and most species of ticks for three months (one tick species is only labeled for 8 weeks). Nexgard is an oral drug in the same drug class that kills fleas and ticks for 1 month (haven't actually used it yet, but based on the data, I see no reason why it would not work).

Cockaded seems familiar, but it has been over 15 years ago. It was some type of woodpecker, and I think the nests were easy for snakes to raid, maybe.

I drove by his neighborhood on the way home today; the entrance sign was turned into a memorial with flags and signs.

At Ft. Stewart, which had habitat for the Red Pileated Woodpecker (which was I think a threatened species at the time), they would put anti-snake devices to keep the rat and corn snakes from getting into their nests. In south Georgia, we had yellow rat snakes, black rat snakes, and gray rat snakes with overlapping ranges, so we ended up with a lot of intergrades that didn't really fit the traditional pictures found in snake identification guides. They can also get very long and fat (longer than 6 ft), but they get very docile in captivity. I once fed a captive rat snake a mouse leg (rather than a whole mice); to my surprise, it scarfed it down like Homer Simpson eating a drumstick.

People might be a little on edge around here for awhile. I can imagine that there might be a few MWAG calls that LEO would be obligated to investigate, and the response may be a bit exuberant.

I was talking with a friend this morning who knows someone (yes, a friend of a friend) may have been hassled at Coolidge Park in Chattanooga. It sounds like he was OC, and some Chattanooga cops pointed to the signs saying the park was posted. He replied about the the change in the law to which the LEO responded that the park was still posted. However, he was not arrested or forced to leave. It is a plausible story that some LEOs might be trying to intimidate people into not carrying or at least CC, but they know the law has changed. I only have the story second hand, so I cannot verify it all. If this is true, it would have happened before the Naval Reserve Center shooting.

Quote that I just heard on the news (News Channel 9): "We don't know what is happening at this time." Sounds like they are trying to lock down everything on Amnicola Highway. And then a reporter is saying there is no longer an active shooter.

This device is made to give you a place to lean one or two guns against a car or the outside of the safe. I use mine inside a gun cabinet because the rifle rest inside was too high for my AR. It is lightweight foam, so it is meant to be portable. It is made in the USA. I have seen other magnetic devices, similar to what barewolf posted, in Academy and Sportsman's Warehouse.

Carrying into someone's home?
dawgdoc replied to Grayfox54's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
From what I have read here, I don't think anyone is saying to carry a gun in spite of a homeowner's wishes. Rather that carrying is a non-issue that they don't feel the need to ask a homeowner anymore than they need to ask a business owner who hasn't posted a sign. In other words, lack of specific prohibition notice equates to the "king" is ok with you carrying. Let's take the "man's home is castle" analogy a little further. Did each and every knight remove his sword before entering the castle? Or did the king (at least then non-paranoid ones) understand that an armed man can enter his domain without automatically being a danger? Did the king not even expect his guest to potentially defend the castle if needed? I'll share a quote from a poster on GeorgiaPacking.Org that I find relevant to this situation: I completely understand that you can make rules for your own property, but I don't think you should get upset if someone breaks a rule they don't know about. -
They don't have to come down or change until part of regular maintenance, which could be never for some signs. So if a vandal destroys a sign, then it doesn't get replaced. Otherwise, they get to leave them up until the "maintenance" happens.

Russian ship is presumably sunk. They placed and detonated charges around the ship. The carrier scientist was shown walking through the passages wearing a Russian sailor's uniform. They then cut to a scene of the Americans in their boat with the Russian ship blowing up in the background. They didn't actually show the Russian ship sink, but it seems like it would have been damaged beyond repair, and the fact that the crew was exposed to the scientist would suggest that some survivors would be infected. However, I believe they left open the fate of the commander in case they want to bring him back; they could always say he escaped on a different life boat than the scientist. The next time we see any clue of what happened is the scientist shows up at a Florida beach refugee camp wearing the Russian uniform. They said he arrived on the inflatable raft (RIB?) from the Russian ship.

Yes. I actually surprised how fast they are moving the story along. With the first episode, I figured (based on other shows) it would be three seasons before they would have a vaccine. At least now the actors don't have to wear those bio suits while filming in humid environments.
