  1. Either day is good for me.
  2. I'm good for whatever.
  3. Really? I don't remember seeing that last week. Hell, I was talking to the gun counter guy for 10 minutes and he know I was carrying and he didn't say anything.
  4. http://www.rightthisminute.com/post/rtmtv-guys-shoot-guns-first-time-and-their-reactions-are-priceless To funny.
  5. And why did they found so many? Because, they forgot they had them on. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2015/01/23/379325043/tsa-agents-discovered-2-212-firearms-at-airport-checkpoints-in-2014
  6. Ted S and me were just talking about this in the chatroom. There are alot of members from Clarksville on here that we should have a meet up. So, any ideas on when and where we should meet?
  7. Today I went into Easy Pawn here in Clarksville for the first time since they expanded their gun counter last month. And they have great selection of semi autos and revolvers. They had a few Star firearms and a few .32 revolvers and a couple of other firearms I've never heard of. On the 31st they're having a gun showcase from noon to four with plenty more firearms and chances to win prizes.
  8. Hey guys need your help with this. I've decided to write TN Gun Country about a revolver class and here's what I have so far. Any help you can give me would be great. Dear Sir, When looking over your training classes I've noticed that they are mainly for semi autos and as someone who carries a revolver I find that sad. In fact when I asked on Facebook if the class was good for someone who carries a revolver I was told it would be better to use a semi auto and that not a lot of people use revolvers. I think the revolver is still a great choice for ccw and I know a lot of people think so to judging by snub nose sales from Ruger and S&W. Hopefully soon you will have a class that focuses on revolvers.
  9. For a semi auto I would go for the Ruger sr22 and revolver Ruger LCR 22.
  10. Back in '12 when I was getting back into shooting, after decades away, for my 1st handgun I bought a Ruger sr22 cause of the low recoil, how cheap the ammo was and it seems I'm hardwired into buying Ruger's just like my dad. Anyways, I used it for my HCP course last year and carried it for 4 months before trading it for something easier to carry and more firepower, the Ruger LCR .357. I shot over 300 trouble free rounds in it and felt fine carrying it and a spare mag around Clarksville.
  11. I was at TN Gun Country a few weeks ago talking to a few guys working the counter and they said they don't carry Taurus revolvers anymore because, over the course of a few months there would be problems with them. Like the cylinder would fall off right out, it wouldn't close right, all right out the box and then they would have to pay to send them back. It became to much of a hassle so they quit carrying there revolvers but, they still carry the semiautomatics. I've never had much experience with Taurus but, from reading online it seems they have great revolvers but, the semiauto's are hit and miss outside of their Beretta clones. So what is your experiences with Taurus?
  12. Thanks guys. I don't know how to explain but, I feel more comfortable carrying and shooting my LCR but, I've put over 300 rounds in it while my CPX2 I've put over a hundred but, had some many FTF's until I changed ammo and then I shot 50 trouble free rounds but, I went to shoot at least 200 trouble free rounds before I think of carrying it. I am just going to past on this one and take it again after I've put more rounds thru the CPX2 or if they ever have a revolver class.
  13. Just got an email from Ruger that they are coming out with an LCRx with a 3 inch barrel. Very cool.
  14. A few other things, he was with his 2 kids and his wife was thinking about carrying and hadn't shot in ages and that's why he did the whole 45 bit. But, he was right about pissing the guy off. I'm mean I'd be pissed if I was shot with a 9mm. Of course, I would also be rolling on the ground in pain trying not to bleed to death but, still pissed
  15. Next Sunday TN Gun Country is having a defensive pistol class. http://tnguncountry.com/pages/training/tngc_dfp1.html So on their Facebook I posted this question. "I carry a snub nose revolver if I took the class how many speed loaders should I bring? And on that note would this class be good for someone who carries a revolver?" And this is what the teacher replied back, "Edward you certainly could bring a revolver. However with most people shooting semi-autos you will have to work harder to keep up with the drills. You will get a lot of reloading practice. I recommend a semi-auto. By the way I'm the instructor for the course. If you have any more questions PM me." While I do have a semiautomatic I've not yet broken it in the where I'm as good shooting it as my lcr so that's what I want to use. Also, I feel a teacher should be able to teach you to use your gun of choice regardless of what it is. Thoughts?
  16. I've always felt that anyone that says so and so caliber ain't shit should be made to be shot once, center mass, with said caliber from about 4 to 5 feet right there on the spot.
  17. Here's a interesting story I would like to share. I was in Academy for the first time here in Clarksville a few weeks ago looking at the handguns where this husband is showing his wife guns and here is the interesting part. He takes her to the 45s and says, "A 9mm ain't shit all it's going to do is piss the guy off but, a 45 is going to stop him." I was very tempted to say something but, I just shaked my head and walked off. By the way, the guy was about 5'6 and jacked as hell so he must be compensating for something.
  18. Greetings I'm Edward from Clarksville. I've been around guns off and on all my life but, only in the last few years have I really got into them. I've been carrying since last summer. I carry a lcr 357, which is the revolver I plan to keep for life but, I have yet to found that one semi auto I want to keep for life. I shoot at TN Gun Country at least one a month and it's where I've bought all 4 of my handguns so far. Nice to be hear.
